WE STAND WITH GIBSON RALLY … Pics … Great Crowd Showed Up in Support of Gibson Guitar, Part I

WE STAND WITH GIBSON RALLY A SUCCESS IN NASHVILLE …

National and local Tea Party groups as well as concerned citizens from numerous states as far away as California came out in force today in Nashville, TN at the Scoreboard in support of Gibson Guitar and the overreaching abuse of power shown by Obama’s administration. Is there anything more American than Gibson guitar? What really is the reason why they would be stormed by armed federal agents like they were a Mexican drug cartel? All over wood … “We Stand with Gibson”.

The “WE STAND WITH GIBSON” rally included music with Grant Austin Taylor, Madison Rising, Rivoli Review and Christa Branch, local talk radio personality Phil Valentine and Mark Skoda, Amy Kremer of the Tea Party Express, Ben Cunningham of the Tennessee Tax Revolt and US Representative Marsha Blackburn (TN-R).

The order of the day … “We Stand with Gibson”

Since when do we treat American companies like this? As previously stated by the Tea Party Express, “We have to stand up to this overbearing tactics by the federal government and that is why we are partnering with other grassroots organizations across the country to stand with Gibson Guitars!”

Tennessee US Rep Marsha Blackburn

Local Nashville, TN & Syndicated Conservative Talk Radio Show Host Phil Valentine

Amy Kremer – Tea Party Express

During Amy Kremer’s comments on stage, the chairman of Tea Party Express told the crowd that Obama and the feds had their priorities wrong. Some thing new and unusual for Obama and the gang that couldn’t shoot straight. I had a great conversation with Amy regarding what the Obama and his minions have done since they were elected in 2008 and the need for all to get out and vote in 2012 and end this Obama presidency and the damage that has been done to the US.

“We have illegal immigrants crossing our borders every day. They’re breaking the law,” she said to cheers. “The government’s not doing anything about it, but yet they’re concerned about these little pieces of wood that are coming into our country across our borders?”

First they came for my Gibson … what’s next?

Ben Cunningham of the Tennessee Tax Revolt – If you have never heard Ben speak about the abuses of an overreaching government … you have really missed out.

More to come including more pics and VIDEO of the event. Wait until you hear the version of The Star Spangled Banner by Grant Austin Taylor played on his Gibson guitar … it rocked the house. Stay tune for more …

UPDATE I: Gibson Guitar CEO slams U.S. raids as “overreach”.

“Armed people came in our factory … evacuated our employees, then seized half a million dollars of our goods without any charges having been filed,” Gibson CEO Henry Juszkiewicz told reporters and others at a Washington lunch.

“I think it’s a clear overreach,” he said.

Too much Government is a dangerous servant.

Hell, No—-you can’t have my guns, any more of my tax dollars OR my Gibson.

Back Off, Uncle Sam! What’s next? After shoving mandated Health Care down our throats that we don’t want—what will you be coming for next?

My DVR, my SUV? My Non-Green House that I already pay too much for? My Hello Kitty Doll? My Grandmother’s Dentures?

Please continue to STAND UP AMERICA!

It’s ok to have fear as we read that California has just passed a bill to ALLOW ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS GOVERNMENT FUNDING FOR SCHOOL TUITION!!!!!!

What????? Ok, so MY TEENAGED CHILDREN need to prepare for any Scholarship they can get, we cannot qualify for financial aid since both parents work and earn income—so they will have to get a high interest STUDENT LOAN to drag them down for 5-8 years so they can get a degree AS AMERICAN CITIZENS and be LUCKY enough to land an internship or a measly $23-25k year job (if they can even find one?)

College Grads are working at Starbucks or Retail Jobs or waiting tables—WITH A DEGREE!!!!

This pisses me off! If I were a California resident, I would be banging on the door of my CongressMan and the dumbass Politician in charge who just signed this BILL!

When is it going to stop????????? We do MORE FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS AND NON-AMERICAN CITIZENS than our OWN??????

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE? Everything. Just like it is so wrong what the Feds have just put Gibson through?

SHAME ON every single Libtard involved in this mess and what I’ve described above. And you wonder why so many Americans are mad as hell??

      Ugh!

Good piece SM. When a government agency gets out of control and does stupid stunts like the Gibson raid, the people need to turn out as shown in this article.

The only way to get government back under control of the people is to get rid of the majority of the Democratic Party and their supporters in the various agencies around the country. Then the people need to impose term limits on all politicians including those in the states.

I believe they are accused of breaking the Lacey Act. The Feds supposedly had enough evidence to obtain a Search Warrant. They executed the Search Warrant. Now the Feds have to prove it in court. The Lacey act is an act of Congress and Gibson is accused of breaking US law.
I think the WHOLE Lacey Act should be repealed. But I think that people that break the law should be held accountable.
Obey the law or break it and accept the consequences. Change the law if you don’t like it.
The Feds should protect our freedoms and liberties, but the Feds should NOT be able to choose which laws to enforce. They are bound by the constitution to enforce All Laws.
      Change the law.
      Repeal the Lacey Act!

Marsha Blackburn voted to override veto of bill behind Gibson raid

The ‘Government’ is now the biggest, greediest, Corporation
of all right now. Yes, this huge overbearing assemblage is
a monopoly to boot. It cooperates with other huge supposedly
private corporations of it’s selection which on it face is criminal.
It chooses, unopposed, which smaller businesses will be targeted
for pain of process and those that shall remain protected. Kinda
like a protection racket is run. Those that cooperate and toe the
line, give money, support political ideologies, and generally
bow to Big Government are made invincible. This is NOT good!

    11. NGBoston on October 10th, 2011 7:56 am

@#9-Mickey White—Respectfully, Sir—if you think “people” who break the law should be held accountable—then time to CLEAN THE HOUSE OF CONGRESS with so many who still reside there.

      LIMITED TERMS!

Also- while some of your post is agreeable—what say you about the MILLIONS of ILLEGAL ALIENS HERE IN OUR COUNTRY BREAKING LAWS?

Can the US ever start at HOME, and tighten our borders, concentrate on LESS GOVERNMENT and SUPPORT AMERICAN BUSINESSES instead of outsourcing and importing and exporting so much GDP from China and everywhere else?

You open a huge can of worms, and the irony is rich. To boot, if EVERYONE under the US Law is bound to be held accountable for BREAKING THE LAW—what is your answer to SOLYNDRA (for starters)?

Barack Obama is as UN-AMERICAN as it gets. Don’t preach the law to us here, we know it well. Along with NOT BEING TIED TO PARTY LINES when we discuss who is guilty of doing all the things they shouldn’t. It goes across BOTH SIDES OF THE AISLE.

More importantly, we chose NO SIDES when calling those involved out. This act against Gibson was purely more political BS- because Gibson chooses to support the GOP? Are you serious????? The Feds not only overreached- they are barking up the damn wrong TREE ABOUT WOOD! WOOD THAT, if you trace it’s origins- is LEGITMATE! Give me a break.

WE ARE NOT BUYING IT and WE STAND BEHIND GIBSON.

Go sell your truck load of Horse Manure elsewhere.

    12. super dave on October 10th, 2011 8:00 am

i wouldn’t think that anybody in the Obama administration would know what Gibson is.

    13. NGBoston on October 11th, 2011 10:37 pm

#12—Aw, Shiiet, Homey—Our boy Barry knows what a Gibson is. He has an iPod, and listens to a variety of music. He shoots hoops, (cough) golfs, wears Mom Jeans and he is just so hip and groovy cool-like I am so sure he knows the difference between a Fender Stratocaster and a Gibson.

      NOT!

    14. Mamagee on October 12th, 2011 4:04 pm

From what I have read, the Lacey Act was amended in 2008 to add wood to the list. A couple of guitar company’s supported the amendment. Gibson was not one of them. Hmmm. As I look at my shiny guitar, I’m reminded of my shiny concealed handgun grip. Can’t help but wonder if Gibson was just an easy target that not too many people would go up in arms for. Not like other companies(i.e. Smith & Wesson)that use wood for their products. Is America being destracted at Gibson’s front door while the government establishes their case of the horrible Lacey Act wood law breaker, then goes through the back door for the shut down we all know they’re really looking for? Just saying. My opinion only.
