Hank Williams Jr. Sacked From MNF Over Obama-Hitler Remark … Are You Ready for Some ESPN Double Standards?

Yet another individual loses their job under Obama’s Presidency.

Yesterday morning Hank Williams Jr. remarks on FOX & Friends when he compared Obama and Boehner golfing  the equivalent of Hitler and Netanyahu. Needless to say it did not take long for ESPN to sack the voice of  the intro to Monday Night Football.

How dare any media outlet let anyone say anything against their “Chosen One, ESPN promptly sacked Hank Williams Jr., pulled his famous “Are you ready for some football” intro and gave him his pink slip. Yet another individual losing their job at the hands of Barack Obama.

Hank Williams Jr., the voice famous for asking millions of viewers if they’re ready for some football, has been pulled from Monday’s broadcast of “Monday Night Football” over a comment he made on Fox News this morning.

Williams, who sings the lead-in to the game each week, criticized the president for his golf summit with House Speaker John Boehner this summer.

“It would be like Hitler playing golf with (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu,” Williams told “Fox & Friends.”

Anchor Gretchen Carlson later said to him, “You used the name of one of the most hated people in all of the world to describe, I think, the president.” Williams replied, “Well, that is true. But I’m telling you like it is.”

USA Today, among others, picked up the quote, speculating on whether the comparison would get Williams booted from the broadcast.

ESPN released the following statement.

“While Hank Williams, Jr. is not an ESPN employee, we recognize that he is closely linked to our company through the open to Monday Night Football. We are extremely disappointed with his comments, and as a result we have decided to pull the open from tonight’s telecast.”

However, as stated by Dana Loesch at Big Government, nice double standard ESPN … would Hank Williams Jr have been safe if his comments were one’s against Sarah Palin? Let’s get the facts straight that even the neophytes at Fox & friends could not do … Williams did not call Obama Hitler. That task  is the job of the LEFT as they have continuously done it to the GOP and Tea Party. The comparison was a stretch, but he was using HYPERBOLE.

How toxic has President Barack Obama truly become. Obama is the most partisan President ever and his toxicity has now permeated sports as well. For 20 years Hank Williams Jr has been synonymous with MNF, not any more and low and behold, where there is a drastic change to Americana … Barack Obama can’t be far behind. ESPN pulls the intro.

As stated by the Lonely Conservative, ESPN is certainly free to do what ever they wish; however, having one standard fit all might be a bit appropriate. But of course that would be asking too much that some how a poorly constructed analogy of the partisanship in DC is some how a greater offense than fantasy rape of a female Republican.

What it does show … how divisive Barack Obama has made this country. Maybe ESPN can get the Dixie Chicks to do their intro now.

Hitler didn’t require a teleprompter to convince the masses….or George Sorros money behind him.

Both are of the same basic seed though. Take over control of the masses at any cost and eliminate those you don’t want around.

Hhmmmn…interesting. So what have we been reduced to? When someone excersizes their First Amendments Rights now they are instantly banned?

Wow…are we back to the old days of emulating KGB behavior? Give me a break.

Baraka Obama – The Chosen One

      Islam – The Chosen Religion

The offending in the media of either demands retribution.

However sucking it up and moving on is the name of the game when Republicans and/or Christians are offended likewise.

      The Politically Correct Double Standard

      1. An artist’s depiction on the front cover of Rolling Stones magazine of a person urinating on an image of Christ … Freedom of Expression .. President does not respond.

      2. The burning of a Koran by a pastor and his small congregation in protest of the contents … Hate Crime … President responds.

“The comparison was a stretch, but he was using HYPERBOLE.”

Of course it was an analogy, keebler….directly or literally calling a person Hitler makes no sense. But I understand you do have to spell it out for the teatards.

It was in poor taste and a slap in the face to the people who truly were oppressed and killed under Hitler’s regime. If you don’t like Obama suggesting a 4% tax increase on the upper 1% of income earners, voice your opinion. Just know that comparing that relative inconvenience with the slaughter of millions is stupid, and you’re going to be called on it.

Diminishing the horror of the Holocaust by comparing minor inconveniences to being rounded up like animals and slaughtered is A-OK, huh?

SM: Just like a typical, knew jerk reaction liberal. Obviously, you could not expand your horizons and get the joke made the reference to “hyperbole”. I guess I gave you more credit than I should of. BTW, Yohoo, he did not make a comparison of individuals, Willaims used the comparison to show the polar opposites.

But just like a typical fool liberal, you thought the worst. Why didn’t you think that Hitler might have been Boehner? If it was Palin, that would have been fine, right? Its OK that democrats have been calling the Tea Party Nazi’s and brown shirts, but a comparison of polar opposites is made and you folks become unhinged. Did Williams say Obama is Hitler … no he didn’t.

Sadly, lately ESPN has become nothing more than an apologist liberasl media outlet defending Obama. ESPN has becomme no different than CBS, ABC, NBC, MSNBC, CNN and the rest.

ESPN better get a reality check and see who actually is their demographic. Good luck with College Game Day the next time you plan on having it in SEC Country.

Too bad ESPN didn’t take the same plan of action when individuals were saying hateful things about Sarah Palin and Republicans.

More liberal media bias and a double standard.

Teatards? LOL you tool! The only ‘tards are the ones protesting on Wall Street; protesting against the majority of people on Wall Street who make 40-50K and trying to survive in NYC on that…total idiots! All them hippie tree-hugging tools!

    9. Mike Griffith on October 5th, 2011 10:15 am

It’s sad that Hank had to lose his spot on MNF for being passionate about his country, his political views and sports. It is obvious to anyone with an open mind what the comparison meant. ESPN, you won’t hurt Hank; He will write another song & most Americans will love it! Again, it is the minority telling the majority what to do. Congrats Hank.

so , calling tea party members nazis and racists is ok yoyo ? i hear that the democrat kkk party is now calling Herman Cain a racist ? you do know he’s black right ? what differentiates him from obama ?
sounds like you guys want racial tension because it’s all you have left to throw at the competition.

    11. rightknight on October 5th, 2011 10:44 pm

Hank, my man, you are now released to
say what you and the reasonable rest
of us are thinking. Speak out man!

At present, many of the rest of us are acting
like the 90% of the ‘Peaceful Religion’ who
are gagged by the threat of death if they
disagree with their masters in the hierarchy
of their belief system. Slavery is not fun.

“Good luck with College Game Day the next time you plan on having it in SEC Country.”

OMG, how out of touch are you with reality? You really think college students listen to Hank Williams JR? HAHAHAHA. Yeah, when they head to LSU or Alabama I’m sure no one will show up. What a moronic statement.

      in respons to SM #6:

Anchor Gretchen Carlson later said to him, “You used the name of one of the most hated people in all of the world to describe, I think, the president.” Williams replied, “Well, that is true. But I’m telling you like it is.”

don’t know, but the guy just said your president is like Hitler.
Good contribution to the already F* up political field in the US.
You guys might want to gear up for another 4-12 years of shouting and insulting while going nowhere.

    14. NGBoston on October 9th, 2011 6:11 am

#13- Dolf—and what are you going to gear up on? 4-12 more years of telling America what is wrong with us?

We have problems here, undeniably. Still don’t see how your Socialist form of Government in the NL can hold a candle to even the worst of days here in the US.

Typical Eurospeak—love to trash Americans, love to envy us and talk crap. Take a look at how great everything is going in Europe and then get back to us after taking a big hit from your legal bong which obviously you must be using as a crack pipe.

No wonder Europeans do despise Americans…we are far from perfect- but I will still defend my Country anyday and tell you we are the greatest place on EARTH to live.

First step towards our immediate recovery is not going gangbusters about party lines….and simply voting a QUALIFIED LEADER in to office who is MORE CAPABLE of running this Country. Hell, my 10 year old Newphew could run it better than Obama has!

    15. Dolf on October 12th, 2011 8:18 am

@14…I would take offence if ppl are calling my head of state Hitler.

no matter if I voted for him or not.

and I ment shouting and insulting in the US.
Remember how Bush was treated, how Obama is treated.

and don’t make comparisons about Europe that you know nothing about.

      a) We have a liberal gov. in the NL (in the US that would be a GOP gov.)
      b) Nl atm is a whole lot better of then the US
      c) Europeans hate the US?? Well not where I live.
We do put questions marks at some actions taken by the US gov.

and smoking pot is not legal, never was.
