Feds Announce Possible Terror Threat Around 9/11 Anniversary … “specific, credible but unconfirmed threat”

ABC News is reporting that new al Qaeda chief Ayman al- Zawahiri launched a terror plot for the 9/11 Anniversary. According to intel being developed by the CIA, that at least three individuals entered the United States in August by air with the intent to launch a vehicle-borne attack (car bomb) against Washington, DC or New York around or near the anniversary of 9/11.

Officials say the alleged terror plot was initiated by new al Qaeda chief Ayman al-Zawahiri, Osama bin Laden’s successor, who had pledged to avenge bin Laden’s death earlier this year in a U.S. raid.

Intelligence and law enforcement officials told ABC News that at least one of the individuals is a U.S. citizen and one official said that two of the individuals may have had U.S. documentation — whether green cards or passports was unclear.

The federal authorities have are warning local law enforcement that there is a  potential terrorist threat involving car bombs that could coincide with the 10th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. The Department of Homeland Security has  confirmed that it had information about a “specific, credible but unconfirmed threat.”

UPDATE I: 9/11 Anniversary Terror Plot Probed, NYPD on High Alert

The public was urged to be extra-vigilant over the next few days and to report suspicious activity to authorities. Kelly said the city was preparing for extra calls of suspicious packages to the 311 hotline.

A source said the information comes from two separate threat streams.

The Department of Homeland Security acknowledged the latest threat in a statement, noting that intelligence gathered in the raid of Osama bin Laden’s compound after he was killed last May showed that al-Qaida is concerned with the symbolism of dates and anniversaries..

Dutch Crime Reporter Peter DeVries Who Covered Natalee Holloway Case and Pursued Joran Van Der Sloot Retires

Peter DeVries, the Dutch crime reporter, who covered the disappearance of Natalle Holloway and hounded prime suspect Joran Van der Sloot has retired. DeVries did yeoman work  investigating the death and disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba. DeVries was also Joran Van der Sloot’s worst nightmare, other than Beth Holloway, as the Dutch crime reporter hunted the “little Dutch boy” throughout Europe and Thailand. How unfortunate, DeVries told the Dutch newspaper AD that he is simply tired of chasing crime stories.

The Dutch television reporter who secretly taped Joran van der Sloot confessing to dumping  Natalee Holloway’s body in the ocean….a “confession” later denied and discounted…is retiring from his crime reporting television show.

Peter DeVries became a continuing thread in the six year old mystery of Mountain Brook teen Natalee Holloway after her disappearance on a graduation trip to Aruba.

Although Natalee was last seen leaving an Oranjestad bar with van der Sloot, Aruban authorities never charged him in the case.

DeVries aired a show based on twenty hours of secret taping of van der Sloot by a friend.  In the program that aired on Dutch commercial station SBS6, van der Sloot told his friend how Natalee’s body was dumped in the ocean after she went into convulsions on the beach.

One would have thought that with the fantastic undercover work that Peter Devries did in obtaining a confession by Joran Van der Sloot in catching him on tape saying that Natalee was thrown into the ocean would have got Joran Van der Sloot arrested and convicted for her murder. However, this is Aruba we are talking about and the what is up is down and what is black is white. Using common sense and having a confession was not enough in the anti-world of Aruba.  Instead Aruba authorities said they needed more evidence than just the tapes if a van der Sloot confession.

Peter DeVries was nominated for two Emmys for his work on the Natalee Holloway case. We wish Peter DeVries the best, you are always welcome to some back and investigate crimes if you find you are missing it. The fact that Peter Devries was Dutch did much with those from the Netherlands who thought Van der Sloot was innocent. His Euro cred made many across the Pond understand that Joran Van der Sloot was a sociopath and responsible in the death of Natalee Holloway, even though Aruba never has the guts to try and convict him. Sadly, Joran would kill again on the 5th anniversary of the death of Natalee, this time in Peru.

Unbelievable, do we really need to listen to the speech? No union thugs here, or maybe not. What a crock. Isn’t Jeffrey Immelt of GE the poster boy for companies that Obama speaks of where loops holes need to be closed as GE paid no corporate taxes last year. Good grief, now it was grand mal seizures that Casey Anthony suffered from that was responsible for the death of her daughter Caylee Anthony. According to the chief enabler and fellow psychopath, Cindy Anthony stated on the Dr. Phil Show that Casey suffered from seizures and probably had one as Caylee drown in the pool.

They continue to game everyone and receive attention at the expense of little Caylee

George and Cindy Anthony continue to need their 15 minutes of shame, doing on the back on their murdered grand daughter Caylee. The entire family needs to be committed and removed from the public for our safety.

The episode featuring George and Cindy Anthony, the grandparents of tragic toddler Caylee, will be aired Monday and a Fox News source said that in it they claim Casey may have suffered a gran mal seizure while her daughter was dying.

President Barack Obama … 5 Times Worse on Economy than Jimmy Carter

WOW, WHO WOULD EVER HAVE THOUGHT THERE WOULD EVER BE A PRESIDENT WORSE THAN JIMMY CARTER … ENTER BARACK OBAMA.

Say hello to Barack “Jimmy Carter” Obama or is it Barack “Hoover” Obama? President Obama has been a complete failure and he knows it. According to Washington Whispers, Obama is 5 x’s worse than former President Jimmy Carter on the economy. YIKES!!!  Every policy he has attempted has been one miserable failure after another. Whether it was the $787 billion stimulus that funded not so shovel ready jobs, cash for clunkers for what his first term can be dubbed nothing short of a clunker.

Two new polls today find that just one third of the public feels President Obama deserves re-election while five times more Americans think Obama has done a worse job fixing the economy than Jimmy Carter, the modern era’s Herbert Hoover.

Washington Whispers contributor John Zogby tells us that his new polling is spirit-crushing for the depressed White House. “It was a very bad week for Barack Obama. Our polling shows his job approval at 39 percent and the percentage saying he deserves re-election at 33 percent, both the lowest of his term, while the percentage of voters saying the nation is on the wrong track reached a high since he took office at 75 percent,” he said.

Enough of the excuses Barack Obama. No one forced you to run for the Presidency and if you did not know how bad the economy really was, why were you saying it was that bad during the 2008 election? After all you were in the US Senate for 2 years.

We posed the question this way: “Many recent presidents up for reelection have struggled with troubled economies and growing unemployment like the current situation. Which of the following was the worst at fixing the economy?”

President Obama – 47 percent.
George H.W. Bush – 40 percent.
Jimmy Carter – 8 percent.
Ronald Reagan – 5 percent.

What a shock that only 18% of Americans think the country is headed in the right direction , only 18% say that today’s children will be better off than their parents and in poll after poll Barack Obama is falling faster than an ACME anvil targeting Wiley W. Coyote.

EXIT QUESTION: 5 times worse than Jimmy carter, does that mean the 2012 landslide will be 5 x’s worse as well? One can only hope.

NFL Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning Has Second Neck Surgery … Out 2-3 Months, the Season?

PEYTON MANNING HAS SECOND NECK SURGERY …

What a blow to the Indianapolis Colts, their fans and frankly the NFL in general on the eve of this weekends opening games. Peyton Manning, the all everything QB for the Colts has had a second neck surgery and will be out most likely at least two to three month. It is said that he had a cervical fusion following his previous surgery, the surgery is being called a single level anterior fusion. There is probably no team in the NFL that is more dependent on one player than the Colts are on Manning. There is no time table set for Manning’s return, some have reported that he will miss a chunk of the season; however, one has to wonder whether this might be for the season.

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning had further neck surgery Thursday, the team announced, his third surgery in the past 19 months.

Manning decided to have the surgery after consultation with a half-dozen doctors who reached a consensus that the most viable option would be a one-level cervical neck fusion in the wake of his May 23 surgery to repair a bulging disk. It’s unclear whether Manning would be able to return to play this season.

Owner Jim Irsay had tweeted prior to the news getting out of the surgery that Peyton was out of this weekends game and would be out awhile. Now we know what the Colts owner meant. We do wish Peyton Manning a speedy recovery, the NFL and their fans lose when some one with this kind of talent is forced from the game.

Hmmm Solyndragate … FBI RAIDS SOLYNDRA, the Barack Obama Backed & Funded Green Energy Failure

Things that make you go Hmmm … Should we call this Solyndragate or Greengate?

The FBI raided the headquarters if Solyndra, a green energy company that was given more than $500,000 in federal stimulus funds  and was praised by President Barack Obama as a leading green company of the future saying, “It’s here that companies like Solyndra are leading the way toward a brighter and more prosperous future”. Oops, once again Obama was horribly wrong as just last week Solyndra filed for bankruptcy. This could get dicey for Barack Obama as the Gateway Pundit opines, top Obama bundler George Kaiser, a principle investor in Solyndra, made multiple visits to the White House in the months before the company was granted a $535 million loan from the government.

FBI agents served search warrants this morning at Solyndra, the Fremont solar company that abruptly closed last week, two years after receiving more than $500 million in federal stimulus money, an agency official said.

The search is part of a joint investigation involving the FBI and the Department of Energy’s Office of Inspector General, said FBI spokeswoman Julianne Sohn, who declined to elaborate.

SOLYNDRA-Gate

Wasn’t it just last week that famed predictor Alan Lichman said that Obama would win in 2012, one of the reasons he gained points was that there was no scandals in his Administration. SM pointed out the “Fast & Furious” scandal and I guess we might be able to add Solyndra into that category as well. As stated at Powerline, they refer to it as
the Solyndra bankruptcy was the green energy equivalent of Charles Keating/Lincoln Savings collapse in the S & L debacle of 20 years ago.

What do Obama know and when did he know it? What of those 20 visits by Solyndra execs to the White House. Hmm, quid pro quo?

Solyndra is a microcosm of Barack Obama and the economy. He plays favorites with companies and pushes his radical green agenda praising companies as the future … which ultimately go belly up and are raided by the FBI.  Talk about the un-Midas touch.  Do you think that Obama has learned his lesson that the government cannot prop up green energy technology and call it a success when its a failure? No, the NRO has more of Obama’s obsession with green jobs at all cost and be damned if they are sustainable or not. This is why this President is a failure … he lives in a different reality, one where success is not necessary.

Will this story have legs and how will the public perceive Barack Obama now that the FBI raid of Solybdra follows the “Fast & Furious” scandal? The squeaky clean image of Obama may now be tarnished as well.

Barack Obama’s Attorney General Eric Holder Plays Sargent Schultz … Claims He Knows Nothing About “Fast & Furious”

Attorney General Eric Holder does his best Hogan’s Heroes Sargent Schultz imitation … he knows nothing about the “Fast & Furious” operation. Let’s have a show of hands, who really believes that Holder is telling the truth? The real question probably is whether knowledge of the “Fast & Furious” gunrunning program to Mexican drug cartels goes high than Holder into the Executive Branch, hint, that would be Barack Obama.

The head of the U.S. Justice Department launched his strongest personal defense yet in the growing furor over Operation Fast and Furious, the controversial sting targeting Mexican drug cartels and American gunrunners.

On Wednesday, Attorney General Eric Holder said for the first time that not only he but also other higher-ups at the Justice Department were not aware of the operation as it was being carried out. Holder also suggested politics could be a driving force behind Republican lawmakers’ forceful inquiries into the matter.

“The notion that somehow or other this thing reaches into the upper levels of the Justice Department is something that. . . . I don’t think is supported by the facts,” Holder told reporters at an unrelated press conference in Washington. “It’s kind of something I think certain members of Congress would like to see, the notion that somehow or other high-level people in the department were involved. As I said, I don’t think that is going to be shown to be the case — which doesn’t mean that the mistakes were not serious.”

A spokeswoman for the Republican leading a congressional investigation described Holder’s comments as baseless “whining,” and earlier Wednesday the House Republican himself said the issue is about more than who knew what, when.

Somebody get the the bottom of “Fast & Furious” as to who knew what, where and when. When you have an incompetent gunrunning scheme hatched to some how track guns back to drug cartel killers that in turn kills an American border agent … in the immortal words of Humphrey Bogart, “someone is going to have to take the fall”. Could you imagine how Democrats and the MSM would be reacting if this happened during a GOP Presidency.

New Jobless Claims Rise Again to 414,000 Prior To Barack Obama’s Big Jobs Speech

Ahead of President Barack Obama’s big jobs speech tonight in front of a joint session of Congress, new jobless claims rose again last week to 414,000.  The so-called experts called it unexpected, why? Why should anyone think what Obama has put forth as an economic plan would create jobs? Obama has failed miserably and is quick to blame every one else except looking in the mirror.

New U.S. jobless claims rose unexpectedly last week, further evidence of a weak labor market just hours before President Barack Obama delivers a major address to Congress on the issue.

Applications for unemployment benefits rose to 414,000 in the week ending September 3 from an upwardly revised 412,000 the prior week, the Labor Department said on Thursday. Wall Street analysts had been looking for a dip to 405,000.

Obama’s speech tonight has nothing to do with the economy, its a tax payer paid for campaign infomercial.  Nothing more. One thing is for certain, to be on such a stage, Obama better have specifics and not promises to pay for government spending down the road.

So what new ideas will Obama deliver to the American people tonight? Of course the question is will they be watching Obama or Packers-Saints pregame? The White has leaked some of the speech and it sounds like more of the same failed Obama economic policies that has done nothing for the US economy. Oh wait, here is Obama’s new economic policy … BLAME CONGRESS. Barack “I take no responsibility for anything” Obama unless its killing Bin Laden will use tonight’s joint session of Congress as a blame game. Please tell me that Democrats are not going to stand and cheer when Obama makes some idiotic sound bite. Word has it that Obama’s jobs plan will cost $400 billion … call it Son of Stimulus.

There is a reason why Obama has terrible job approval on the economy, he has earned it. It is not others fault, it is his to own and frankly Americans have grown tired of his and his minions whining and excuses.

This President either does not understand that private sector jobs are need, not fabricated government ones, or he just does not care. Let’s face it, the only way the economy is going to turn around is if Obama embraces GOP ideas on creating a more user friendly environment for business. However, Hell would freeze over before that happens.  2012 is right around the corner and Obama is starring at 9+% unemployment and a mere 18% think the country is headed in the right direction.  This is a direct reflection on Obama and his policies; however, what will Barack Obama say tonight … just more blame. if you do not accept and implement his failed policies, you are to blame for an already terrible economy. That’s the Obama way.

UPDATE I: Obama’s jobs plan is reported to cost another $400 billion. Are you kidding? Obama says it will be paid for but is not going to provide details, he will give another speech for that. Doesn’t this sound an awful lot like, Nancy Pelosi’s we have to pass the bill to see whats in it. Not only do we say no, but HELL NO!!!
