An AMBER ALERT has been issued by the Pennsylvania State Police for 9 year old Skylar Kauffman who is missing in Souderton, PA. Skylar Kauffman was last seen playing with friends at about 5:30 pm Monday around an apartment complex near the Hillside Cemetery at 2nd and Chestnut Streets in Souderton borough in Montgomery County, PA. She is believed to have been abducted from the parking lot.

NBC Poll: Barack Obama’s Approval Rating on Economy Hits New Low of 37%

What a “gutsy” 37% approval rating on the economy …

Barack Obama Bin Laden bump? Not when the economy is in the crapper. Obama will continue to “Wag the Bin Laden” as The One’s approval ratings for the economy have truly hit the skids. According to a recent NBC poll, only 37% approve of the president’s handling of the economy, while 58 percent disapprove. Read the full poll here (.pdf). Let’s see the LEFT call this poll a right-wing one.

The survey shows a mixed picture for Obama, whose overall job-approval rating was bumped higher by a modest three points after the al-Qaida leader’s death was announced late Sunday.

What has changed for the president since the raid at bin Laden’s compound: The number of respondents seeing Obama as a strong leader and a good commander in chief has spiked, and public opinion for his handling of the war in Afghanistan jumped to an all-time high.

But here’s what hasn’t changed: Just a third of Americans believe the country is headed in the right direction; less than four in 10 approve of Obama’s handling of the U.S. economy; and nearly 70 percent think the economy will get worse or stay the same in the next year.

Obama can pretend all he wants that he is “gutsy” and some type of decisive leader. Even a broken clock tells the time correctly twice a day. However, Obama will not be judged in 2012 of his “overseas contingency operation”, it will be done so on how many people are employed,  can afford gas and even still have their home.  As Weasel  Zippers reminds Barack Obama, “ITS THE ECONOMY, STUPID”. Good luck getting reelected with a 37% job approval on the economy.

WAG THE BIN LADEN …

Is it any wonder why President Barack Obama continues to spike the football and take credit for the killing of Osama Bin Laden? It was an important mark in the war on terror; however, just like Obama’s minions stated that it took a mosaic of intel to get Bin Laden, the issues that face Americas is also a mosaic of bad economic news.  AMERICA WAKE UP, DO NOT BE DISTRACTED!!! While Obama takes credit for the death of Bin Laden, the US economy is falling apart. So much for the home market recovering, home values fell 3% in the first quarter.

Home values fell 3% in the first quarter from the previous quarter and 1.1% in March from the previous month, pushed down by an abundance of foreclosed homes on the market, according to data to be released Monday by real-estate website Zillow.com. Prices have now fallen for 57 consecutive months, according to Zillow.

The governments continued meddling with the housing market has caused the housing markets to flounder. As stated by the NRO, “programs, like Cash for Clunkers, do little more than rearrange the deck chairs on a sinking ship. They advance home sales but don’t create new demand, so the effects are economically unsustainable.”  Thanks Barack, 28% of home owners are now underwater. Elevated gas prices, increased food prices, an unemployment rate up to 9.0%, an anemic 1.8% GDP in the first quarter and now home prices fall. Obama’s handling of the US economy has been pathetic at best.

Ten days ago, the Commerce Department released the latest evaluation of American economic growth, which came in at a paltry 1.8%, a steep drop from the unspectacular 3.1% in the fourth quarter of last year. By the time the weekend ended, that news got understandably swamped out by the successful military operation that killed Osama bin Laden.  But even from Rome, I was surprised by the lack of attention that it drew before Sunday night, especially since the media showered the White House with favorable coverage of the previous quarter’s results.

Casey Anthony Murder Trial of Caylee Anthony Begins Today … Jury Selection in Pinellas County, FL

The best kept secret in Florida is over …

The Casey Anthony murder case begins today Monday, May 9, 2011 in the death of Caylee Anthony. The jury selection begins today and the winner is … Pinellas County, FL near Tampa. Now the search begins for 12 jurors and 8 alternates who will be selected is decide whether Casey Anthony is guilty of killing her daughter Caylee Anthony.

Court officials in Orlando didn’t announce the location of jury selection in Pinellas County until early Monday because of intense media interest in the case of the young woman accused of killing her daughter Caylee. More than 600 media credentials have been requested for the trial.

Update I: As the first day of jury selection begins, Judge Perry reads to Casey the charges against her. It appears as Casey may now realize she’s “going down”, she cried when Perry read the charges.

Former VP Dick Cheney Says, “it’s an “outrage” the Obama administration continues to investigate CIA agents who interrogated terror suspects”

IT’S AN OUTRAGE …

Former Vice President Dick Cheney went on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace to discuss the killing of Osama Bin Laden and the continued investigations into CIA agents by the Obama Administration’s AG Eric Holder.  Talk about a mixed message and having your cake and eating it to on the part of Barack Obama. As he takes credit for the killing of Bin Laden, he also is having his administration investigate the very individuals who gathered the intelligence. Dick Cheney did provide profs to Obama; however, he also said that the justice probe of CIA agents was an “OUTRAGE”.

Cheney noted there was a “complete investigation” during the Bush administration that concluded the agents had not violated the law. He said the decision by Holder to reopen that case and hand it over to a special prosecutor sets a “terrible precedent.”

“These are government employees. They did nothing wrong, as best as any of us knows,” Cheney told “Fox News Sunday.” “It is an outrage that we would go after the people who deserve the credit for keeping us safe for seven and a half years.”

Former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld also said Sunday that the Obama administration should set the CIA probe “aside” and move on, calling it a “most unfortunate thing.”

“These people were operating at the direction of the president. They were doing things that had been approved by the Department of Justice,” Rumsfeld said on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” “And it sends a chill throughout the government.”

The Lonely Conservative reminds us that this is not the first time that the Obama Administration has gone after heroes.Let us not forget when they went after Navy Seals for abusing terrorist.

Oh, and remember when they prosecuted Navy SEALS for “abusing” terrorists? The case fell apart, they were just trying to make examples of them. Now they bask in the glory brought to them by the Navy SEALS.

Which further goes to the questions that Chris Wallace would later ask Obama’s WH Security adviser Tom Donilon that shooting a terrorist in the head was consistent with US values but some how waterboarding wasn’t. I guess the same question can be asked as to Navy Seals being prosecuted for abusing terrorist. They can kill them but not abuse them, really?

NBA Classless Thugs: LA LAKERS Get Swept From the Playoffs By Dallas Mavericks (VIDEO)

Los Angeles Lakers Bloods … The Lakers used to be ‘Showtime,” today they were “THUG LIFE”.

Los Angeles Lakers embarrassed themselves today in their loss to the Dallas Mavericks 122 – 86 and were swept out of the NBA playoffs. However, the embarrassment was not because they lost by 36 points in what was Lakers coach Phil Jackson’s last game, it was the thug, bush league play by the Lakers in the 4th quarter.

First the Lakers did this … as playing with any dignity was lost in the process of LA being beat by the Maverick’s bench. So much for losing like a champion.

And then it got worse … as the Lakers decided that trying to injure another was more important than just losing with class.

While getting beat by 30+ points, the Lakers could not lose as champions, they lost like street gang thugs. First Lamar Odom was tossed from the game due to a flagrant foul against the Maverick’s Dirk Nowitzki. Then to make matters even worse, Laker’s Andrew Bynum inexplicably forearmed and shoved Maverick guard J.J Barea to the court as he was attempting a layup. Bynum was thrown out of the game as well. It was summed up by Laker, Hall of Fame Great Magic Johnson, the Lakers embarrassed the organization by getting blown out and classless acts.

As reported by the Orlando Sentinel,  Jose Baez, the defense attorney for Casey Anthony in the death of her daughter Caylee Anthony, stated that he will not be defined by this case. Really? Looks like Baez is going into the case with a lack of comprehension and enormity of the case. Any one who thinks that the Casey/Caylee Anthony murder case is doing going to define Baez’s career, must also think that the trunk that smelled like a dead body was in it, really does think it was a pizza.

Hypocrisy: WH Security Adviser Tom Donilon Cannot Explain the Difference Between Waterboarding & Shooting Bin Laden in the Eye

Once again the Barack Obama White House is having a communication issue … they cannot explain to the American people how “waterboarding” a terrorist is worse that shooting a terrorist in the head. The obvious answer is, it is not. The Obama administration knows it has a problem when they just can’t answer a simple question.

Watch the VIDEO below courtesy of the Gateway Pundit of White House Security adviser Tom Donilon on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace twist and squirm as he cannot answer the question. The question is simple, how is extreme interrogation and waterbaording of KSM different from shooting Bin Laden in the head?

Tom Donilon stated that waterbaording of Khalid Sheikh Mohammad is not consistent with our values and not necessary to get the kinds of intelligence that we need. This was followed with a question by Chris Wallace, but shooting Bin Laden in the head is consistent with our values? Donilon’s response, we are at war with Osama Bin Laden. Um, as if we are not also at war with KSM?

President Barack Obama gets a gold star for giving the ok on the mission that killed Osama Bin laden; however, the bigger picture and long term issue that has come from the killing of Bin Laden is that Obama and his minions cannot say it is consistent with American values to shoot a terrorist in the head, yet say it is not to interrogate terrorist by any means available. Especially when so many have stated that waterboarding played a role in garnering intel in the “mosaic” the captured and killed Osama Bin Laden. Any thinking and common sense person, ie the American voters, can see that waterboarding was vindicated and played a part in killing Bin Laden and that Obama was wrong.

UPDATE I: Of course Tom Donilon was provided a much more softball interview an ABC’s ‘This Week’ with Christiane Amanpour. Donilon stated that the killing of bin Laden also led to the single largest cache of information ever recovered from a senior terrorist. Of course that treasure trove was also gained in part from extreme interrogation methods, i.e. waterboarding. Of course that part was left out of this interview. Or at least referenced in a negative tone.

Donilon stated that no single piece of intel lead to the capture and killing of Bin Lade, it was 100′s. Except for the fact that many of the ones that came after were a result of the initial intelligence and hard work of CIA analysts. Sorry, but like with any investigation, it had to start somewhere and the nickname of the courier is as good as any.
