Center for Immigration Studies: 70% of Illegal Immigrants Receive Welfare Assistance

Think its only the cost of a tomato that is affected by illegal immigrants?

A report released this week by the Center for Immigration Studies shows that 70% of illegal immigrants receive welfare assistance. Wonderful. The United States struggles with being able to afford welfare assistance for those in the US legally, do we really need to be paying for those here illegally? The US is in a financial crisis, the Medicaid program is a disaster, yet the powers that be just pretend like nothing is going on.

Thirteen years after Congress overhauled the American welfare system, 57 percent of immigrants with children — those in the country legally or not — use at least one government, welfare program according to a report released Tuesday by the Center for Immigration Studies.

In comparison, 39 percent of native-born Americans with children are signed up for welfare, the report found.

In Texas, 54 percent of legal immigrants and 70 percent of illegal immigrants receive welfare assistance, with illegal immigrants generally receiving benefits on behalf of their U.S.-born children, according to the study, written by a think tank that favors reducing immigration into the U.S.

Does any one really blame an “illegal” coming to the US for a free ride? Who wouldn’t leave their horrible situation in order to find a gravy train in the US that they can exploit. The problem is not the illegals, the problem is the fact that there are no responsible politicians in Washington DC to stop the flow of illegals into the United States. This is not a matter of making these people citizens, it is a matter of restricting their entrance into the United States and taking away their welfare assistance. Stop the reward and folks will think twice about crossing the border.

The illegal immigration issue is yet just another example of how “ALL” politicians have failed “WE THE POEPLE”.

WILDERNESS LAWS STOP US BORDER AGENTS FROM PATROLLING REAL BORDER

      http://oneoldvet.com/?p=27849

Having State legislators in Arizona, Georgia, Florida and other caring States, actually worry about Americans without jobs? Yet businesses still cold-shoulder immigration laws and keep hiring aliens. The paramount issue is still the porous border and some cases, still open ranges. While the indifferent federal governments have completely failed the citizens and residents for thirty years, the illegal immigration population has reached over 20 million plus and with no ending. Our school system is a mess, the health care emergency rooms overrun and billions of dollars being drained from the State and Federal treasuries, to pacify the open border overwrought activists like Rep. Luis Gutierrez, an Illinois Democrat.

Illegal Immigration has become a tightening garrote on American society and although the politicians try as they might to hide its severe financial impact, it’s not going away. Yesterday was an eye opener on this nemesis called the Southwest border, which remains uncompleted, underfunded, and does not in any way stop the influx of dangerous drug cartels or people smugglers. The program on C-Span 1 was relating to a broadcast about the US Border Patrol operations on Federal land.

Listening to the intensity of the arguments going on, between a Border Patrol supervisor, a public lands official and one other spokesman, recognizing that the Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano was hiding the real truth and her slimy excuse that the border was more secure? The National Parks, Forests and Public Lands Subcommittee Chairman Rob Bishop (R-UT) introduced the National Security and Federal Lands Protection Act (H.R. 1505); a Potential law. According to Bishop, “This legislation takes the obligatory and responsible steps to address the deplorable restrictions that prevent Border Security agents from doing their jobs. Allowing public land managers and preventive environmental policies, not Border Security experts, that are dictating how we secure our nation’s borders to keep our country defended.

It contradicts our enforcement and as a result, has jeopardized the safety and security of all Americans.” But it wasn’t the finger pointing by the Congressman, but the witnesses who appeared next. The main spotlight fell on a Stetson headed elderly rancher whose name was Jim Chilton, Jr, who owned the Chilton Ranch for 5 generations in Arivaca, Arizona. He addressed the committee in his Testimony http://tinyurl.com/3o3u8rj that he had drafted, with the assistance of Robert Krantz wife, murdered on his ranch back in 2010. Mr. Chilton, a fifth generation rancher read from his drafted memo, that his home had been burglarized twice, that his neighbors lived in fear as the areas where overrun by druggers, as he called them.

If you make it attractive, they will come. Both legal and illegal.

Where else in this hemisphere are the poorly educated so well taken care of by social programs?

The report referenced is an eye opener. We can blame most of our economic problems on our federal politicians who have never done anything in the real world.

Government produces zero wealth. It only takes from those who do produce and gives it recklessly to those who do not, all in the name of “Vote for me and I will take care of you”.

I feel it is extremely difficult for any one President & Immigration to make a decision on> a illegal that has American born children. Even though a small child does not know or understand that is taking their civil right as a natural born citizen of the US not have their parents living with them mainly when they are minors even as adults, that is a guarantee when one naturalizes as a American to have your parents, children & spouse to join you in this country> it’s as if you are dam if you do and dam if you don’t. However when living in this country illegally and commit crimes and try to change the laws as they’re homelands now that can not and will not happen and many try .I would also like to comment on what so many US citizens believe > illegals get free medical help, food stamps, and cash the whole welfare thing > all of you are very misguided you have to have a resident card (green card) for approximately 5 yrs. or become a US citizen before the government will assist in aid and thats a fact ! About them coming in taking employment ,I do not believe that they (the illegals)take the jobs from US citizens,I do believe they take the jobs that citizens are not willing to do,think about it why is there a job opening waiting to be filled, many citizens that do not have good education or very little want to be over paid for these jobs the illegals are filling in.US citizens they’re selves turn to government aid instead of filling the low paying job the illegal will gladly take. In no way Im I taking illegal immigration as a way out for illegals ,we have to look at it in a different strategy and find a way that will and can distinguish this issue that has been a major problem for this country for so long and stop pointing the finger and putting the blame on who ever > illegal status in the USA needs to stop and thats the bottom line!
