More Obama Hope & Change: Wholesale Prices Up 1.6% … Biggest Jump in Food Costs in 36 Years
Barack Obama, the new Jimmy Carter and welcome to America’s misery index …
No wonder Barack Obama is playing golf and filling out NCAA College Basketball brackets, wholesale prices up 1.6% as food prices rose 3.9% last month, the biggest gain since November 1974. We have an economy that continually is in the dumper, and unemployment rate that is understated from what it really is, gas prices on the rise and a national debt that continues to grow out of control. And the hits keep on coming for Barack Obama.
Wholesale prices jumped last month by the most in nearly two years due to higher energy costs and the steepest rise in food prices in 36 years. Excluding those volatile categories, inflation was tame.
The Labor Department said Wednesday that the Producer Price Index rose a seasonally adjusted 1.6 percent in February — double the 0.8 percent rise in the previous month. Outside of food and energy costs, the core index ticked up 0.2 percent, less than January’s 0.5 percent rise.
Food prices soared 3.9 percent last month, the biggest gain since November 1974.
Then comes the unbelievable, the complete disconnect from real Americans and reality. In an effort to tell folks that not all prices have increased, New York Fed President William Dudley is reminded that … ‘I Can’t Eat an iPad’.
The former Goldman Sachs chief economist gave a speech explaining the economy’s progress and the Fed’s successes, but come question time the main thing the crowd wanted to know was why they’re paying so much more for food and gas. Keep in mind the Fed doesn’t think food and gas prices matter to its policy calculations because they aren’t part of “core” inflation.
So Mr. Dudley tried to explain that other prices are falling. “Today you can buy an iPad 2 that costs the same as an iPad 1 that is twice as powerful,” he said. “You have to look at the prices of all things.”
Reuters reports that this “prompted guffaws and widespread murmuring from the audience,” with someone quipping, “I can’t eat an iPad.” Another attendee asked, “When was the last time, sir, that you went grocery shopping?”

As the World Burns … President Barack Obama Fills Out his NCAA Basketball Brackets
As Rome burns, Nero played the violen, the World burns and is in chaos, President Barack Obama managed to take time and do the most important task of the day … fill out his NCAA Mens College Basketball March Madness brackets. Good grief. Far be it from this President actually acting Presidential and getting down to the hard issues of the day like the Middle East in chaos, Japan trying to recover from a massive earthquake and tsunami and trying to prevent a nuclear disaster, the US economy is disarray, Americans still unemployed and gas heading to $4 per gallon. Nope, Obama is lost in smallness and makes sure that he fills out his brackets. How’s that “Hope & Change” treating you America?
The Middle East is afire with rebellion, Japan is imploding from an earthquake, and the battle of the budget is on in the United States, but none of this seems to be deterring President Obama from a heavy schedule of childish distractions.
This morning, as Japan’s nuclear crisis enters a potentially catastrophic phase, we are told that Obama is videotaping his NCAA tournament picks and that we’ll be able to tune into ESPN Wednesday to find out who he likes.
Saturday, he made his 61st outing to the golf course as president, and got back to the White House with just enough time for a quick shower before heading out to party with Washington’s elite journalists at the annual Gridiron Dinner.
As stated by Weasel Zippers, in a word … PRIORITIES!
Remember when Obama was billed as a different kind of President and and “Outside the beltway” one. All one has to do is look at the fact that Obama picked all four #1 seeds in his brackets to see that was a lie as well. This supposed deep thinking and intellectual president went status quo and went out on a limb and went with Ohio St, Pitt, Duke and Kansas in the Final Four. Wow, Mr. President, Dare to Dream.
Some one has to say it, WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THIS PRESIDENT! Remember when US President used to lead? Obama seems to be incapable. In crisis the world looks to the US for leadership and Obama is filling out March Madness brackets. Can 2012 come fast enough?

Caylee/Casey Anthony Case: Bug Blunders And Botany Bias Benefit The Prosecution
Last week, under a due date requirement required by Chief Justice Perry, some of the expert opinions to be offered in the capital murder trial against Casey Marie Anthony were released.
In a highly circumstantial case, it is common for the silent witnesses to be the ones who tell us the critical pieces to the puzzle we are working on, are under the chair.
Bugs and Plants do not lie.

TIME Magazines New Obama Civility … “DEAD MAN WALKER”
UNBELIEVABLE, THEIR HYPOCRISY KNOWS NO BOUND …
Take a look at one of Time magazine latest articles regarding the battle in Wisconsin between Republican Gov. Walker and the unions, ‘Wisconsin’s Governor Wins But Is He Still Dead Man Walker’? Because this is completely appropriate.
Um, “Dead Man Walker”, a play on dead man walking. Exactly how does this play with President Obama’s call for civility following the shooting in Tuscon, AZ? Can any one imagine the out cry and calls for heads to roll if the conservative media made such a comment? Libs had complained about bulls-eyes and targets, yet “DEAD MAN WALKER” is perfectly ok. Yup, no double standard or hypocrisy here.
The state capitol of Wisconsin had taken on an eerie quiet on Friday. Gone were the throngs of protesters who occupied its marble floors like a campground in summer. The midnight honking of cars circling the white building had ceased. The chalk “dead man” outlines etched with Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker’s name on the sidewalks remained in dismembered parts, incompletely washed away by clean-up hoses.
Who thinks this is appropriate?

Canadian ‘Baby Joseph’ Gets Second Chance at Life in US Thanks to’ Priests For Life’
Finally some good news …
Fr. Frank, Baby Joseph & Joseph’s father, Moe (Courtesy of Priests for Life.org)
The Canadian baby that has become known as “Baby Joseph” has got a second chance at life in the United States thanks to the organization “Priests for Life”. Thirteen month old Joseph Maraachli had been given up on by Canadian socialized medicine as the medical board overseeing “Baby Joseph’s” case was apparently convinced that giving him proper care was futile. Baby Joseph was close to being pulled off life support; however, “Priests for Life” stepped in and has provided a second chance for life.
Thirteen-month-old Joseph Maraachli, who is currently kept alive by a respirator and was recently denied a transfer to a Michigan hospital to undergo a tracheotomy, arrived in the U.S. early Monday morning with Fr. Frank Pavone and other Priests for Life staff.
“Priests for Life staff toiled through the night for many nights, working in concert with dozens of people to make this possible,” Father Pavone said in a statement. “Now that we have won the battle against the medical bureaucracy in Canada, the real work of saving Baby Joseph can begin.”
Watch the Video of Fr. Frank Pavone om FOX News discussing the case of Baby Joseph. Thankfully, he won. Much more at the Priests for Life website, Father Frank Pavone of Priests for Life Leads Covert Mission to Rescue Baby Joseph.
Baby Joseph and his father, Moe Maraachli, were flown with Father Pavone to SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center in St. Louis, Mo., on a specially equipped air ambulance provided by Michigan-based Kalitta Charters, and sponsored and paid for by the New York City-based Priests for Life.
“If there is a chance this boy can live, we have to explore every option,” said Father Pavone, who was to arrive back home in New York earlier today after weekend speaking engagements in Cleveland. Instead, he flew to Detroit and then on to Canada, vowing not to leave the country until he had Baby Joseph and his father with him.
As stated by the Jawa Report, socialized medicine lost..for now.
