Arab League Criticizes Allied Air & Missile Strikes on Libya … Obama, Welcome to the Fickle Middle East
That did not take long, the Arab League is already criticizing the missile attack on Libya.
President Barack Obama just learned a “Middle East” lesson when it comes to dipping your toe into the Arab League waters. You are damned if you do and damned if you don’t. The criticism came less than 24 hours after international forces attacked Khadafi military forces to create a “no fly zone.” This after the Arab League begged for a no fly zone. What a shock, after drawing the world into a civil war conflict, the Arab League now says, ”the military operations have gone beyond what the Arab League backed”.
Amr Moussa says the military operations have gone beyond what the Arab League backed.
Moussa has told reporters Sunday that “what happened differs from the no-fly zone objectives.” He says “what we want is civilians’ protection not shelling more civilians.”
By the way, the Obama White House has billed this as an international military action; however, as AOL News points out, no Arab nation participated in Saturday’s military intervention and none are publicly supporting it.

Three more journalist are missing in Libya.
According to reports, two Agence France-Presse journalists journalists, Dave Clark and Roberto Schmidt, and one Getty Images journalist, Joe Raedle have been missing since Saturday morning in Libya while working in the eastern Tobruk region. The journalists were supposed to meet with opponents of Libyan leader Moammar Kadafi. They have not been heard from since sending their editors an email Friday night informing that they would be meeting with rebels.
AFP reporter Dave Clark and photographer Roberto Schmidt had informed the agency in an e-mail Friday night that they planned to meet opponents of Libyan leader Moammar Kadafi and speak with refugees fleeing the fighting between rebels and loyalists. They were accompanied by Joe Raedle of Getty Images, the agency said.
The journalists have not been heard from since they sent the e-mail, AFP said.
Libyan authorities are believed to be holding a number of other journalists detained while covering the uprising. They include four New York Times journalists who went missing while covering the fighting in the east last week.
Were these journalists detained by Kadafi forces. Many journalists have been detained by pro-Kadafi forces while covering the uprising in Libya. They include four New York Times journalists who went missing while covering the fighting last week and on Saturday, Al Jazeera TV said that four of its journalists, (Kamel Atalua, Ammar al-Hamdan, Lotfi al-Messaoudi and Ahmed Vall Ould Addin) including a Norwegian, a Briton, a Tunisian and a Mauritanian, were being held in Tripoli.
UPDATE I: 3 missing Western journalists apparently held by Libyan army
Three Western journalists who went missing in Libya last week were arrested at gunpoint by soldiers loyal to Moammar Gadhafi, Agence France-Presse said Monday.
Citing a driver who was traveling with them, AFP said the journalists ran into a military convoy about 7 miles (12 kilometers) outside the eastern city of Ajdabiya on Saturday. They were ordered to kneel on the side of the road with their hands on their heads, the driver, Mohammed Hamed, told AFP
Obama Being Ripped by the LEFT, Michael Moore & Louis Farrakhan for Military Action Against Libya
Is Barack Obama trying to become a wartime GWB President?
One had to wonder what the far LEFT’s reaction would be to their President becoming a military initiating President. Barack Obama was the same person who as a candidate stated he would get the US out of war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Now Obama has implicated the US in a new military action in Libya. Is the LEFT going to call this Obama’s war for oil?
Pic Hat Tip: AWD
It did not take long after the 100′s of tomahawk missiles were shot into Libya for anti-war film maker and Leftist Michael Moore to rip Obama a new one. As reported at The Hill, Moore unleashed a string on tweets comparing the U.S. military’s mission in Libya to Iraq and Afghanistan. Don Suber has much more reaction of the LEFT of Obama’s imperialism and illegal war.
It’s only cause we’re defending the Libyan people from a tyrant! That’s why we bombed the Saudis last wk! Hahaha. Pentagon=comedy
And we always follow the French’s lead! Next thing you know, we’ll have free health care & free college! Yay war!
We’ve had a “no-fly zone” over Afghanistan for over 9 yrs. How’s that going? #WINNING !
Khadaffymust’ve planned 9/11! #excuses
Khadaffymust’ve had WMD! #excusesthatwork
Khadaffymust’ve threatened to kill somebody’s daddy! #daddywantedjeb
I will give Michael Moore credit, where credit is due … at least Moore is not being a hypocrit. Did I just say that? Moore’ss tirade against Obama and also stating that Obama should return his 2009 Nobel Peace prize.

Joe Biden Says, “I don’t deserve’ Amtrak station honor” … Actually It’s a Perfect Honor
Joe Biden … a fitting honor and loads of irony.
Earlier this week it was reported that VP Joe Biden was going to have the honor bestowed upon him of having the Wilmington, DE Amtrak train station renamed after him. But wait, Joe Biden is being humble and states that he does not deserve the Amtrak station honor. Come on Joe, say it ain’t so, of course you do.
Are you joking, as aptly stated at the Jawa Report, if there is anyone who ever deserved an Amtrak railway station named after them it would be Biden ”just for riding the dag nabbed thing for 36 years” … and commuting 200+ miles a day so he can see his kids.
However, Biden should not only have his name attached to Amtrak train station just for the fact that he is a constant passenger, it should also be so for the more important facts like Amtrak costing tax payers in subsidies. How ironic that this very Amtrak train station received stimulus money and came in $5.3 million over budget. However, that irony was outdone when the Amtrak CEO had to arrive by car to the ribbon cutting ceremony because the train broke down he was taking to attend the event … you just can’t make this stuff up. Update, so sorry, the Amtrak train was delayed and the CEO got off the train and used a car to make the ceremony on time. Further proving the point as to why Amtrack is not a timely means of transportation when even the CEO abaondons t
Naturally this particular station came in $5.3 million over budget. That, however, was a small price to pay to add another piece to the puzzle of cost-effective reliable mass transit, as those in attendance at the ribbon cutting would find out as soon as the Amtrak CEO got there… by car. The train on which he was going to arrive at the ceremony for the Conductor of America’s Train to the Future broke down.

US Launches Tomahawk Cruise Missiles Against Muammar Gaddafi’s Air Defenses
And so it begins … The Pentagon has dubbed the mission, Operation Odyssey Dawn.
Shock & Awe has began, this time Libya is on the receiving end of the tomahawk missiles. United States and British forces have fired more than 110 Tomahawk cruise missiles into Libya against Muammar Gaddafi’s air defences targeting more than 20 locations. Most of the missiles targeted the coast of Western Libya and extending between Tripoli and Benghazi. There are up to date accounts reported at tyhe UK Telegraph.
A top officer confirmed on Saturday that the missile strikes after President Barack Obama said he had ordered “limited military action” to support a UN resolution backing armed intervention against Gaddafi’s regime.
Admiral William Gortney told reporters that “earlier this afternoon over 110 Tomahawk cruise missiles fired from both US and British ships and submarines struck more than 20 integrated air defence systems and other air defence facilities ashore.”
In the wake of the cruise missile attacks Muammar Gaddafi remained defiant and threatened further attacks against civilians. As reported at CNN, Gadhafi said Libya will fight back against undeserved “naked aggression.”
Libyan leader Muammar al-Qaddafi remains defiant as the U.S. and its allies launched its first attacks against military targets in Libya Saturday.
Qaddafi threatened to attack military and civilian targets in the Mediterranean in retaliation of international coalition strikes on Libya.
UPDATE I: From the NRO, Obama and his minions like Sec. of State Hillary Clinton continue to apologize for the US even in a time of war and going after a crazed terrorist dog like Gaddafi. Why would anyone say that a
CNN’s Ed Henry reports from an administration official that the Pentagon is planning for “heavy, kinetic action” on the part of U.S. forces, lasting “days, not weeks.”
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton seemed to underscore that point:
“We did not lead this. We did not engage in unilateral actions in any way, but we strongly support the international community taking action against governments and leaders who behave as Gaddafi is unfortunately doing,” Clinton said.

24 Year Old English Teacher Taylor Anderson Missing in Japan Following Earthquake and Tsunami (Update: Body of Taylor Anderson Found)
Finding the missing in the middle of a disaster …
“It bears repeating that this is a crisis – there is no question about it. And it is a crisis in Japan. It is not a crisis in the United States.”The above comment was said by Obama’s press secretary as a defense of Obama’s traveling to Rio. I wonder if the American families with missing individuals share our compassionate Presidents same thoughts?
24 year old Virginia native Taylor Anderson is missing in Japan following the massive 8.9 magnitude earthquake and tsunami. Taylor Anderson was teaching English in the city of Ishinomaki on the ocean and the epicenter of the earthquake. According to reports, Taylor Anderson left the elementary school where she teaches on her bike after the earthquake had struck, but before the tsunami came ashore. She has not been heard from since the disaster took place. As reported by CBS News, the family of missing Taylor Anderson was initially told that their daughter had been found safe only to learn that the news was erroneous.
Like so many families of missing persons, Andy and Jean Anderson … ’We just want to find her’.
The Andersons have used the Internet to step up their search for Taylor, have contacted the U.S. Embassy in Japan and local officials, and have been in touch with her friends and colleagues to learn details about her routines, and the routes she would take home since she rotated between eight schools.
24 Year Old English Teacher Taylor Anderson Missing in Japan
Two days ago, just before they appeared on “The Early Show,” the Andersons got what appeared to be wonderful news from Taylor’s teaching program: Taylor had been found. She was safe in a shelter.
But 12 hours later, they learned it had been a mistake — a false rumor from a region where communication is sporadic.
Frustrated by the lost time, but refusing to lose hope, her family got back to work, directing the search from 7,000 miles away.
As Japan continues to deal with the aftermath of the 8.9 magnitude earthquake, tsunami and the nuclear crisis that is ongoing as well as the chaos in Lybya, Barack Obama jetted off to Rio and South America for a 5 day trip, first family in tow. Obama has been criticized for not cancelling the trip; however, White House press secretary made the following comment that the crisis in Japan was a Japanese one, not an America one. Really? One might want to ask the family of Taylor Anderson that same question. I think they and the other American family with people missing might beg to differ.
White House press secretary Jay Carney for several days has fielded reporters’ questions about whether the trip may be called off, given developments in Japan and Libya. He stressed it would go ahead.
“We are leaving on schedule on Friday,” he told a briefing Wednesday.
“It bears repeating that this is a crisis – there is no question about it. And it is a crisis in Japan. It is not a crisis in the United States,” Carney said.
St. Catherine’s School holds prayer vigil for alumna missing in Japan
The prayer service for Anderson included a reading from Romans Chapter 8 — “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” Then students and faculty from the middle and upper schools joined hands for the Lord’s Prayer.
UPDATE I: There is sad news to report in the case of missing school teacher Taylor Anderson. The body of a 24 year old English teacher from Virginia has been discovered. May she rest in peace. Our prayers go out the the family and friends of Taylor Anderson.
Virginia family says body of missing daughter found in Japan.
Taylor Anderson’s family said in a statement that the U.S. Embassy in Japan informed them Monday by telephone of the discovery of their 24-year-old daughter’s body.
“We would like to thank all those whose prayers and support have carried us through this crisis,” Andy and Jean Anderson, of Chesterfield County, said in a statement. “Please continue to pray for all who remain missing and for the people of Japan. We ask that that you respect our privacy during this hard time.”

Andrew Dice Clay Tells Charlie Sheen You Are Not Winning, Get Some (Bleeping) Help
Now I remember why I used to love Andrew Dice Clay …
It started out as a question regarding Gilbert Gottfried who was just recently canned by AFLAC due to his twitter comments he made regarding the Japan earthquake tragedy. However it soon turned to Charlie Sheen and the rest is Dice Man history. The “Dice Man” went on a tirade like only he could and basically told Charleen Sheen .. hey Chuck … Hickory, Dickory Dock … OH!
Andrew Dice Clay went after Charlie Sheen and turned it into a quintessential Dice Man comedy routine which Sheen as the focus. However, what came from the profanity laced commenst that may have set a Guinness Book of World Records for censor beeps was many valid and lucid points from Andrew Dice Clay. Although crude. the Dice Man was spot on … Hey Charlie get some f#&$ing help.
This is a must watch VIDEO (warning, profanity).
Dice man said, maybe this (beep) Charlie Sheen should say something nice abhout all these people in Japan and their families while he has the (beep) attention on him? Dice then said, know what gets me about him, no one has the balls to tell him how (beep)ed up he is.
Then came the “Hey Charlie you think you are winning” part of the video that is a must see … WOW! Do you call it winning that you get your kids taken from you?
GET THE (BEEP) HELP YOU (BEEPING) NEED!
Rudy Giuliani: Obama has Displayed the Worst Presidential Decision Making … “Incapable of Making a Decision”
Rudy calls Obama the “Ditherer” in Chief … Rudy, tell us how you really feel?
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani has weighed in onBarack Obama’s lack of leadership and decision making as President. Giuliani mocked Obama as a stuttering weakling when it comes to Libya. It has become obvious to many that the Community Organizer in Chief has little skills at leading. Rudy Giuliani pounded Obama on his lack of leadership skills and inability to make a clear and timely decision. Rudy has adopted our philosophy that Obama is “lost in smallness”.
What’s going on in Libya? Hey, did you see who I picked in my NCAA brackets?
He mocked Obama’s background as a community organizer, saying it is the wrong kind of experience for a president, adding, “It’s worse than we thought, isn’t it? He really seems like he doesn’t know what he’s doing. “
He accused the president of “dithering” over Libya, and called him “incapable of making a decision.”

The Road Map to How the GOP Regains the US Senate … 10 Targeted Seats
First Read provides a road map that shows a difficult path for Democrats to remain in power in the Senate and a rosier path for Republicans. The GOP just needs a net pickup of 3 seats to gain control in the US Senate and it seems that 8 of the top 10 Democrat Senate seats could flip to the GOP.
1. North Dakota (D): Sen. Kent Conrad’s (D) decision to retire has placed this seat in extreme jeopardy in the “red”state of ND.
2. Nebraska (D): Sen. Ben Nelson (D). Nebraska voters will not forget the ”Cornhusker Kickback” during the health-care debate.
3. Montana (D): Freshman Democrat Jon Tester won narrowly in 2006 in a year that saw the Senate flip from the GOP to the Democrats. However, the political environment has changed significantly since then.
4. Missouri (D): Sen. Claire McCaskill. She can pretend to be a moderate all she wants, the voters, especially independents are not buying.
5. Virginia (D): As Jim Webb (D) retires, we are presented with the hypothetical matchup between former Gov. Tim Kaine and ’06 Senate race loser George Allen.
6. New Mexico (D): Jeff Bingaman’s retirement puts this seat in play, but it could be a tough get for Republicans in a state that swung for Obama in 2008.
7. Nevada (R): Heller’s entrance gave Republicans a much better chance at holding this seat than if John Ensign stayed in the race.
8. Massachusetts (R) : Scott Brown is being targeted by Democrats; however, Brown remains the most popular politician in the state.
9. Florida (D): Can Bill Nelson hang on in the state that elected Rick Scott (R) governor and US Senator Marco Rubeo in 2010?
10. Michigan (D): Will the economy be the Democrats undoing? Will Obama’s campaigning in the state going to be enough to put Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D) over the top even though he has shown a lack of coattails in the past? The GOP did surprising well in the 2010 elections in Michigan, including winning the Governor’s seat.
After Republicans picked up six seats in 2010, Democrats will be hard pressed to maintain a majority following the 2012 elections.
