Barack Obama’s Lack of Consistency on US Foreign Policy & “Kinetic Military Action” Involvement in Libya

Following Obama’s speech the questions still remain … What was our objective, and what is it now?

Last night President Barack Obama went on TV, full speech HERE, to explain to the American people the reason why he has decided to commit American military forces in Libya. However, as many have stated, it would have been a good speech if it had been done weeks ago. Now, it just appears that it was a reaction to public outrage, including many in his own party. His speech was a day late and a dollar short and still … does anyone really know what Obama’s foreign policy is?

Obama stated in his speech, “I refused to wait for the images of slaughter and mass graves before taking action.”Really? How many other places in the world have such occurrences taken place and presently are taking place and Obama does nothing. So what is Obama’s litmus test to do humanitarian “kinetic military actions” in the world? As further stated by the NRO, Obama’s speech was yet again a muddled, murky example of his views that despite his past views of not intervening in Middle East situations, he never once referenced his lack of consulting Congress in this “kinetic military action” WAR on Libya.

The Gateway Pundit reminds us of the many other times that Obama felt it no need to intervene in the affairs of other countries. Of course that was different, then.

This is the same man who once said that genocide was no reason to keep US troops in Iraq.

Obama said the US would continue to go after Al-Qaeda… Even though Al-Qaeda is allied with the opposition in Libya.

Obama forgets to mention how he ignored the protesters in Iran when they were being slaughtered by the regime.

 Hmm, Obama also stated in his speech last night the following regarding his responsibility of keeping the Unites States safe. Wasn’t just the other day that Defense Secretary Gates said on ABC’s ‘This Week’ that “Libya Did Not Pose Threat to U.S., Was Not ‘Vital National Interest’ to Intervene”.

As Commander-in-Chief, I have no greater responsibility than keeping this country safe. And no decision weighs on me more than when to deploy our men and women in uniform. I’ve made it clear that I will never hesitate to use our military swiftly, decisively, and unilaterally when necessary to defend our people, our homeland, our allies and our core interests.

Does anyone think that America has done what it said it would do in Libya? Welsome

Staffers of VP Joe Biden Confined ORLANDO SENTINEL Reporter Scott Powers in Closet During Fund Raiser … Biden Folks Apologize

Nobody puts Baby in a corner … or is it a pool reporter in a closet.

Ealier this week, as reported at the Drudge Report, staffers of Vice President confined Orlando Sentinel reporter Scott Powers in a closet during a fund raiser. It was done to prevent Powers from mingling with high-powered guests gathered for a Democratic fundraiser. So much for Freedom of the Press. Or how about the use of just plain common sense and decency.

Reporter Scott Powers was the designated “pool reporter” for the vice president’s Wednesday visit to the massive Winter Park, Fla., home of developer and philanthropist Alan Ginsburg. The veep hadn’t arrived yet but most of the 150 guests (minimum $500 donation) had. They were busy noshing on caprese crostini with oven-dried mozzarella and basil, rosemary flatbread with grapes honey and gorgonzola cheese and bacon deviled eggs, before a lunch of grilled chicken Caesar and garden vegetable wraps.

Not so for Powers. A “low-level staffer” put Powers in a storage closet and then stood guard outside the door, Powers told the DRUDGE REPORT. “When I’d stick my head out, they’d say, ‘Not yet. We’ll let you know when you can come out.’”

Now Biden’s folks are apologizing for forcing a reporter to remain in the closet. Isn’t the the transparent administration who wanted to repeal DADT? Seems to be a contradiction when they forced their report to stay in the closet. As stated by the Lonely Conservative … Biden should be providing the apology personally.

“Scott – You have our sincere apologies for the lack of a better hold room today,” wrote Vice President Biden spokeswoman Elizabeth Alexander last Wednesday to Orlando Sentinel reporter Scott Powers.

“Lack of a better hold room” is an interesting way of putting it. In order to keep Powers from mingling with guests at a Democratic fundraiser last Wednesday, Powers was escorted into a storage closet by a Biden staffer.

It would seem that Barack Obama is just as good in dealing with NCAA Basketball Final Four predictions as he is with handling domestic and foreign affairs as President …“Rock Chalk, SHOCK Jayhawk . From the First 4 to the Final 4 … VCU shocks all. How could this have happened? The team that all thought, except if one was an alumni or student at VCU. did not belong in the Big Dance is off to the Final Four. How is this possible … Obama picked the other team, that’s how.

The VCU Rams knocked off the #1 seed Kansas Jayhawks shocking the world and busting completely the “Basketball Prognosticator” in Chief’s NCAA Basketball brackets. VCU defeated Kansas 71-61 and pretty much dominated the #1 seed Jayhawks throughout the entire game. Who would have thought a #11 seed would be punching a ticket to the Men’s Final Four.

Barack Obama picked four #1 seeds at the outset of the Tournament. Of course those vanilla picks were questioned because never has there been a year in recent memory where there has not been a dominant #1 team(s) in the NCAA. If there was ever a year to not pick any #1 seeds it would have been this year, but Obama played it safe and jinxed them all.

Previously Obama’s other picks #1 seed Duke was defeated by Arizona 93-77 , #1 seed Pitt was defeated by Butler 71-70   and #1 seed Ohio St was defeated by Kentucky 62-60.

What is the greatest aspect of this years Final Four, other than Barack Obama is 0-4 in his predisctions? The winner of the Southeast bracket, Butler, will play tyhe winner of the Southwest bracket, VCU, will play each other in the National semi-fimnals. This will guarantee that either #8 seed Butler or #11 VCU will be in the Finals.
