Finally some good news …

The Canadian baby that has become known as “Baby Joseph” has got a second chance at life in the United States thanks to the organization “Priests for Life”. Thirteen month old Joseph Maraachli had been given up on by Canadian socialized medicine as the medical board overseeing “Baby Joseph’s” case was apparently convinced that giving him proper care was futile. Baby Joseph was close to being pulled off life support; however, “Priests for Life” stepped in and has provided a second chance for life.

Thirteen-month-old Joseph Maraachli, who is currently kept alive by a respirator and was recently denied a transfer to a Michigan hospital to undergo a tracheotomy, arrived in the U.S. early Monday morning with Fr. Frank Pavone and other Priests for Life staff.

“Priests for Life staff toiled through the night for many nights, working in concert with dozens of people to make this possible,” Father Pavone said in a statement. “Now that we have won the battle against the medical bureaucracy in Canada, the real work of saving Baby Joseph can begin.”

Watch the Video of Fr. Frank Pavone om FOX News discussing the case of Baby Joseph. Thankfully, he won. Much more at the Priests for Life website, Father Frank Pavone of Priests for Life Leads Covert Mission to Rescue Baby Joseph.

Baby Joseph and his father, Moe Maraachli, were flown with Father Pavone to SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center in St. Louis, Mo., on a specially equipped air ambulance provided by Michigan-based Kalitta Charters, and sponsored and paid for by the New York City-based Priests for Life.

“If there is a chance this boy can live, we have to explore every option,” said Father Pavone, who was to arrive back home in New York earlier today after weekend speaking engagements in Cleveland. Instead, he flew to Detroit and then on to Canada, vowing not to leave the country until he had Baby Joseph and his father with him.

As stated by the Jawa Report, socialized medicine lost..for now.

If Obamacare ever gets fully implemented; these types of things will no longer happen because our own children will be on life support.

Praise God! God Bless “baby Joseph”, Father Pavone & all those responsible for bringing this child to the USA. Praying that this precious baby will get the care he needs.

      agrees with Michelle.

      @1…sure…..

@3 – I know I am right. Thank you for re-iterating it. I know the health law and what is in it and rationing will become the norm if fully implemented. Like I said, you know nothing about our country (you like to think you do) and the inner-workings and what doctors are planning and talking about in regards to this bill. Geez…there is a reason why 31 states have gone to court to stop this atrocity.

Do yourself a favor…get a clue…and read the over 2,000 page bill before spouting off your dirty un-circumsized mouth!

Joseph Maraachli, keeps making these babies. This is his second child with this condition. Why bring this suffering into this world? He has a genetic problems. That is why the Canadian hospital has gone “no more care route.” Its too much of a burden on the system. Millions of dollars again for a never ending problem. If you love children adopt.

If you knew you had a genetic problem would create a sick and dying child with a short life? The first time I understand. But to do it again! Madness!

and with the show of your reading skills I should take you serious scott?

I never said I knew much about the US, in fact, I don’t most of you do either.

But you learn..I’ve learned that the democrats were once the slavery supporting party and the republicans the oposite.
funny how that role seems the have been reversed.

I found this report’s comment informative, where it said:

The family’s lawyer Claudio Martini noted Sunday’s transfer was not as dramatic as portrayed by Father Pavone and his Priests for Life group, who used the phrase “under the cover of darkness.” The London hospital responded promptly to the family’s discharge request, Mr. Martini said.

Separate from what one thinks of the breathing tube issue, the “rescue” aspect of the story seems over hyped, and not described simply as what actually happened.

Church ppl have to use the cover of darkness.
Fairy tales do the best when its dark.
