Harvey A. Updyke Arrested for Deliberate Poisoning of Historic 130 Year Old Oak Trees at Auburn University’s Toomer’s Corner

Once again we ask, what is wrong with some people? Talk about taking a football rivalry and Roll Tide way too far.

Harvey A. Updyke, a 62 year old Alabama man has been arrested for willfully, purposely, intentionally deliberately and with malice for forethought poisoning the 130 year old historic oak trees at Auburn University’s  Toomer’s Corner. War Eagle fans have long celebrated victories at Toomer’s Corner by “rolling” toilet paper into the trees. Updyke was arrested on one count of first-degree criminal mischief. His bond was set at $50,000. Updyke could face one to 10 years in prison, if convicted. What kind of a putz must one be to do such an act. The thought, get a life comes to mind.

The Auburn Police Division said Thursday that Harvey A. Updyke, of Dadeville, Ala., was arrested and charged with first-degree criminal mischief. Police allege Updyke deliberately poisoned oak trees at Toomer’s Corner with a commonly used herbicide, applied in “lethal amounts” to the soil around the two trees.

The 130-year-old trees likely cannot be saved, officials said.

An individual called into the Paul Finebaum Radio Show (listen to radio comments here)  and stated that the weekend after the Iron Bowl, he went to Auburn, Al and poisoned the Toomer’s trees. Obviously Bama lost to Auburn in this years Iron Bowl in a major way. The man referred to himself as “Al from Dadeville.”  He said he used Spike 80DF,and that the  trees “definitely will die.” The fool then signed off with, “Roll Damn Tide.”

Fans Gather to Roll Toomers; One Last Time?

An Auburn University professor stated that saving the Oaks was highly unlikely. Meanwhile the University of Alabama tried to distance themselves as fast as possible from Updyke stating that he never attended the university nor was a a ticket holder. One really has to wonder whether there will be a retaliation for this crime against Auburn tradition. A word of warning to those in Tuscaloosa, they better put a sentry on the Paul Bear Bryant statue.

Once again US Representative Sheila Jackson Lee provides of with more pearls of wisdom. Lee stated that the Obamacare penalty for not purchasing Obamacare is not really a penalty. The clueless one went on to say that a penalty is a punishment, the Obamacare penalty is instead an incentive. YIKES. So a fine for not doing something is not a penalty, but instead an incentive. Who knew? Maybe the voters of her district is Texas will have the incentive to vote to fool out of office.

Does Sheila Jackson Lee really believe the BS she is spewing?

The law itself states: “If an applicable individual fails to meet the requirement of subsection (a) [having a government-approved health-insurance policy]… there is hereby imposed a penalty with respect to the individual.”

Elsewhere, in a section entitled “Payment of Penalty,” it says that individuals failing to carry a government-approved health insurance policy must pay a maximum penalty of $750.

In Rep. Jackson-Lee’s view, however, this language does not actually impose a penalty.

As Weasel Zippers stated, should we expect anything coherent from Sheila Jackson Lee as she is the same person who called Rush Limbaugh a racist when he called MSNBC host Ed Schultz, “Sergeant Schultz.” Thanks to Michelle Malkin, we are provided with the definition of “penalty” and “idiot”.

 In a stunning move, the U.S. Supreme Court has scheduled another “conference” on a legal challenge to Barack Obama’s eligibility to occupy the Oval Office, but officials there are not answering questions about whether two justices given their jobs by Obama will participate.

The court has confirmed that it has distributed a petition for rehearing in the case brought by attorney John Hemenway on behalf of retired Col. Gregory Hollister and it will be the subject of a conference on March 4.

Evan Emory Arrested & Charged with 20 Year Felony for YouTube Video that ‘Victimized’ Ravenna 1st Graders

Yet another foolish 15 minutes of fame YOUTUBE moment; however, this 15 minutes may translate into a 20 year felony. 

21 year old Evan Emory was arrested and charged with manufacturing child sexual abusive material on YouTube. The video has since been removed. However, the video showed Evan Emory sitting on a chair in front of a group of young children, playing a guitar and singing a song about having sex and doing sexual things. Good grief what would possess some one to do something so stupid?

Emory, 21, who authorities say “victimized” an entire Ravenna first-grade classroom on Jan. 12, was arrested late Tuesday, charged with manufacturing child sexual abusive material, a 20-year felony.

Emory thought the following would be cute and involved minors in the process. Mistake, BIG MISTAKE!

Gallup: Barack Obama in Tie With Generic GOP Candidate for 2012 Presidential Election

According to the most recent Gallup Poll, Barack Obama is a deadlock tie, 45% – 45%, as to if registered voters would support Obama or an “unnamed” Republican candidate. One year ago Obama had a 44% to 42% lead when the same question was asked. So where did that so-called bounce for Obama and come back kid go that the MSM has been shilling?

As stated at The Hill, the results of the Gallup poll provide optimism for the many GOP candidates that are expected to run in the Republican Presidentialprimary to face Obama. Obama’s talk of “winning the future” looks like it may not include him politically. Although Republicans have a long way to go and need to come up with a dynamic new candidate, not a past retread … Barack Obama does face the spectre of losing to an unnamed candidate, not even a headline name.

The poll, release Wednesday, underlines an opportunity for the large field of potential Republican candidates looking to defeat Obama on the heels of the Democrats’ “shellacking” in the 2010 midterm elections, when they lost control of the House and six Senate seats.

The results of the generic ballot survey are virtually unchanged from last year, when Obama held a slight two-point edge over a generic Republican.

But the poll suggests Obama is more vulnerable than former President George W. Bush at this point in his presidency.

Interestingly enough, when Obama’s poll versus a generic candidate is compared to GWB at the same time, Bush beat a generic Democrat among registered voters by 47% to 39%.

In polling from October 2001 through January 2004, George W. Bush consistently led an unnamed Democratic opponent, although by a shrinking margin as his job approval rating descended from a post-9/11 reading of 87% to the 50s and 60s. In February 2003, the point in Bush’s presidency comparable to Obama’s presidency today, Bush beat a generic Democrat among registered voters by 47% to 39%.

NOT! Carter stated that although the Muslim Brotherhood has ties to Hezbollah, there’s nothing to be afraid of. UNREAL.

“60 Minutes” Correspondent CBS Reporter Lara Logan Repeatedly Sexually Assaulted by Egyptian Protesters Yelling, “Jew! Jew!”

The sexual assault of  Lara Logan, a hate crime as well …

As reported earlier today, CBS and 60 Minute correspondent Lara Logan was sexually assaulted on the day that as she covered the chaotic fall of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in Cairo’s  Tahrir Square. However, it just got worse, if possible. Lara Logan was repeatedly sexually assaulted by thugs yelling, “Jew! Jew!” NICE. Who would have thought this story could get worse?

A network source told The Post that her attackers were screaming, “Jew! Jew!” during the assault. And the day before, Logan had told Esquire.com that Egyptian soldiers hassling her and her crew had accused them of “being Israeli spies.” Logan is not Jewish.

In Friday’s attack, she was separated from her colleagues and attacked for between 20 to 30 minutes, The Wall Street Journal said.

Isn’t it ironic, as Jammie Wearing Fool opines, for the past two years the liberal MSM has portrayed the Tea Party as being an out of control group of hateful, racists, brown shirts … yet it was the peace loving, freedom fighting Egyptians who beat up reporters and sexually assaulted them. I guess a sexual assault does not fit the MSM’s narrative of the Egyptian freedom march. Imagine how the media would have reacted if a Muslim was ever sexually assaulted at a Tea Party event as individuals yelled religious slurs. Then again, it is hard to imagine, because it would never happen.

But CBS? They sat on their own story. For five days, as reporters reveled amid giddy celebrations in Tahrir Square, and as President Obama praised President Obama’s handling of the Egyptian crisis, CBS reported nothing.

Five days of silence — not even “60 Minutes” coverage of the Egypt story. No mention of the “mob of more than 200 people whipped into frenzy” who attacked their own reporter.

Apple’s Boss Steve Jobs Receives Cancer Treatment Where Patrick Swayze Was Patient … 6 Weeks to Live?

Say a prayer for Apple’s co-founder and CEO Steve Jobs.

Radar-on-Lineis reporting that Apple boss Steve Jobs, who is currently on a medical leave,  is receiving cancer treatment at the same clinic where Patrick Swayze was a patient in his final days before he passed. The 55 year old Jobs announced on January 17, 2011 that he was going on a medical leave to concentrate on his health.

RadarOnline.com has confirmed Jobs, 55, has been attending the Stanford Cancer Center in Palo Alto, California, where Swayze sought radical chemotherapy for pancreatic cancer before his death in September, 2009.

According to the UK Daily Mail, pics in the Enquirer show a frail and weak Steve Jobs whose health condition might be worse than previously stated. The tabloid reported that Jobs is stricken with pancreatic cancer and may have just six weeks to live. How absolutely sad, if true.  One of the great business minds of our times stricken by an all too common killer, cancer.

But today shocking new pictures were published in the supermarket tabloid the National Enquirer which suggests things are worse than Apple would have the world believe.

The Enquirer claims that the man behind the iPod, iPhone and iPad is stricken with pancreatic cancer and may have just six weeks to live.
