Lindsay Lohan Back in Court to Face Felony Grand Theft Charges over $2,500 Necklace

Once again actress Lindsay Lohan finds herself in a world of trouble. Lohan is due in court to face grand theft criminal charges in the theft of a $2500 necklace from a jewelry store. Lohan is denying the charges. The obvious bet at this point is what are the odds that Lohan will wind up in the “big house” as opposed to the big screen first. It would appear from the actions of the troubled actress that its an even money bet.

Lindsay Lohan is due in court to face a new judge, and a new criminal charge, that could return the troubled starlet to jail rather than the big screen.

The “Mean Girls” star is due to be arraigned Wednesday afternoon on a felony grand theft charge that prosecutors say they will file over a $2,500 necklace reported stolen by an upscale jewelry store.

The charge is the latest – and most serious – legal problem for the actress, who remains on probation for a 2007 drunken driving case.

Police and prosecutors allege Lohan, 24, took the necklace from a store in the beachside community of Venice on Jan. 22, weeks after she was released from a rehab facility where she was also accused of misconduct.

How much more trouble can one person continually get in to? It’s obvious that this girl is spiralling out of control. How will it end? Sadly, we have seen this story play out over the years and it’s never a happy movie ending.

UPDATE I: Lohan Accused of Stealing Mink, Rolex in Past, Freed on $40,000 bail.

Lindsay Lohan is free on $40,000 bail after pleading not guilty to felony grand theft charges involving a one-of-a-kind necklace whose owner puts its value at $2,500.

And, reports CBS News correspondent Bill Whitaker, this isn’t the first time the troubled actress has been accused of stealing a valuable item.

WikiLeaks: Saudi Oil Reserves Overstated by Nearly 40% … Where is American Energy Independence?

According to a confidential cable made public by WikiLeaks, a senior Saudi government oil executive warned that Saudi crude oil reserves may have been overstated by as much as 40%. That translates to 300 billion barrels. YIKES! Could some one please explain after 30+ years since the oil embargoes of the 1970′s  … how does the United Stated not have a comprehensive energy plan that includes oil exploration in the US, nuclear, clean coal, etc that would make of independent of foreign oil? We can also research “green” methods but that is way down the road.  We fought a war of Independence in 1776, why are we not fighting a war for energy independence in the 21st century?

The US fears that Saudi Arabia, the world’s largest crude oil exporter, may not have enough reserves to prevent oil prices escalating, confidential cables from its embassy in Riyadh show.

The cables, released by WikiLeaks, urge Washington to take seriously a warning from a senior Saudi government oil executive that the kingdom’s crude oil reserves may have been overstated by as much as 300bn barrels – nearly 40%.

The revelation comes as the oil price has soared in recent weeks to more than $100 a barrel on global demand and tensions in the Middle East. Many analysts expect that the Saudis and their Opec cartel partners would pump more oil if rising prices threatened to choke off demand.

A Match Made in Media Moonbat Heaven, Keith Olbermann to Al Gore’s Current TV Channel

It’s the gift that keeps on giving … Olbermann to the Goracle network?

Is former MSNBC TV host Keith Olbermann headed to Al Gore’s Current TV channel? According to the NY Times, the answer is yes. if so, it would be a match made in liberal media moonbat heaven. We all speculated what would be next for Keith Olbermann as he parted ways with MSNBC. He thought he had low ratings at MSNBC, wait until this switch occurs.  I can’t wait for Olbermann’s newest skit … “the evil anti-Global warming Man in the World.”

Keith Olbermann, the former top-rated host on the news channel MSNBC, will announce his next television home on Tuesday, and people on Monday familiarwith his plans pointed to a possible deal with the public affairs channel Current TV.

Mr. Olbermann, his representatives and executives from Current TV declined to comment on the move, but they did not deny that the channel, which counts former Vice President
Al Gore as one of its founders, will become at least one partner in Mr. Olbermann’s future media plans.

Current TV, wouldn’t Olbermann have a greater viewership/readership on-line? According to reports, Olbermann would have the possibility to separately pursue other ventures, like an Internet destination. I would hope so with a TV channel that is only in 60 million homes and “usually provided only on the digital tier of cable television systems”. This will most certainly put the Goracle network on the map, NOT! I am with Hot Air, why would Olbermann settle for such a low rent job at such an unheard of network? Then again, Air America is no longer.

More at NewsBusters … if the rumors are true, what is the over/under on the days, months, years that Olbermann will remain on Gore’s network before he wears out his welcome?

Democrats Abandoning Ship Across the South … Switch to the GOP … Democrat Party Does not Represent Conservative Dems

It was the obvious handwriting on the wall following the shellacking the Democrats took in the 2010 midterm elections … They did not leave the Democrat party, the party left them.

Many Democrats in the South are reading the tea leaves and see that the Democrat party no longer represents the people, especially in the South. As reported at the LA Times, the latest Democrat to switch parties is  Ashley Bell from Georgia. The Pelosi-Reid-Obama lead Democrats made it obvious that conservatives are not welcome in the so-called “big tent” Democrat party. Add 29 state Democrat legislatures to the 680 that one election in 2010 … the shift is on to the GOP.

Reporting from Atlanta — For Democrats, Ashley Bell was the kind of comer that a party builds a future on: A young African American lawyer, he served as president of the College Democrats of America, advised presidential candidate John Edwards and spoke at the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston.

But after his party’s midterm beat-down in November, Bell, a commissioner in northern Georgia’s Hall County, jumped ship. He joined the Republicans.

Bell, 30, said he had serious issues with the healthcare law and believed that conservative “blue dog” Democrats in Congress who shared his values had been bullied into voting for it.

Democrats switching to the GOP has been a sign of the times since the 2010 midterm elections. The count to date, 24 state senators and representatives have made the switch in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Texas. This is added to the 680 seats that the GOP picked up in the state legislatures in the 2010 elections.

As stated at the Daily Caller, “because of the wave of defections, Republicans in Louisiana now hold a majority in the state House for the first time since Reconstruction”. Many in the South have come to realize that the liberals that are the power brokers in the Democrat party in no way represent Conservative Democrats and their is no reason to stay in a party that does not represent their beliefs or values.

President Barack Obama Tells Bill O’Reilly He is Not Moving to the Center … “”I haven’t, I didn’t move to … I’m the same guy”

Obama …Change? Hardly.

During the President Barack Obama – Bill O’Reilly pre-Super Bowl interview yesterday on FOX, Obama told O’Reilly that he was not moving to the center. Bill O’Reilly, the king of cable news asked President Obama whether he was pivoting following the shellacking the Democrats took during the 2010 midterm. Obama’s response should be a wake up call to independents who though he was. Obama said, no, “I haven’t — I didn’t move to… I’m the same guy.”

President Obama on Sunday dismissed the notion that his administration in recent weeks has pivoted toward the political center to raise his approval ratings as the 2012 campaign nears.

After ushering through Congress measures to throw a lifeline to troubled U.S. corporations, stimulate the economy and dramatically overhaul the nation’s healthcare system, Obama has since cut a deal with congressional Republicans on taxes and called for a freeze on most federal spending.

But when pressed Sunday during a live interview with Fox’s Bill O’Reilly on what political analysts say is a clear sprint toward the center, Obama dismissed the notion with a “no.”

“I haven’t — I didn’t move to… I’m the same guy,” he said.

So much for the liberal media’s attempt to portray Obama was moving to the center and being “Reaganesque”. From the horses mouth, Obama is the same old liberal president as he ever was. So much for Obama being a moderate. Americans might want to remember these words in the 2012 elections,

HuffPo Agrees to $315 million buyout from AOL … Hmmm

Things that Make you Go Hmm …

Well, well well, the liberal leaning Huffington Post has agreed to a $315 million buyout from AOL. The news broke lasy night on the HuffPo. Arianna Huffington will become president and editor in chief the Huffington Post Media Group. She will control media content?

Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington, who made the announcement on her site Sunday night, will become president and editor in chief the Huffington Post Media Group, which will put the news outlet she co-founded under the same ownership as AOL’s collection of sites. Huffington – the former wife of one-time Republican Senate candidate Michael Huffington – has evolved into a well-known pundit and author, and a powerful player in Democratic circles as a result of her venture.

Has AOL just turned into the MSNBC of the Internet? AOL can no longer appear to be apolitical with this merger.

By handing so much control over to Ms. Huffington and making her a public face of the company, AOL, which has been seen as apolitical, risks losing its nonpartisan image. Ms. Huffington said her politics would have no bearing on how she ran the new business.

Many are asking like The Other McCain and the American Spectator as to whether this merger makes sense and if there was a misplaced decimal point. I am not sure it does as well, that kind of $’s for that many uniques? Hmm.
