Swiss Neutrality? George W. Bush Cancels Trip to Switzerland … Threat of Protests & Arrest on War Crimes

So much for Swiss neutrality and sanity.

Former President George W. Bush has canceled his trip to Switzerland where he was to give the keynote address at a Jewish group’s charity gala on February 12 in Geneva. As reported at The Hill, GWB canceled because of expected protests and the treat of possible arrest on war crimes allegations. So much for the rules of diplomatic immunity. It is simply amazing just how whacked out these European countries have become. As Weasel Zippers stated, because those Swiss folks are certainly known for their rational protests, like the bare naked ladies moonbats protesting global warming in their birthday suits.

President George W. Bush has canceled an event in the famously neutral country Switzerland because of expected protests to his presence there.

Bush was supposed to give the keynote address at a Jewish group’s charity gala on Feb. 12 in Geneva.

Leftist groups had planned to protest the visit, according to news agencies. But several human rights groups had also filed criminal complaints against Bush, demanding that he be taken into custody if he stepped on Swiss soil and investigated for allegations of ordering torture.

A right-wing member of the Swiss parliament also demanded last week Bush’s arrest on war crimes allegations if he came to the country, according to Reuters.

Honestly, it is too bad that Bush did not go through with the trip and speak at the event. How would not have liked to have seen Swiss authorities attempt to arrest a former US President? It would have almost have been worth the dare.  I wonder how many Swizz lives have been saved over the years due to interrogation? What the heck happened to Switzerland?

   Have to wonder if leaders of China or Iran have ever been there and if there were protests. Americans are an easy target for criticism, but what would this world look like without us? My guess: China and Iran.

   Has been a money laundering banks for drugs, weapons, and the sex trade. Not a country of laws, but a country with no morals.

   They even helped steal the money that belonged to the JEWS!

   The SWISS need to be put on trail. Not George W. Bush.

   Neutrality or partisanship is irrelevant. This is about a point of international law.

   It’s unambiguously stated in the Geneva convention. Invading another country without the go ahead from a United Nations resolution is the *supreme* war crime.

   - and legally speaking, it’s the supreme executive that is responsible: That’s G.W.Bush.
   Much as American’s pretend otherwise, USA *is* a signatory of the convention.

   You can wriggle and apologise all you like, but the law is the law, and the law indicates that Bush is a war criminal no better than Milosevic.

   except for it’s women, Switzerland has nothing. my company was bought out by a Swiss guy and within two years we were closing down due to their inability to understand that we were not in Switzerland ? when in Switzerland, do like the Swiss. when in America, do like the Americans.

   I would love to see the Swiss getting serious with the blocking of bankaccounts by certain foreign leaders who plunder their ppl.

   @Dave…same goes for US companies comming to Europa. There is a lot of difference even between UK and US style

    You need to study the facts about 9/11 for reason of conspiracy what greedy men have intended for us who have done the work in the communities in good will only to be decieved into a war that never,will never lead to osama bin laden,or truth. A True Christians actions prove God leads him.I can only trust God, not bush.
