Afshan Azad, Harry Potter Actress “Beaten, Threatened & Branded a Prostitute” by Her Brother & Father After Dating a Non-Muslim

You have heard of Muslim honor killing, how about honor beatings … because Islam means peace. Not even Harry Potter actresses are exempt from Muslim honor killings.

22 year old Afshan Azad, the Harry Potter actress who played Padma Patil was attacked by her bother and father who threatened to kill her because she dare date a Hindu man. She was branded a “whore” by her family when they learned who her boyfriend was. The actress was forced to flee her home under threat of death. Her father, 54 year old Abul Azad and her brother 28 year old Ashraf  were arrested and charged with making threats to kill her. However, due to fear for her life, Afshan Azad did not testify against her father and brother. Azad’s brother pleads guilty to assaulting her; however, prosecutors allowed the two to skate on the death threat charges.

A Harry Potter actress fled her home after her father and brother threatened to kill her for going out with a Hindu man, a court heard yesterday.

Afshan Azad, 22, who appeared in the blockbuster movies as Padma Patil, was attacked and branded a ‘slag’ when Muslim relatives found out about her boyfriend.

The actress was so scared that she escaped out of her bedroom window and later fled her home city.
Police were called and her father, Abul Azad, 54, and brother, Ashraf, 28, were arrested and charged with making threats to kill her. The actress’s brother was also charged with assault.

Jason “Blu” Griffith, Ex Boy Friend of Missing Deborah “Debbie” Flores-Narvaez Previously Arrested for Domestic Violence

Ex-boyfriend, Jason “Blu” Griffith is scheduled to be in court Tuesday morning for an arraignment on the domestic violence charges.

According to court filings (see below), Jason “Blu” Griffith, the ex-boyfriend of missing 31 year old Las Vegas dancer Deborah “Debbie” Flores-Narvaez has been arrested in the past for domestic violence against the missing dancer. Obviously never a good sign when an ex has a past history of violence and the victim of the domestic violence is missing. According to preliminary reports, Debbie” Flores-Narvaez was last seen leaving her home to visit her ex-boyfriend, Jason “Blu” Griffith.

VIDEO – presently police are stating that the ex is not a suspect or person of interest in the missing persons case, even though he admitted being with her before her disappearance.

According to a police report, Jason “Blu” Griffith, was arrested for beating Deborah “Debbie” Flores-Narvaez up in October 2010. At the time of the violence,  Griffith and Flores-Narvaez were dating.

According to the police report, Griffith allegedly stole Flores-Narvaez’s iPhone during a dispute. She chased after him and the two started arguing. Griffith then threw her phone. When Flores-Narvaez went to retrieve it, he ran toward her, pushed her down, pulled her hair and kicked her. Police say Debbie had bruises on both legs and found a chunk of her hair.

Griffith was arrested for battery/domestic violence and coercion.

At the time of the report, Flores-Narvaez told police she had been dating Griffith for a year and was pregnant with his child. She told police that while she was in her car following a visit with an ex-girlfriend of Griffith’s, he had approached her, opened her car door, taken her iPhone and elbowed her in the left chin.

The report said Flores-Narvaez had no visible facial injuries.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano in an interview on ABC’s World News Tonight with Diane Sawyer sat down to discuss the possibility of a terror attack over the holidays.  Janet Napolitano doing her best impersonation of VP Biden said the following, “What I say to the American people is that… thousands of people are working 24/7, 364 days a year to keep the American people safe.”

Imagine if GWB or Sarah Palin made such a comment, it would be front page news in every paper and leading the nightly news.

How absolutely pathetic is it that one gets such an overused phrase like 24/7/365 wrong. So what day did she take off, maybe it was last Christmas when we had the underwear bomber on Christmas day.

Janet Napolitano did not elaborate as to what was the one day that the DHS is not keeping America safe nor did Diane Sawyer bother to ask a follow up question. So what is the one day that Janet Napolitano is taking off? Fear not America, Napolitano is on the job battling the war on climate change.

JibJab does their 2010 year in review complete with Obama and Biden muppets. Honestly, knowing how funny the folks from JibJab are, they could have done much, much better. With all the screw ups, failure to live up to campaign promises and spending this country into oblivion with near 10% unemployment … there could have been much, much more. What no reference to endless golfing?

One CNN Poll & Oversampling Does Not a Barack Obama Job Approval Rebound Make

Sorry Politico, but one poll does not an Obama rebound make. Try as you might to artificially report that President Barack Obama’s job approval rating is rebounding, but that is simply not the case. Will you Libs stop at nothing to carry the water for this President even when his base is as upset as ever against The One. I guess the Politico does not want to take at look at this poll, or this one or this one either.  Obama will have to do much more than being forced to sign the Bush era tax extensions to get any real rebound.

The Politico referenced one CNN poll as their source where 48% are in favor of how Obama is handling his job and 48% disapprove.

In a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll released Monday, 48 percent of Americans say they approve of how Obama is handling his job, while 48 percent disapprove.

The disapproval number is the lowest it’s been since May, when it was 46 percent in the same poll. His disapproval rating reached as high as 54 percent in September and clocked in at 50 percent in November.

NPR Reporter Nina Totenberg Ashamed to Say She was at a Christmas Party … “I was at – forgive the expression – a Christmas Party”

What is wrong with Liberals, have they completely lost their minds and their souls. They certainly have lost their religion.

From Newsbusterscomes the following story of an NPR reporter Nina Totenberg interjected on Inside Washington, “I was at – forgive the expression – a Christmas party.” What? Why would she have to forgive the expression? Are NPR liberals now openly apologizing for dare referencing the word “Christmas” in public. Are we to understand that the LEFT now thinks that you cannot say the word Christmas anymore?

Why would any one apologize for saying Merry Christmas?

Minnesota Vikings Punter Chris Kluwe Tweeted the Playing surface at TCF Bank Stadium is “As Hard as Concrete” and “Unplayable”

WHEN DID THE NFL BECOME SO GUTLESS? NEWS FLASH TO VIKINGS … THE TEAM USED TO PLAY OUTSIDE.

Remember when the Houston Astrodome was the only one? What a difference time makes. There was a time and place in my youth when the Minnesota Vikings could not wait to play outside and use the cold, snow and other elements to their advantage. Now, these pampered prima-donna players are afraid of a little cold and a playing surface that does not resemble their plush living room carpet.

If you were to listen to all the whining and belly-aching coming from those who are going to have to play in tonight’s MNF game between the Chicago Bears and the Minnesota Vikings, one would think that there was no such epic NFL game known as “The Ice Bowl”.  The game is supposed to be played outdoors at the University of Minnesota’s stadium as the Metro-dome is still unable to host a game as it could not withstand last weeks brutal snow storm.

Enter Vikings punter Chris Kluwe who tweeted that the playing surface at TCF Bank Stadium is “as hard as concrete” and “unplayable”. What! A punter is making a comment that the playing surface is unplayable? Are you serious, a punter has maybe 7 plays a game and will never touch the playing surface and he is mouthing off? Hey Chris Kluwe, STFU and grow a set. The surface is like concrete? Today’s so-called football players would be aghast if they ever had to play at the old VET and the astro-turf that was there and a aprt of many stadiums in the 70′s and 80′s that was nothing more than fuzzy, green cement.

The playing surface at TCF Bank Stadium is “as hard as concrete” and “unplayable,” Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe tweeted Sunday afternoon after a brief practice there.

Despite skepticism from both Vikings and Chicago Bears players last week, team and University of Minnesota officials have expressed confidence that the field would be in acceptable condition for Monday night’s game — even after a mad scramble to clear 20-inch snow drifts from the field this week.

But after Sunday’s practice, Kluwe issued a series of tweets that predicted the game would be a “trainwreck.”

Kluwe: “The field is as hard as concrete an hour and a half after they took the tarp off, and anyone that hits their head is getting a concussion. … I find it interesting that the NFL can claim an emphasis on player safety, and then tell us the field is fine. It’s beyond hypocritical. … I can only hope, however unlikely, that no one gets catastrophically injured at the trainwreck that’s about to take place tomorrow night.”

Just how soft has the NFL become and especially the Minnesota Vikings? Back when the Vikings acted like Vikings and were known as the “Purple People Eaters” they played outside at Metropolitan Stadium in Bloomington, MN. Personally, the Vikings lost much of their personality when they became a dome team. Can anyone imagine the Bears, the Monsters of the Midway, ever playing inside?

What is most ironic about all the whining regarding having to play outside at night in Minnesota is that at half time the Vikings will be honoring the 50 greatest Vikings. Folks like Fran Tarkenton, Carl Eller, Allan Page, Jim Marshall, Amad Rashad, Ron Yary, Ed White, Stu Voigt, Dave Osborn, Paul Krause,  Fred Cox, Mick Tingelhoff, and coach  Bud Grant among many others will be honored. These individuals gave the Vikes their reputation as tough nosed, turf eating, hard nosed folks. How incredible is it that on the very night they are honoring Viking greats, many who played in years of yore when men were men and the NFL was not a flag football league.

The Ice Bowl, what legends are made of …

A note to today’s players … suck it up. If it were up to you people the “Ice Bowl”would never have been played between the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers in 1967. If it were up to today’s player, the 1981 AFC Championship game between the San Diego Chargers and the Cincinnati Bengals known as the “Freezer  Bowl” would never have been played. The  air temperature was ?9 °F, but the wind chill, factoring in a sustained wind of 27 miles per hour ?37 °F .

Today’s NFL players need to understand the history of football and the tough nosed players that once played the game. There was a time when a player would never wear a long sleeve shirt under their jersey. It would have been considered a lack of manhood to do so. My how times have changed and not for the better. Remember when players didn’t complain, they just played the game?

UPDATE I:According to ESPN reports, Vikes QB Brett Favre has been upgraded to questionable for tonight’s game against the Chicago Bears. Honestly, I hope Brett has one last hoorah in him and can make this one last start in what should look like a throw back game from days of yesterday.

British Police Arrest 12 Men in UK Terror Plot

British police have arrested 12 men suspected  of plotting a large-scale terror attack on targets inside the United Kingdom. According to reports, the operation is in its early stages so we are unable to go into detail; however, police swept in and made the necessary arrests to ensure the public protection  The men are thought to be British nationals but with links to Bangladesh and Pakistan and between the ages of  17 to 28.

The raid was thought to be linked to UK targets only and not part of a larger threat to other European countries, security officials said.

Police who swooped in on the men’s houses early in the morning were unarmed, suggesting any planned attack was not imminent and the suspects were not believed armed. Police were heavily criticized in 2006 when they shot an unarmed suspect in a similar counterterrorism raid. Only a fraction of Britain’s police officers are armed.

The men were arrested in London, the Welsh city of Cardiff and the English cities of Birmingham and Stoke-on-Trent and the raid was the largest since April 2009, when 12 men were detained over an alleged al-Qaida bomb plot in the northern city of Manchester.

UK authorities are saying this plot was not connected to rumors of Christmas Day plots by al-Qaeda across Europe and into the US; however, Hot Air has more.
