The Democrat $1.1 Trillion Omnibus Bill … Here Piggy, Piggy, Piggy … Enough is Enough!!!

Harry Reid and Dems give the finger to WE THE PEOPLE …

The Democrats suddenly claim they are fiscally responsible in playing class warfare when it comes to tax cuts for the rich, but they have no problem spending another $1.1 trillion in a near 2000 page Omnibus bill. GOOD GRIEF. This is what Harry Reid and the Democrats think of the 2010 midterm elections and the fact that the people said enough spending! Instead, Reid and the Dems just add more and more pork spending and keep adding more and more deficits to the already existing record one. Just 42 days ago Americans went to the polls and gave Democrats a shellacking as a political tsunami swept many spendthrift Democrats out of office. And now this.

America, this is what Harry Reid thinks of the 2010 elections. BTW, thanks so much Nevada

Can you imagine America, after the 2010 midterm elections … the Democrat majority think so little of you that they directly against your will. American told Washington to stop spending so what do Democrats continue to do … SPEND!

Senate Democrats have filed a $1.1 trillion omnibus spending bill that would fund the government through fiscal year 2011, according to Senate GOP sources.

The 1,924-page bill includes funding to implement the sweeping healthcare reform bill Congress passed earlier this year as well as additional funds for Internal Revenue Service agents, according to a senior GOP aide familiar with the legislation.

The package drew a swift rebuke from Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.), chairman of the Senate Republican Policy Committee.

“The attempt by Democrat leadership to rush through a nearly 2,000-page spending bill in the final days of the lame-duck session ignores the clear will expressed by the voters this past election,”Thune said in a statement. “This bill is loaded up with pork projects and should not get a vote. Congress should listen to the American people and stop this reckless spending.”

The outrage of many can be heard from US Senator John McCain (R-AZ) in the following video.

“The American People Have Said Enough!”

“I thought that the message was pretty clear. That the American people said enough with the spending, enough with the pork barrel spending, enough with mortgaging our children and grandchildren’s future.”

VIDEO Hat Tip: Nice Deb

Have these shameless politicians learned nothing from the revolt of  “WE THE PEOPLE” in the 2010 midterms? And for their final lame-duck act comes the $1.1 trillion PORKTACULAR Omnibus bill. Oh but wait, its not just Democrats … its RINO’s as well. That and pissed off Republicans who were replaced in this past election like Sen. Bob Bennett (R-Utah).

“That’s my intention,” said retiring Sen. Bob Bennett (R-Utah) when asked if he would support the package.

Bennett said earmarks in the bill might give some of his GOP colleagues reason to hesitate but wouldn’t affect his vote.

“It will be tough for some, but not for me,” he said.

GOP Sens. Kit Bond (Mo.), George Voinovich (Ohio) and Susan Collins (Maine) also told The Hill on Tuesday they would consider voting for the omnibus but want to review it before making a final decision.

Much more at Michelle Malkin and Red State. This is getting to be nothing more than criminal.

$247,000 – Virus free grapes in Washington State
$413,000 – Peanut research in Alabama
$125,000 – Fishery equipment for the Guam Fisherman’s Cooperative Association
$349,000 – Swine waste management in North Carolina
$277,000 – Potato pest management in wisconsin
$246,000 – Bovine tuberculosis treatment in Michigan and Minnesota
$522,000 – Cranberry and blueberry disease and breeding in New Jersey
$500,000 – Oyster safety in Florida
$400,000 – Solar parking canopies and plug-in electric stations in Kansas
$165,000 – Maple syrup research in Vermont

Get on your phones and call your Senators and SAY NO, HELL NO!!!

6,488 earmarks!!!

“Additionally, the bill earmarks $727,000 to compensate ranchers in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan whenever endangered wolves eat their cattle. As my colleagues know, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Gray Wolf program is under intense scrutiny for wasting millions of taxpayer dollars every year to ‘recover’ endangered wolves that are now overpopulating the West and Midwest. My State of Arizona has a similar wolf program but ranchers in my state aren’t getting $727,000 in this bill.

“Mr. President, I will have much more to say about this bill later this week. I assure my colleagues – we will spend a great deal of time talking about this bill and the outrageous number of earmarks it contains. But for now let me just say this: it is December 14th – we are 22 days away from the beginning of a new Congress and nearly three full months into fiscal year 2011 – and yet we have not debated a single spending bill or considered any amendments to cut costs or get our debt under control. Furthermore, the majority decided that they just didn’t feel like doing a budget this year. How is that responsible leadership?

The answer is, IT IS NOT. This is the reason why in 2012, fiscally conservative Republicans must take back the US Senate and the White House. America cannot survive if this continues.

Nice to hear McCain saying it as it is. If we could
count on him to become a Constitutional Conservative
thru and thru it would be satisfying to me. Bravo so far!

Really…so there were no republicans that had ear marks? Come on….
      ____________
SM: WOLF, read the story … yes they did and they should be flogged whoever votes for this.

However, understand what was done. This legislation was a long time in the making, started way before the 2010 elections. But Harry “FU” Reid decided to bring it to vote, he could of and should of shelved it as if it never occured. But no, these rat bastards had to fleece Americans one more time.

RINO’s and Republicans better learn, you do this crap and you will be voted out. The Tea Party is watching.

      …OK…

Question…How do you get republicans to pass yet another 1.1 trillion dollar stimulus bill?

Answer…rebrand the package as a “tax extension” promising mucho dinero to the 2% wealthy to encourage them to hire more people.

Something that did not work for ten years will not work for two more, so we can effectively save that cash and pay back Red China which is actually financing this obscene deal.

The middle class should think before giving their children and grandchildren more debt to pay the Red state. President Eisenhower had a recession and the word of the day was “Austerity”, either an unknown word now or something that is forbidden to talk about within political circles, whether Democrat or Republican.

Yes, middle class, that so-called “tax-cut extension is actually a mortgage you are taking out on your children and grandchildren, just so you can live more comfortable and watch your hdtv on a 60 inch screen instead of a 21 inch tv.

have we really come to the point where “sacrifice” means sacrificing our progeny’s future? I don’t like paying but I don’t want my children to pay my way either, and that is just what we are doing.

Earmarks, schmearmarks, this stimulus with the faux tax extension just dug us 1.1 trillion dollars deeper into the hiole. and Democrats and Republicans are dancing on our future’s grave.

I sincerely hope that people wise up and begin to understand that when we live and do without, it will only strengthen the economy, quite the reverse of what the politicians are saying.

So the word for today, thanks to President Dwight D Eisenhower is “AUSTERITY”. For God’s sake, people, let’s think of the future and paying of the Red giant so we can get them off our back!

It is too damn bad that the 17th ammendment was passed to allow popular election of senators.

Our founders knew what they were doing in keeping the two houses, one for the people and another for the states, from having a single source for elections.

Yes, the people are AWAKE and watching. If the Democrats continue this theft from the people, they will loose every local, county, state and federal election in 2012.

      than a democrat.

    11. St Stephen on December 16th, 2010 2:34 pm

      @10…

…and you deserve to get robbed by them as you seem to be an agent provocateur to begin with.

The CONSERVATIVES here at this forum may prefer NOT to be robbed by any party or person, so it looks like you do not even belong here. But since you are, here is a hint for you…don’t let anybody pick your pocket, regardless of party affiliation.

That is a mantra of fiscal conservatives that you would do well to comprehend.

We are fighting a philosophy here, not necessarily a party(although the Democrats are more than top-heavy with this type of fraud). Republicans that adhere to having our children pay for our mess need to be and, with help from above and learned citizens, will be voted out, along with their Democrat bedfellows.

Take heed, tea-party members are NOT ignorant and DO NOT want to be robbed by anybody, period. This type of blatant action such as voting for another stimulus bill, this time 1.1 trillion bucks, will not go unnoticed.

We will remember this, if for nothing else, for our children.
