The AP should be ashamed of themself as they refer to Republican US Rep. John Boehner as a “Weepy Speaker In Waiting”. Boehner has not even been given the gavel and become the Speaker of the House and the Democrat bias liberal MSM is already mocking him. UNREAL. Does any one ever remember them using mocking adjectives to describe Nancy Pelosi when she was the Speaker, let olone before she gained the position?

If soon-to-be-ousted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is known for her steely smile and composure, her replacement, John Boehner, has a reputation for tearing up.

It starts with a quaver in the Ohio Republican’s voice. Then there’s a pregnant pause as he tries — usually unsuccessfully — to keep his feelings in check. Soon, he’s choking out words in a rush of emotion, shaking his head and waving his hands as he tries to pull himself together.

It happened most recently when Boehner took his first turn on stage after Republicans seized control of the House in the midterm elections.

Boehner held it together until he got to the spot in his speech when he spoke of his humble origins as one of 12 children in a working-class family.

Then he started to lose it as he told the election-night rally, “I’ve spent my whole life chasing the American dream.”

Who is Earl Devaney? He is the individual tapped to monitor the trillion dollar stimulus, the overdue economic recovery to ensure that the taxpayers are kept informed and know all about it. There is just one problem … IT WAS A CLOSED MEETING!

With President Obama out of the country tweaking things in Asia, carefully not bowing this time, and packing away some pista murg and balak papri chat, his trusty sidekick Joe Biden is left to find things to do back home.(snip)

Possibly the most important event of the vice president’s day Tuesday is to meet at 2:15 with Earl Devaney. Everyone knows him as chairman of the Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board — the top guy monitoring the gazillion-dollar stimulus and the overdue economic recovery, and ensuring that the taxpayers financing same know all about it.

However, no one outside the room will know what goes on in that Biden-Devaney meeting. That’s because the government meeting on government transparency has been closed.

It was one of Barack Obama’s campaign promises to the LEFT, that the US would be out of Afghanistan by July 2011. However, much like the many other promises like the closing of GITMO, Cap & Tax, et all … Obama appears to be back tracking. Obama officials are now publicly abandoning the July 2011 deadlines for the withdrawal from the war in Afghanistan.

The Obama administration has decided to begin publicly walking away from what it once touted as key deadlines in the war in Afghanistan in an effort to de-emphasize President Barack Obama’s pledge that he’d begin withdrawing U.S. forces in July 2011, administration and military officials have told McClatchy.

The new policy will be on display next week during a conference of NATO countries in Lisbon, Portugal, where the administration hopes to introduce a timeline that calls for the withdrawal of U.S. and NATO forces from Afghanistan by 2014, the year when Afghan President Hamid Karzaionce said Afghan troops could provide their own security, three senior officials told McClatchy, along with others speaking anonymously as a matter of policy.

 Oh how the LEFT is going to howl on this one as “The One” flip-flops on the withdrawal from Afghanistan. Obama had been told by many critics not to put a time line on the withdrawal; however, it fell upon his deaf ears. Now it not only looks like bad policy, Obama looks foolish in having to go back on his campaign promise. As Right Wing News aptly states, what did the LEFT think was going to occur, all of Obama’s promises  come with an expiration date.

What a year ago had been touted as an extensive December review of the strategy now also will be less expansive and will offer no major changes in strategy, the officials told McClatchy. So far, the U.S. Central Command, the military division that oversees Afghanistan operations, hasn’t submitted any kind of withdrawal order for forces for the July deadline, two of those officials told McClatchy.

The shift already has begun privately and came in part because U.S. officials realized that conditions in Afghanistan were unlikely to allow a speedy withdrawal.

“During our assessments, we looked at if we continue to move forward at this pace, how long before we can fully transition to the Afghans? And we found that we cannot fully transition to the Afghans by July 2011,” said one senior administration official. “So we felt we couldn’t focus on July 2011 but the period it will take to make the full transition.”

Wait for the liberal backlash on this one from the LEFT. can you say a Howard Dean challenge in the 2012 Democrat Presidental primary against Obama.

Greene, the unlikely Democratic Senate nominee in South Carolina who lost overwhelmingly to Republican Sen. Jim DeMint last week, called the state Democratic Party on Tuesday to ask how much it would cost to run for president.

“Maybe. I’ll have to see,”Greene told POLITICO when asked whether he was considering filing to run for president. He confirmed that he called the state party Tuesday to ask about the fee. The state party’s spokeswoman, Keiana Page, confirmed that someone called the party Tuesday asking about the presidential filing fee but said that the caller did not identify himself.

Alec Baldwin to Run for US Rep if GOP’s Randy Altschuler Wins in New York’s 1st Congressional District … Just What America Needs

Presently the race is too close to call; however, Altsculer is in the lead. Obviously, the “moonbat” LEFT has yet to figure out the message that “WE THE PEOPLE” sent on November 2, 2010.

It is unconfirmed as to whether Alec Baldwin will make part of his campaign, the right to call your  11 year old daughter a “rude, thoughtless little pig”. The network is quoting sources close to actor Alec Baldwin as saying he intends to challenge Randy Altschuler of New York for Congress in two years if the Republican candidate ends up winning the House seat currently occupied by Rep. Tim Bishop, D-N.Y. The Altschuler-Bishop race is one of a handful still deemed too close to call; the most recent count shows Bishop, a four-term incumbent, trailing by less than 400 votes.

Baldwin is no stranger to politics. He has been both criticized and acclaimed for his outspoken support of the Democratic Party (he donated $2,000 to Bishop’s campaign this year), and in an interview with CNN last year, revealed his interest in running for public office.

“The desire is there; that’s one component,” he said. “The other component is opportunity.”

Now the opportunity could materialize, if New York’s 1st Congressional District, which includes Baldwin’s Long Island home, turns Republican.

Maybe Alec can use this for a campaign commercial?

Talk about out of touch, from the Drudge Report,  Nancy Pelosi is planning to throw a big bash to celebrate her “accomplishments.” Maybe she would also like to throw a party for herself in trying to become the Democrat House Minority leader? After all, Pelosi is responsible for the Democrats becoming the minority party in the House, why not reward her.

NY-1 (Suffolk County, Long Island): After a voting machine recanvass, Randy Altschuler (R) has taken over the lead from incumbent Tim Bishop (D).
NY-25: Tea Party-backed Ann Marie Buerkle (R) leads Dann Maffei (D) by 684 votes.
TX-27: Solomon Ortiz (D) trails by 799 792 votes with all the votes in. He’s going to request a recount. 
VA-11: Gerry Connolly (D) claimed victory for a narrow win. By the way, he was hospitalized for an undisclosed condition.
WA-2: Rick Larsen (D) leads by 3,841 votes, a slight loss of votes from 4,100 after counting in Snohomish County.

The Gateway Pundit reminds us of other great Pelosi accomplishments like helping, along with Obama and Reid,  to triple the national debt in one year, see unemployment rise on her watch and lose the House in near record numbers.
