Barack Obama’s Worst 10 Days of Poltical Career … The One Comes Home Empty Handed with ‘Bupkis’

The Obamamessiah comes home from his “get out of Dodge” trip overseas empty handed …

If there was any doubt following the 2010 midterm election shellacking that the Democrats took on November 2 that the Obama bloom was off the rose, it was confirmed by his overseas unmitigated disaster trip following the midterm tsunami. The once crowned prince Obamamessiah comes back from his trip pretty much empty handed.

After watching his party take a beating in the midterm elections, Obama wasn’t able to secure even a symbolic victory on a trip that was expected to give him plenty of opportunities to claim a win.

“This certainly was the worst 10 days of his political life,”said Baruch College political scientist Doug Muzzio. “Given that he’s not going to be able to get any domestic achievements with the Republicans in control of the House … if he doesn’t do it in foreign policy that’s a big problem for him.

“He came back with bupkis [Yiddish for 'nothing'].”

Obama’s inauspicious 10-day, four-nation trip included a failure to land an anticipated slam dunk free trade agreement with South Korea.

It also included a botched effort to rally Western allies to press China to budge on a monetary policy that threatens to keep the U.S. economy in the tank.

Is it any wonder why Obama has a -16 Daily Presidential Presidential Index and a -7% jobs approval rating.

As stated at Weasel Zippers  regarding the “Empty Suit” in Chief with an accompanying most appropriate picture, the Obama ship is continuing to take on water and sink.

 It’s official, Obama’s policies have been rejected in the United States as witnessed by the shellacking taken during the 2010 midterm election and rejected overseas.  Obama’s trip overseas is looked upon as a failure as The One struck out looking. Obama claimed that this trip over seas was not to escape the aftermath of the political carnage of the midterm elections, but instead to “to bring jobs to the United States”. His trip has become what his presidency has also become … a total failure.

Washington Post Says Obama … “To be a Great President, Obama should not Seek Reelection in 2012″

Obama, One Term “One”-der.

YIKES … The Washington Post says … One and done: To be a great president, Obama should not seek reelection in 2012. What, in order for Obama to be a great President, the One is not supposed to seek reelection. Obama is supposed to put national interests ahead of personal or political ones. Fat chance this is going to ever happen. 

Obama put country ahead of himself, since when has he done this during his Presidency? Doug  Schoen and Pat Caddell were pretty much the only Democrats who properly predicted the political tsunami about to hit the Democrats; however, Obama stepping down to be a great President … not going to happen. How ironic, “Hope & Change” can only exist if Obama is the change.

In recent days, he has offered differing visions of how he might approach the country’s problems. At one point, he spoke of the need for “mid-course corrections.” At another, he expressed a desire to take ideas from both sides of the aisle. And before this month’s midterm elections, he said he believed that the next two years would involve “hand-to-hand combat” with Republicans, whom he also referred to as”enemies.”

It is clear that the president is still trying to reach a resolution in his own mind as to what he should do and how he should do it.

This is a critical moment for the country. From the faltering economy to the burdensome deficit to our foreign policy struggles, America is suffering a widespread sense of crisis and anxiety about the future. Under these circumstances, Obama has the opportunity to seize the high ground and the imagination of the nation once again, and to galvanize the public for the hard decisions that must be made. The only way he can do so, though, is by putting national interests ahead of personal or political ones.

Case of Missing Zahra Claire Baker in North Carolina … Police Recover “Valuable Evidence” … Could it be Human Remains? (UPDATE: Police Make Confirmation)

GRUSOME … DID INVESTIGATORS FIND HUMAN REMAIN …

Zahra Claire Baker had been reported missing in Hickory, North Carolina on October 9, 2010. The story of the disappearance sounded fishy from the outset.  Along the way the investigation has run into more bizarre, sick and reprehensible discoveries that has shocked and disgusted a nation. Zahra Backer, a 10 year old, hearing impared girl with a prosthetic leg due to bone cancer was missing and it did not take a professional investigator to point an accusatory finger back to the parents.

After more than a month of searching, grim news has come from investigators as possible human remains might have been found. The police are referring to it as “Valuable Evidence”. The evidence was located after investigators searched a location  reportedly suggested by Zahra’s stepmother, Elisa Baker. The stepmother is presently in jail as she was arrested after Zahra was reported missing on  unrelated charges of communicating threats, writing worthless checks, larceny and driving with a revoked license. She has also been since charged with felony obstruction of justice for writing a fake ransom note.

Investigators said that search teams in Caldwell County found evidence during a search of Gunpowder Creek, about 70 miles outside Charlotte, that “could provide valuable information in the Zahra Baker case.” Officials said the area, which has been searched before, was one of the locations that Elisa Baker suggested search crews look, CBS affiliate WBTV reported.

The evidence has been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s office in Chapel Hill. From there it will be sent to the State Bureau of Investigation’s lab for DNA testing, according to the station.

How does a little girl who survived two bouts with cancer that cost her hearing and leg only to wind up missing, murdered and worse? The system failed Zahra Claire Baker on every count. Who was looking out for Zahra? This case is so sick and twisted, sadly it will probably get worse. This henious case so reminds me of  3 year old, developmentally disabled, autistic boy, Marcus Fiesel, who was first reported missing only to find out he was murdered by his foster parents and burned. That case had the same issue of not passing the smell test as we told the Middletown Journal.

There are Web sites that feature photo albums, message boards, chat rooms and slide and video shows. One of those is www.scaredmonkeys.com, dedicated to exploited and missing children. “Red,” one of the site’s co-founders, said after news of Marcus’ disappearance was linked to his Web site, he received an e-mail from Marcus’ foster mother. She chastised the site for their portrayal.

“As soon as she did that, well, it was like, she’s guilty,” Red said Friday from his office in Maine. “You knew this was going to end bad. The radar just went up. It raises the hair on the back of your neck. When you kill your son, and go public pleading for help, it brings it to a special level of hell.”

He said Marcus’ story has drawn widespread coverage because people are so “disgusted by it.”

From the outset, the case of missing 10 year old Zahra Clare Baker had the same ick factor. There is  also a special place in hell for those that murdered Zahra.

UPDATE: POLICE CONFIRM REMAINS FOUND ARE ZAHRA

Police in Hickory, NC have confirmed that every one’s worst and suspected fears have come to fruition. The remains recently recovered were that of missing 10 year old Zahra Baker.

Grim police trying to solve the disappearance of a 10-year-old North Carolina girl confirmed Friday what they’ve long suspected: The freckle-faced child with a prosthetic leg and bone cancer is dead.

But the mystery of how Zahra Baker perished deepened as authorities gave a terse briefing, revealing that one of her bones was found five miles away from other remains they believe belonged to the girl.

“I’ve been dreading this moment from early on in the investigation,” said Hickory Police Chief Tom Adkins, who explained that investigators matched the bone with the child’s DNA. “We have recovered enough physical evidence to think we have found Zahra.”

Nancy Pelosi stated that President Barack Hussein Obama must be “PERFECT” to win reelection in 2012. It is yet just another reason why the GOP is giddy over the fact that Pelosi wants to become the Democrat minority leader and the continued face of the Democrat party in the House after she has the gavel ripped from her hands following the 60+ GOP seat gain.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi told Democratic leaders Wednesday afternoon that President Barack Obama has to be “perfect” to win a second term, several senior Democratic aides told Roll Call.

Pelosi told leaders on a conference call that Obama will have problems running for re-election because of the loss of governorships in Ohio, Pennsylvania and other states, several aides said. The soon-to-be-ex-Speaker also said House Democrats have many opportunities to take back 25 House seats and win back the majority, aides said.

Pelosi claims that Obama will win in 2012. Really Nancy, because your predictions of holding on to the House after the 2010 midterm elections were spot on. Obama … Perfect … Hardly! As stated at Weasel Zippers, Obama will be a “One Termer” or as we call him a “One Term One-der”.  

Pelosi’s spokesman said Wednesday that the Speaker believes Obama will win. “The call was about the lame-duck session, and the Speaker believes that the president will be re-elected in 2012 and has said so on numerous occasions,” spokesman Nadeam Elshami said.

Nancy Pelosi might want to worry about hanging on to her own position of power with in the Democrat party these days. As for her reference to “perfection”, the Democrats and Obama have been as far away from perfection as it gets lately. As referenced at the Gateway Pundit, its not perfection that Obama has to deal with, it is the loss of Governors and +680 state legislators to the GOP that should be the concern for 2012.

Even the New York Times called the last minute failure to seal a trade deal with South Korea that would expand American exports  an “embarrassing setback”. Heck, even Chris Farley as Tommy Boy  sold enough brake pads to keep the Callahan business going.

For President Obama, the last-minute failure to seal a trade deal with South Korea that would expand American exports of automobiles and beef is an embarrassing setback that deprives him of a foreign policy trophy and demonstrates how the midterm elections may have weakened his position abroad.

U.S. and South Korea Fail to Agree on Trade (November 12, 2010) Mr. Obama has made free trade a central theme of his 10-day mission to Asia.From Seoul to Washington, business leaders, foreign policy analysts and diplomats were convinced that the president would wrap up the accord during a meeting with President Lee Myung-bak of South Korea on Thursday. Instead, the two leaders emerged empty-handed, arriving at their joint news conference to say that they had instructed their negotiators to keep at it a little while longer.

“We need to make sure that over the next several weeks, we are crossing all the t’s, dotting all the i’s, being able to make the case to both the Korean people and the United States population that this is good for both countries,” said Mr. Obama, who is in Seoul for the Group of 20 conference. “And if we rush something that then can’t garner popular support, that’s going to be a problem. We think we can make the case, but we want to make sure that that case is airtight.”

The Plane Facts: John Boehner to Fly Commercial as House Speaker … Parks Nancy Pelosi’s Over Priced Air Force Jet

The GOP changes begin to differentiate the new House from Pelosi’s old one …

Soon to be House Speaker, John Boehner (R-OH) makes a symbolic gesture to show that the GOP got the message from the 2010 midterm elections. Boehner says he will fly commercial, rather than use the Air Force jet formerly used by Speaker Pelosi. Many had speculated what Boehner would do with Peloi’s lavish air travel in a time when most Americans could not even afford coach air fare. Out of control and wasteful government spending was obviously on the minds of voters in the 2010 midterm elections.   The “plane” fact is … the GOP looks to change many House rules.

Boehner’s decision would be a change in protocol from Nancy Pelosi and her predecessor, former Speaker Dennis Hastert, who usually flew back and forth to their home states in whichever Air Force aircraft was available for their use, typically a 12-seat jet.

Beyond changing travels arrangements, Boehner also said he wants the House of Representatives to be more open and transparent than in years past. To tackle that job, he has tapped Rep. Greg Walden to lead a group of GOP members to propose changes to House rules and procedures. The group began meeting Tuesday and will keep talking throughout the week.

Following the midterm election according to Gallup, John Boehner’s approval image has improved but Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s has not. Boehner is viewed favorably by 34%, up from 27% in mid-October. Many still do not know who Boehner is; however, they certainly know Reid, who has high disapproval ratings. Makes one wonder what the people of Nevada were tinking to reelect him back to the US Senate.

Americans’ opinions of House Republican Leader John Boehner, who is in line to be the speaker of the House in the new Congress, improved after the midterm elections. Though 4 in 10 Americans are still unfamiliar with Boehner, more Americans now rate him positively than negatively, a shift from three prior 2010 readings, including one taken in mid-October.

 As the Hot Air Pundit says, would we ever see Pelosi travel with the common folk as Speaker? Not on your live, “not even if they were giving away free Botox”.

Amazon.com has the audacity to sell a digital book entitled “The Pedophile’s Guide to Love and Pleasure: A Child-Lover’s Code of Conduct”. That is correct. Amazon is peddling a “guide to” book on child exploitation. Isn’t that special. Might I add, Amazon.com is under fire and getting an earful from irate individuals. No one should shop on Amazon until they take this horrid book off their site. Newsflash Amazon … this is the PR you want just in time for the Christmas holidays?

Online retail giant Amazon was under fire on Wednesday for selling a self-published digital book called “The Pedophile’s Guide to Love and Pleasure.”

The reviews page for the book, by a Phillip R. Greaves and available for Amazon’s Kindle electronic reader, was deluged with criticism of the Seattle, Washington-based Amazon for offering it for sale.

Amazon.com should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. It is hard to know where even to begin with the outrage. The digital book,  ”The Pedophile’s Guide to Love and Pleasure: A Child-Lover’s Code of Conduct”, at first sounds like a joke. However, sadly this is deadly serious. Let’s see if we have this correct, “A Child-Lover’s Code of Conduct”? CODE OF CONDUCT???!!!??? The following is what the e-book is supposed to do. RULES FOR SICK PREVERTED PEDOPHILES TO FOLLOW? Did I miss something, isn’t the sexual exploitation of children by an adult illegal?
