November 11, 2010 – VETERANS DAY … Thank You for Your Service to Protect our Freedoms … “Real American Hero’s”
VETERANS DAY 2010 … THANK YOU!
Freedom is never free … A special thank you to the brave men and women who have and presently protect our freedoms. THANK YOU!!! There are never enough things that can be said for the appreciation that we can bestow upon all of your for your sacrifice and duty to the United States. Take time today to thank a soldier.
Thank you to the men and woman who have served in the Armed Forces and the sacrifices that both you and your families have made to protect out freedoms. Thank you to those that are presently fighting abroad. A special thanks to the families of our brave military.
So often we take the past and present service of our brave men and women of the Armed Forces for granted. Know, that these individuals fight for peace, fight for freedom and fight for the very liberties that you and I enjoy every day.
God Bless the men and woman of our Armed Forces both past and present.

“Real American Heroes” ~*~ Thank You All for keeping us safe.
REMEMBER: The price of our “Freedom”-it’s never really free.
God Bless The USA
and God Bless our past, present & future Vets!
Thank you does not seem enough for the brave women and men who preserve and fight for our freedom.
As a daughter of a Veteran, I thank you ~
May God keep our men and women who are serving us now safe ~ those who are abroad, free from harm and bring them home safely ~ and our veterans who are home ~ may they feel the appreciation and deep respect we have for them.
Blessings to them all.
Kitty, I agree! We owe our lives and our freedom to our Vet’s , when you see a Vet, think about this, that person was willing to give their life for freedom. Wow that is powerful. Now we need to get our people out of Afgan, it is another Vietnam .
REMEMBRANCE DAY – CANADA
VETERANS DAY – USA
written in 1915 by John McCrae
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Flanders, in north-west Belgium, was the scene of one of the bloodiest battles of the World War I. One of the few things said to have survived the bloodshed was the poppy. Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrea, a Canadian doctor serving on the battlefield, wrote this poem after treating the battle wounded and burying the dead.
Thank you guys so much.
Please don’t every turn on us if you ever got an order to do so.
Things are so much like the times of Hitler.
If you don’t think so read the exe. orders Bush an “O” have in place to take us over using our miltary or foreign troops and placing us in FEMA camps dotted all over this land.

riiigggghhhhttttt
…you have ZERO concept of the “times of Hitler”, Dolf.
Nor can you take away the pride we have in these, the proud men and women of the Amred services and the pride that WE have in them.
So I would humbly suggest that you keep your paranoia at bay and honor our brave protectors of Democracy, for they are the ones that allow you to post your unwarranted fears and concerns without repercussions by the government.
In short…GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!
I apologize for the grammatical errors of my previous post as I pushed the button too soon, but the meaning of it stays intact!
You tell em, St. Stephen
Dolf is a Euro Stalker who likes to come on SM and post his various opinions. Of course, in the land of the FREE and the HOME OF THE BRAVE, he is entitled to those.
Basically, the day he becomes an AMERICAN CITIZEN is the day I will give a shit what he says. LOL
I also forgot to say thank you to those who fought and died for our country ~ having attended 2 funerals for soldiers who died last year and this, it saddened me immensely that these brave men died way too young… were loved dearly and we will never forget those who gave their lives in the past wars either… bless these brave men and women ~ and bless those who have come home maimed and are dealing with ptsd and many after affects war brings, besides unemployment, increase in suicide ~ we are praying for them and their families, bless…
and yes, we need to bring them home ~ and our Gvt’ needs to take better care of our veterans.
@14 NGBoston
…of course Dolf can thank our troops for the freedom he enjoys in his country as well.
World Wars I and II were fought courageously by our troops there and , I might add, had a big hand in pushing back totalitarianism and the “times of Hitler” that he so glibly speaks about!
no I was wondering why Steve would bring up Hitler in this way.
familymembers died in ww2 by the hand of the Germans.
My grandfather had US friends (soldiers) die in Europe
So yes, I feel that that is insulting.
(and fyi: US ww2 vets are highly respected here)
and why would I want to be a US citizen.
my Dutch nationality gives much more advantages.
and I think that we in Europe are a bit more aware what happened during ww2.
