When asked who was his greatest living American, Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s response was as follows, Ted Kennedy and Robert Byrd. WHAT???

And Robert Byrd who just died. What a– he was in the Congress of the United States for more than 25 percent of the time that we have been a country. That’s fairly remarkable.”

Am I missing something, didn’t the interviewer ask for his greatest “living” American? Um, Senator Reid, “living” defined as like “alive” and nor dead. Harry Reid in turn responds with the name of two “non-living” Americans. Actually, if Harry Reid did not listen to the will of the people with Obamacare, why would he actually bother to listen to the questions of an interviewer? The second Obamacare was passed, a majority of Americans wanted it repealed and still do.

By the way, no wonder Democrats were sending stimulus checks to the dead, they appear not to know the difference between living and non-living. It really goes to show that Reid just says what ever on his mind and does not listen. Take note voters of Nevada, he cannot hear you and refuses to.

Can you imagine how the MSM would have reacted if GWB or Sarah Palin answered the question as Reid did? It would be front page fodder and the opening TV news story.

Independent US Senate Candidate Charlie Crist … OMG He Throws Like an Obama … No Wonder Republican Marco Rubio is Cleaning his Clock in Polls by Double Digits

ARE YOU SERIOUS … YOU THROW LIKE AN OBAMA.

What a desperate, pandering attempt on Charlie Crist’s part to the FLA voters to throw the ball so far inside to show that he was way right as a candidate, wink, wink. I hope this was not Crist’s attempt as a last ditch effort to impress the Florida voters.

Charlie Crist’s attempt at throwing out the first pitch an the Ray’s game might have finally sealed his fate in the Florida US Senate race. It might have been the worst and most embarrassing first pitch ever in a game. He even topped his pal Barack Obama. No wonder the Rays lost to the Rangers in game two of the ALDS. What is more embarrassing, Crist’s pitch or his polling numbers?

Is it any wonder after watching that pitch why Republican Marco Rubeo is destroying both Crist (I) and Meek (D) in the polls. In teh most recent Rasmussen poll, Rubio is now far out ahead of his two rivals as he has hit the 50% mark … RUBIO (R) 50%, CRIST (I) 25% and MEEK (D) 19%.

Coming off a contentious televised debate, Republican Marco Rubio has now jumped to a two-to-one lead over Independent candidate Charlie Crist in Florida’s U.S. Senate race. Democratic Congressman Kendrick Meek still runs third.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Florida shows Rubio with 50% of the vote, up nine points from just over a week ago and his best showing in the race to date. Support for Crist, the state’s current GOP governor, has fallen to a new low of 25%, while Meek captures 19%. Three percent (3%) like another candidate in the race, and three percent (3%) more are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

You know what they say about birds of a feather and water seeking its own levelRemeber how patheticallty bad Barack Obama’s attempt was as well at trying the first pitch? How ironic Obama’s was inside and extremely LEFT. However, just like Obama’s job approval numbers, Crist is finished in the US Florida Senate race.

UPDATE I:Is Crist and Democrats looking to play dirty politics in order to get anyone but Rubio elected? Will Meek drop out to help pave the way for Crist? How pathetic is Crist? He drops out of the Republican primary because he was losing by double digits to Rubio, after he had stated he was going to only run as a Republican. Now as an Independent his campaign is going no where so he needs the Democrat to drop out to have a chance. UNREAL! To the Independents and Republicans in Florida that actually might vote for this politically hack, can you see now that he is nothing more than a Democrat?

Meanwhile, Mr. Crist is striving to assemble a center-left coalition by winning over Democratic voters. His latest mailing throughout the state was titled “Ten Reasons Democrats Should Vote for Charlie Crist.” On issues from health care to taxes, Mr. Crist has moved dramatically to the left.

Mr. Crist has also refused to say which party he would caucus with if he wins. His latest nonanswer: “I will caucus with the people.” But Mr. Crist has met privately with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, adding to GOP paranoia that Democrats may be getting ready to throw the sure loser Mr. Meek over the side. One Republican Party leader tells me he wouldn’t be surprised to hear suddenly that “Meek was offered an ambassadorship from Barack Obama.”

Didn’t the Democrats learn their lesson with lame duck US Senator Arlen Specter? However, according to the Weekly Standard, Meek denies the rumors. If Democrats pull such a stunt as to have Meek step down, I find it hard to believe that the Florida voters would take to kindly to this type of sleazy political games. As states at Hot Air, it is too late to take Meek’s name off the ballot. In an environment where political game playing is not looked upon kindly by the voters, such a Democrat stunt will merely prove correct what Rubio has been saying all along, he is the only candidate who is running as a Republican and against Obama’s policies and agenda.

The California Governors race has been reduced to the Democrat Jerry Brown’s campaign calling republican challenger Meg Whitman a WHORE!!! Really.  First we have the politically convenient sliming of Whitman with Gloria Allred and the sudden appearance of illegal immigrant maid Nicky Diaz who would risk deportation over trumped up allegations against Whitman. Now we have class personified of Brown’s campaign, males might I add, calling Meg Whitman a whore. As the Left Coast Liberal aptly states, and they should know because those Democrats are experts are whores.

We are waiting for a comment from NOW condemning the actions of  Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown’s campaign. After all, does the National Organization of Woman not try and stop such demeaning treatment of woman? Whitman’s campaign released the following, “The use of the term ‘whore’ is an insult to both Meg Whitman and to the women of California. This is an appalling and unforgivable smear against Meg Whitman”. NOW, we are waiting … Oh the hypocrisy.

2010 Midterm Elections:More Bad News for Democrats, CBS Polls Shows Republican Gains in Generic Congressional Poll

Grim polling data for Democrats …

Just 25 days out from the 2010 midterm elections and the Democrats have more bad polling news. According to a new CBS poll, 45% now state they will vote for the GOP in this years midterm election, while only 37% say they will vote for Democrats. This represents a 6% gain for Republicans over Democrats since last month.

Republicans have widened their lead against Democrats among likely voters in the generic ballot for the House of Representatives by six points since last month, a new CBS News Poll reports.

Republicans now hold an eight point lead over Democrats in the generic ballot, with 45 percent of likely voters saying they would support the Republican candidate for the House, and 37 percent saying they would support the Democrat. Last month Republicans led Democrats by a margin of only 2 points, with 40 percent saying they would vote for a Republican and 38 percent saying they would vote for a Democrat.

As the elections get closer, it is rather interesting how more truthful the polls become. No one in the end wants to have skewed results, even if they did most of the year leading up to the elections. This CBS poll is no different. They are all starting to look the same, which spells doom for Democrats.

What is the Democrats worst nightmare this election cycle … the economy and Obama’s poor job of handling it. As this CBS poll further points out, Obama’s poll numbers on handling the economy are dismal and lower than last month. Only 38% approve of Obama’s handling of the economy, while 50% oppose. This poll was taken before the September job numbers which were again a disaster.

… his ratings on the economy are lower than ever before: 38 percent of respondents approved of his handling of the issue, while 50 percent disapproved. Last month, 41 percent approved, and 51 percent disapproved.

As CBS cannot fudge the hideous poll numbers anymore for Obama or Democrats, they look to go after the Tea Party instead as seen at News Busters. How original, more bias in the liberal MSM.

However, as much as the MSM and Democrats want to spin it just 25 days from the 2010 midterm elections, there is no resurgence in Democrat enthusiasm. Try as Obama might in begging the LEFT to the polls, the answer is no. Republicans by a wide margin look to head to the polls in 2010 and Independents favor the GOP by a 20% margin as well.

But while Democrats have lately been making widespread efforts to diminish the so-called “enthusiasm gap” between Republican and Democratic voters, the poll, which was conducted from October 1 – 5, indicates that the gap has in fact expanded. Sixty percent of Republicans said they were more enthusiastic than usual about voting this year, while only 40 percent of Democrats said the same. Last month, 47 Democrats and 58 percent of Republicans said they were more excited than usual to vote.

At forty-nine percent, Independents are now more enthusiastic than Democrats, the poll indicates.

But according to the poll, Independents are largely dissatisfied with their choices in the upcoming election: While they favor Republicans by a 20 point margin, 61 percent of Independents polled said they wished there were other options on the ballot.

Bring Out Your Dead … 72,000 Obama Stimulus Payments Went to Dead People

In just another example of the waste and ineptitude of “Big Government”, it is being reorted that SSA, Social Security Administration,has sent  89,000 Democrat and Obama approved stimulus checks of $250 were sent to either individuals that were dead or in prison. NICE!!! Of these checks, 72,000 were sent to the dead.  To make matters worse, an additional $4.3 million went to more than 17,000 prison inmates. Just how incompetent is this government? These are the people that talk about taking oout the waste and fraud in Medicare and Medicaid? Maybe they might want to look in the mirror first.

The payments, which were part of last year’s massive economic recovery package, were meant to increase consumer spending to help stimulate the economy.

But about $18 million went to nearly 72,000 people who were dead, according to the report by the Social Security Administration’s inspector general. The report estimates that a little more than half of those payments were returned.

An additional $4.3 million went to more than 17,000 prison inmates, the report said. Most of the inmates, it turns out, were eligible to get the payments because they were newly incarcerated and had been receiving Social Security before they were locked up.

Only half of the checks sent to the dead have been returned. Get this as stated at No Sheeple Here, The Social Security Administration says that the stimulus package didn’t include a provision allowing it to try to retrieve funds that were mistakenly sent out, so it can’t try to retrieve the money. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. These are the folks you want in charge of your health care, eh? They made no provisions for contingency situations and thought all of this would just go like clockwork. A question to all, when does government operate like clockwork?

“This report highlights the broader problems with the Recovery Act itself,” said Coburn, in a statement. “At a time like now, when nearly $350 billion in waste, fraud and abuse in the federal government annually has been reported and our national debt closing in on $13.5 trillion, these findings represent the epitome of congressional stupidity and a total disregard for accountability.”

SHOCKER!!! Nobel Peace Prize Awarded and not to Obama … This Time a Deserving Recipient, Jailed Chinese Dissident Liu Xiaobo

Nobel Peace Prize vs. China … Finally Nobel gets it right!

The Nobel Peace Prize committee finally gets it right this year and awards the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize to jailed Chinese, political and human rights activist Liu Xiaobo. The 2010 Nobel Peace Prize winner presently sits in a Chinese jail and is currently serving an 11-year term on subversion charges. Kudos to the Nobel Peace Prize committee for actually make a controversial choice in picking a winner for all the right reasons. It is about time some one stood up to China and their horrific treatment to people.

Liu Xiaobo, an impassioned literary critic, political essayist and democracy advocate repeatedly jailed by the Chinese government for his writings, won the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday in recognition of “his long and nonviolent struggle for fundamental human rights in China.”

Mr. Liu, 54, perhaps China’s best known dissident, is currently serving an 11-year term on subversion charges.

Needless to say, the Chinese government is not happy with the decision. Not in the least. It is about time some one stood up to China and called them for what they really are. In awarding the Peace Prize to Liu Xiaobo, the committee for the first time in a long time got it 100% correct and should be applauded. Although their statement below has some PC platitudes in it to China, it is nice to see some one actually stand up to this Communist, humna rights violators instead of just bowing to them.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry reacted angrily to the news, calling it a “blasphemy” to the Peace Prize and saying it would harm Norwegian-Chinese relations. “Liu Xiaobo is a criminal who has been sentenced by Chinese judicial departments for violating Chinese law,” it said in a statement.

In their statement in Olso announcing the prize, the committee noted that China, now the world’s second-biggest economy, should be commended for lifting hundreds of millions of people out of poverty and for broadening the scope of political participation. But they chastised the government for ignoring freedoms guaranteed in the Chinese Constitution. [editors note: "lifting hundreds of millions of people out of poverty", really? Have they seen the slave and near slave labor wages in China? I guess they have not hear of FoxxConn.]

“In practice, these freedoms have proved to be distinctly curtailed for China’s citizens,” the statement said, adding, “China’s new status must entail increased responsibility.”

Nobel was obviously making up for last years ridiculous choice. Last year, it was bad enough that Obama was nominated, but to win? Sadly, the committee make a mockery of the award last year and gave it to Barack Obama, a man who had literally accomplished nothing. It was such a joke that Obama had won the award last year that even SNL could not resist the satire.

Interestingly enough, Barack Obama has seemed to be left off the Nobel Prize list of nominee for economic this year. A collective America with record debt, record food stamp recipients and an unemployment rate that is supposed to rise once again later this morning wonders why.

VP Joe Biden Once Again Influencing People and Making Friends … “You’re the dullest audience I’ve ever spoken to”

Biden at it again …

President Barack Obama and VP Joe Biden have finally found the winning combination to getting their base out to vote for the 2010 midterm elections … insult them.

Biden said to an audience in Wisconsin, “You’re the dullest audience I’ve ever spoken to.” And the Dems wonder why there is an enthusiasm gap with the GOP. Go figure, you have a Democrat VP telling you about jobs you lost and some how that is supposed to be inspiring and uplifting. What must Democrat Governors, House and Senate candidates be thinking. We have a President that is so toxic we cannot even reference his name or policies, let alone have him campaign directly and a VP who is such a goof and court jester that votes go out the window every time he opens his mouth. At least this time he only called the audience dull, he didn’t tell them to stop whining.

Vice President Joe Biden got a laugh from his audience at a Wisconsin fundraising event Thursday when he tried to rile the crowd about the economic collapse of 2008.

“We want to reward people who manufacture things in the United States, in Wisconsin, not to take them overseas to China and to other countries!” he said to a silent room at the event for Democratic gubernatorial nominee Tom Barrett, according to a White House pool report.

He continued, saying, “You’re the dullest audience I’ve ever spoken to,” at which point he got applause and laughs. “Do you realize how many jobs Wisconsin lost? It’s staggering!”

Biden and President Obama have made frequent campaign stops in recent weeks in an attempt to jolt Democrats who are lagging Republicans in voter enthusiasm measures, in part due to the slowing pace of the economic recovery under the administration’s watch.

At least he didn’t make any of the Democrat donors in the audience stand up and take a bow who were in wheelchairs. I guess the VP is growing into his role.
