Michelle & Barack Obama Party All the Time: More White House Party Events While Rome Burns … they Blame that to on GWB Too
With the Obama presidency, if it is not a vacation or round of golf, it is a party at the White House for these folks as Rome US economy burns. Get this, they even blame George W. Bush for this as well. The Obama’s just like to party all the time …
With the economy slowing, few jobs being created, unemployment at 9.6%, record number of people on food stamps and in poverty, home mortgages failing at record rates, housing prices down and record federal debt and deficits, what is Marie Antoinette and King Louie Michelle and Barack Obama doing, having more parties and gala events at the White House of course.
Then again, it’s not like any Democrats running for office in this upcoming 2010 midterm election want the toxic President any where near their election.
My girl wants to party all the time
Party all the time
Party all the time.
My girl wants to party all the time
Party all the time.
She parties all the time – party all the time
She likes to party all the time – party all the time
Party all the time – she likes to party all the time
Party all the time.
It is not so bad that the President & First Lady are honoring college student athletes, the issue is that they feel the need to have a GWB disclaimer for the event. Does any one ever remember Bush making such a reference about Clinton? Did everyone catch the following lines in the announcement below, “first held by former President George W. Bush”?Why would anyone feel the need to add such a statement unless they Obama’s were trying to justify why they were having lavish events in times of economic hard times? Once again, they are blaming W, this time for having student athletes be honored at the WH.
President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama have a packed social schedule this week, with two major galas and a reception for college athletes.
On Monday evening, the president will welcome collegiate star athletes to the White House for a reception at 5:45 p.m. The annual event, first held by former President George W. Bush, recognizes outstanding student athletes in more than a dozen sports, including field-hockey, lacrosse, and volleyball. Neither of Obama’s alma maters, Columbia University and Harvard University, made the grade.
On Wednesday the First Couple will don black tie for the annual Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute gala, one of the more entertaining political galas of the Washington fall season. A number of entertainers are being honored with awards, including Eva Longoria Parker, five-time Grammy winner Arturo Sandoval, and musician Sheila E. Also participating in the festivities will be Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
Hopefully the Obamas get some rest Thursday or Friday, because they will be back in formalwear on Saturday night for the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s (CBCF) annual Phoenix Awards dinner. The dinner will mark the culmiantion of the foundation’s 40th Annual Legislative Conference.
Maybe Michelle and Barack would rather prefer the Black Eyed Peas version of “Party all the Time”. In any event, they certainly did not use the precursor of this event was ”first held by former President George W. Bush” when Michelle Obama vacationed in Spain like life styles of the rich and famous now did they.
I would ask our fellow brethren and bloggers in arms at Weasel Zippers, do we really want Obama doing any workl these days and messing us the country even more? PJ Media has Barack reliving his glory days of college.

Austan Goolsbee, Obama’s New Chairman of the CEA: Unemployment Not Coming Down Anytime Soon
More bad economic news from Obama’s minions and then would not even commit to an answer …
More non-encouraging news from the Obama Administration, Austan Goolsbee, the new chairman of the Council of Economic Affairs (CEA) said on FNS that the unemployment rate would not be coming down any time soon. To make matters even worse, on ABC’s ‘This Week’ broadcast Sept. 12, 2010, Goolsbee would not say how many jobs would be created by the $50 billion second stimulus plan.
President Obama’s new chairman of the Council of Economic Affairs (CEA) said Sunday that the national unemployment rate will not decrease significantly anytime soon.
Austan Goolsbee, who Obama announced on Friday will replace Christina Romer as head of the CEA, told “Fox News Sunday” that the president is doing all he can to help the economy, but the recession was so deep, it will take some time for employment numbers to recover.
“I don’t think the unemployment rate will be coming down significantly at any time in the near future,” Goolsbee said.
Unemployment for the nation reached 9.6 percent in August, and Goolsbee and other White House officials regularly concede they expect it to get worse before it gets better.
Is it any wonder why in the most recent Rasmussen poll, 48% of American voters gave Barack Obama poor marks on the economy. Just the other day an AP poll showed that Obama was at an all time low at 41% in handling the economy. Thus the reason why Obama’s job approval rating is like most people’s mortgages …. underwater.
But 48% of voters still say the president is doing a poor job when it comes to handling the economy, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.
Thirty-six percent (36%) rate the president’s performance on the economic front as good or excellent.
With unemployment not coming down anytime soon, look for Democrats to get hammered in the 2010 midterm elections. It’s pretty bad when ahead of the election the WH feels the need to put out there that there is no job relief coming any time soon in the foreseeable future. Imagine just how bad the job numbers really are?

The Obama Economy Welcome to Obamaville: The Number of People on Poverty to Post Record Gain Under Obama’s Watch
Welcome to Hooverville, Obamaville …
America, how is that “Hopey,Changey” thing working out for you? According to estimates tracking poverty trends in 2009, they likely to show a significant rate increase to the range of 14.7 percent to 15 percent. If that is the case, some 45 million people would have been considered poor in the United States. This is unacceptable.
Should those estimates hold true, some 45 million people in this country, or more than 1 in 7, were poor last year. It would be the highest single-year increase since the government began calculating poverty figures in 1959. The previous high was in 1980 when the rate jumped 1.3 percentage points to 13 percent during the energy crisis.
Barack Obama and Democrats do not have a clue as to what they are doing or how to create an environment to fix the economy and create jobs. Unemployment rates are at 9.6% and rising, which does not even begin to count discouraged workers who have all but given up on seeking employment. Also under Obama there is a record number of people on food stamps. The $787 billion stimulus was a complete epic failure, now Obama looks to spend another $50 billion stimulus and increase the already existing record federal deficits.

Barack Obama: We Were Attacked on 9-11 by a “Sorry Band of Men”, Not Radical Islam
UNREAL! AMERICA IS AT WAR WITH A SORRY BAND OF MEN?
If it looks like a radical Muslim terrorist, acts like a a radical Muslim terrorist and kills like a a radical Muslim terrorost, Barack Hussein Obama thinks it is a “sorry band of men. Who is the sorry one?
Meet Obama’s band of sorry men … don’t they look like radical Islamic terrorists America?
Nine years after the 9-11 attacks on America and the deaths of nearly 3000 innocent lives, President Barack Hussein Obama provides a speech commemorating the tragedy as if is was September 10, 2001. In Obama’s speech at the Pentagon on Saturday, September 11, 2010 he stated that America was not at war with Islam, we were at war with a “sorry band of men”. WHAT, HOW DISGRACEFUL A COMMENT TO MAKE ON 9-11! No Mr. President, we are not at war with Islam, we are at war with RADICAL ISLAM! The fact that you cannot call them for what they are, radical Islamic terrorist is pathetic.
At least Obama did not call them “freedom fighters’ or Robin Hood and his band of Merry Men. Good grief!
President Obama stressed that America was not at war with Islam as he decried the “sorry band of men” who attacked the nation nine years ago in memorial ceremonies at the Pentagon on Saturday.
“The perpetrators of this evil act didn’t simply attack America; they attacked the very idea of America itself — all that we stand for and represent in the world,” Obama said. “And so the highest honor we can pay those we lost, indeed our greatest weapon in this ongoing war, is to do what our adversaries fear the most — to stay true to who we are, as Americans; to renew our sense of common purpose; to say that we define the character of our country, and we will not let the acts of some small band of murderers who slaughter the innocent and cower in caves distort who we are.”
Actually President Obama, the sorry band of men/women have become you and the Democrat party who have so gone against the will of the American people and seem to only want to provoke Americans, not listen to them. This is the reason why your poll numbers are in the tank and Democrats will most certainly lose the House and possibly the US Senate in the 2010 midterm elections.
Then we have Barack Obama stating that 9-11 should be a day of national service and remembrance. A national day of service? Full text of speech. Why, so that Americans cannot focus on the brutal and senseless murders of 3000 people at the hands of a “sorry band of men” who happen to be radical Islamic, Muslim terrorist?
UPDATE I: Barack Obama makes appeal for tolerance on 9-11.
Yesterday during his speech at the Pentagon, Barack Hussein Obama made an appeal that America to embrace the values of diversity and tolerance. Um, Mr. President … since when did not America do so? Following 9-11, this country was more than diverse and tolerant. Did we see Muslims put in intermentcamps like the Japanese in WWII? Did we see the random acts of violence and murder of Muslims following 9-11 that would have most likely occurred in every other country in the world? Hell, some one draws a cartoon of Mohammad and they are murdered in the name of Islam, 3000 people are killed on 9-11 and there was no retaliation. NONE of any relevance! So what diversity and tolerance do you speak of? Maybe you might want to take your own advice before you preach to others.

Remembering September 11, 2001 … 9-11-2001: We Shall Never Forget, Please Do Not Ever Forget
AMERICA, HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN … PLEASE DON’T
Do not ever let anyone tell you that it an act of intolerance to remember what happened on September11, 2001. The United States is the most tolerant country ever created. We have religious freedom in the United States, which is more than I can say for the many other countries around the world. Maybe folks need to be tolerant and considerate of those who lost so much 9 years ago today? Why don’t we hear that message from the politicians in power? Because in the PC world they live in, they have forgotten. Those who forget then past are destined to repeat it.
Today represents the 9th anniversary of September 11, 2001, a date that will forever live in infamy and a day that should never be forgotten. While watching the news coverage and video footage this morning a tear came to my eye and that same horrible feeling that I felt 9 years ago. I remember the exact place and thing that I was doing when I heard news that the first plane had hit one of the towers of the World Trade Center. Then the horrible feeling I felt in my stomach as I watched live the second plane crash into the Twin Towers and I knew our world would never be the same again.
Have you forgotten America? Have you forgot what you were doing that fateful day as 3000 of our fellow brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, cousins, grandparents, loved ones and friends died that day? Have you forgot the image of the Muslim terrorist flying hijacked planes into the World Trade Center Twin Towers, not once but twice?
Have you forgotten the scenes of another hijacked plane crashing into the Pentagon? Have you forgotten the image, the sights, the screams and the disbelief of watching the Twin Towers fall and all the life lost? Have you forgot the images of people jumping to their deaths rather than being burned alive? Have you forgotten the bravery of the emergecy rescue workers, police, and firman rushing into the burning buildings to save others and making the ultimate sacrifice?
Michelle Malkin tells us not to forget as well and asks us to remember, ”Remembrance is worthless without resolve. Resolve is useless without action.”
Take a good listen to those that were there when the towers fell, have you forgotten?
Have you forgotten the bravery of those aboard Flight 93 and those who sacrificed their lives in order to save others. These people crashed the plane in a field in Shanksville, PA knowing that other planes had been hijacked and crashed into buildings. Never forget hero Todd Beamer’s last audible words on Flight 93 as he and his fellow hero passengers stormed the cockpit, “Are you guys ready? Let’s roll.”
LET’S ROLL: THE STORY OF FLIGHT 93
Remember the ultimaet victims of 9-11, THE CHILDREN!
Do not ever forget the leadership provided by President George W. Bush when on on the bullhorn he stated to the American people,“I can hear you. The rest of the world hears you. And, the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon.”

September 11, 2001: The Worst Crimes Against Americans In US History- A Memoir On September 11, 2010
At 8 am I was humming up I-287. I had just tuned in the FM to Elvis Duran and the Z Morning Zoo because Howard was discussing his last night’s escapades and as usual, it simultaneously made me blush and wonder who else was listening to it. Siriusly.
Read the rest at Blink on Crime:
US Senate is in Play: The Top 10 Senate Races that Democrats Need to Worry About in 2010
Democrats could lose the US Senate, once unthought of, now a real possibility.
Just curious, when Scott Brown won in Massachusetts in the special election for the seat formerly held by the late Ted Kennedy, why didn’t all people think at that point that it was possible for Republicans to win in any state? The Massachusetts special Senate election represented the shot heard round the world and was the symbol that all things were possible. Think Brown’s victory was a one hit wonder? Not at all,Brown is presently out-polling President Barack Obama and Senator John Kerry (MA-D)
Remember when the political pundits only said that the US House of Representatives was in play and Democrats feared that it could flip and control go back to the Republicans? Less than 60 days from the 2010 midterm elections and now many think that Democrats could lose the US Senate as well.
A terrible economy, near 10% unemployment, no jobs really being created, an unpopular $787 billion stimulus package, and unpopular Obamacare law passed, an unpopular President Obama and a complicit Democrat party that passed numerous laws against the will of the people and the unpopular suing of a state on illegal immigration has all lead to the most improbable outcome … a complete sweep of Senate races and control by the GOP. The following are the top 10 US Senate races that Democrats need to worry about.
1. North Dakota (1): Get ready to ho-down with Republican John Hoeven (R); yes, we’re running out of Hoeven puns. Ranking: Solid GOP. [This race is over Hoeven is up by over 40% in the polls]
2. Delaware (2): Does Mike Castle (R) survive his primary against Christine O’Donnell (R)? The GOP’s likelihood of winning this seat depends on it. Ranking (with Castle as nominee): Probable GOP.[This race is up in the air as who knows who will win the GOP primary? Castle is ahead in polls against the Democrat in a general election; however, he is a RINO at best. Can O'Donnell win the GOP primary, after all she is the real Republican in the race? If she does, can she wil the general election in a blue state?]
3. Arkansas (3): Bill Clinton campaigned this week for incumbent Blanche Lincoln (D), but it’s unlikely to change the dynamics of her race against John Boozman (R). Ranking: Probable GOP. [Probably GOP? Barack Obama has a better chance of providing tax cuts to the rich than Lincoln does of winning, she is down by 38% in the polls.]
4. Indiana (4): Speaking of being able to change the dynamics, Brad Ellsworth (D) hasn’t caught up to Dan Coats (R). Ranking: Probable GOP. [Republican Coats up by 21% over the Democrat, this seat is lost by the Democrats.]
5. Pennsylvania (5): After being dormant for the last couple of months, Joe Sestak’s (D) campaign has become more active, with Biden and Obama set to stump for him later this month. Right now, though, this is Pat Toomey’s (R) race to lose. Ranking: Lean GOP. [Not only is GOP candidate Toomey ahead in the polls, the Republican Gov. candidate Corbett is far outpacing the Democrats. It will be a clean sweep in the Keystone state.]
6. Illinois (7): The Alexi Giannoulias (D)-vs.-Mark Kirk (R) contest remains what we consider to be the truest 50%-50% race out there. Ranking: Toss Up. [Democrat candidate only gets 37% in the polling, hard to imagine that translates to a victory.]
7. Colorado(unranked): The Ken Buck (R)-vs.-Michael Bennet (D) race is close to being a pure 50%-50% race, too. Which force will be greater — the overall political environment, or the GOP’s woes in the state? Ranking: Toss Up. [The Democrat incumbent is only polling at 44%, far below the 50% usually considered needed.]
8. Nevada (8): Now we enter the contests where Democrats might have an advantage by a fingernail. But the Harry Reid (D)-vs.Sharron Angle (R) race is going to close. Fasten your seatbelts. Ranking: Toss Up. [Its a dead heat in Nevada; however, Harry Reid, the Democrat Senate Majority leader is polling below 50%. Do Nevada voters really want more in the same? Even though Reid wants to distance himself from Obama and the economy, Reid has been in lock step with Obama and is completely responsible.]
9. Wisconsin (unranked): As was the case in ‘98, Russ Feingold (D) is fighting for his political life. What makes this time more difficult for him is that this political environment is much different than ’98 was. Ranking: Toss Up. [Incumbent Democrat Feingold trails GOP candidate Johnson in the polls. The fact that a dark blue state like Wisconsin is even being discussed tells us just how much trouble the Democrats are in.]
10. Washington (10):If Republicans indeed catch a wave on Election Night, we’ll be pulling an all-nighter watching the returns from the Patty Murray (D)-vs.-Dino Rossi (R) race. Ranking: Toss Up. [Republican Dina Rossi has a 2% point lead in the post recent Rasmussen poll and incumbent Democrat Patti Murray is polling below 50%. If Washington goes, one would think that Democrats would lose control of the Senate.]
But wait, there is more an an honorable mention of even more states that Democrats have to worry about. Check out California and West Virginia, both also in fear of being lost by Democrats. As stated by First Read, it is quite amazing that Republicans have a better chance of flipping West Virginia’s Senate seat than Democrats have in picking up the one in Ohio.
Check out the Scared Monkeys analysis made in February 2010, seems like some were ahead of the MSM curve. At that point, even before many primaries were complete, we were stating a +9 for Republicans.
Mother Jones importantly notes that there is not one Democrat gain on this list. This is literally unheard of. So many US Senate races and it is only the Democrats that are in fear of having seats flipped on November 2, 2010.
If Democrats think they have an issue in 2010 … 2012 does not appear to be much better. Check out some of the vulnerable races in 2012:
?WV – Robert Byrd is nor longer the Senator, this will be the vote for the 6 year term for whoever wins the 2010 special election.
?ND – Kent Conrad could be the victim of the anti-Obama vote.
?NE – Ben Nelson and the corn husker kickback. Payback will be on the minds of many and he just might be the Blanche Lincoln of 2012.
?FL – Bill Nelson and his preferential Obamacare deal
?VA – Jim Webb in newly “Red” Virginia like what swept Bob McDonnell into office.
?OH – Sherrod Brown in a swing state like Ohio in a Presidential year. How much of the vote against Obama will be a vote against Brown?
?PA – Robert Casey in a swing states that could trend against the incumbent President.
?NY – If Kirsten Gillibrand wins in 2010, will there be a strong GOP candidate like Rudy unseat her in 2012?
Daily Commentary – Friday, September 10th, 2010 – Chicago Politics Get Weirder
- Richard Daley will not run for another term as Mayor, and rumor has it Rahm Emmanuel may run in his place.
Daily Commentary – Friday, September 10th, 2010 – Chicago Politics Get Weirder [1:15m]: | DownloadPresident Barack Hussein Obama: -24 Presidental Index and Falling
How low can President Barack Hussein Obama go? Less than 60 days before the 2010 midterm election and Obama is at -24% in the Rasmussen Presidential Approval Index. Overall, Obama has a 41% job approval rating while 58% disapprove. The ’30′s are right around the corner.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 23% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-seven percent (47%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -24 (see trends).

Quran Burning Called Off, Maybe Not … Move Ground Zero Mosque? … Deal, No Deal
The insanity of the insane …
Can we just preface this by saying that all involved in the Quaran book burning and the Grind Zero Mosque are crazy attention seeking fools with self-serving and evil intentions! Could there be any more insanity from all involved, all in the name of tolerance and God, yea right.
The AP is reporting that theQuran book burning has been called off and the lunatic pastor is saying there is a deal to have the Ground Zero mosque moved. Rut-roh, seems to be some going back on the deal, if there ever was one. Oh, but wait … there is no deal to move the mosque. Gateway Pundit says, “Pastor Terry Jones told reporters tonight that his planned bonfire is back on after he was “lied to” by a local imam.”
The leader of a tiny Florida church says he won’t follow through on a plan to burn copies of Islam’s holy text if he’s able to meet Saturday with the organizers behind a mosque planned near ground zero in New York.
Speaking to NBC’s “Today” show, the Rev. Terry Jones said if he meets with the imam in New York, he won’t burn the Quran. It wasn’t clear if he meant the burning would be halted indefinitely or just for Saturday.
Now the lunatic Florida pastor says the Quran burning might go forward after all. we agree with Weasel Zippers, MAKE IT STOP!
Oh wait, now we know that the insanity has arrived. The lunatic fringe from the Westboro Baptist Church have stated that if Gainesville’s Dove World Outreach Center calls its off, they will burn the Qurans. Does the Westboro Baptist folks really want to mess with radical Islam? They might be even more insane than the members of Westboro.
