House Democrats Distancing Themselves from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi Just in Time for the Midterm Elections

How convenient, suddenly when its election time, House Democrats start to distance themselves from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Does anyone really think that if Democrats remained in power in the House that all these Democrats would not line up right behind her again?

My what a difference 19 months makes. With the midterm elections less than 50 days away,many House Democrats are trying to abandon the Good Ship Pelosito save their political careers. Could these House Democrats be doing this at the 11th hour to save their political skin? Oh, never, it is becauseof their political core belief conviction. House Democrats have blindly followed Nancy Pelosi and President Obama down the primrose pathand now its time to get your just desserts. Now at the last moments prior to the 2010 midterm elections, House Democrats are running away from President Barack Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Little more than two years after she touted him for the vice presidential nomination, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi cannot count on the support of Rep. Chet Edwards.

Edwards, a conservative Democrat trying win an 11th term representing this area southwest of Dallas, said he has not made up his mind whether he would support Pelosi (D-Calif.) for another term as speaker, as he comes under fire back home for his close ties to the Democratic leader.

Every poll that matters has the Generic Congressional ballot in favor of Republicans and in some cases a record number. Even worse for Democrats is the enthusiasm gap advantage for the  GOP.

Isn’t this rather typical and gutless of House Democrats. They will talk a big game to the voters of how they are so independent of the House leadership and Nancy Pelosi, yet they will not come out and say to their constituents that they will not support herin a vote for Speaker?

Former President Bill Clinton Admits He was Wrong on Obamacare’s Popularity

There is no fear that former President Clinton will ever be predicting the winning  Powerball lottery numbers any time soon …

Let me make something perfectly clear, the Americans people will like Obamacare, um, or not.

Former President Bill Clinton admitted on CBS’ “Face the Nation” that he was wrong in the prediction about the popularity of Obamacare.  Now, after all this time you are admitting you were wrong? The real question is how could anyone have predicted that it would have been popular when it as adamantly opposed by Americans from the outset? Bill Clinton asks himself, how could I have misread the signs.

Former president Bill Clinton, a champion of healthcare reform, admitted on Sunday that he made the wrong prediction about the popularity of President Obama’s healthcare bill.

Initially, Clinton had predicted that the polls in favor of Democrats would be boosted as soon as the legislation was signed into law. Instead, Clinton said on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” his prediction was wrong for two reasons.

“First of all, the benefits of the bill are spread out of three or four years. It takes a long time to implement. And secondly, there has been an enormous and highly effective attack on it,” he said.

Delusional Democrats including Barack Obama had complete disregard for the American people said, “that they would learn to like it”.  Bill Clinton eats some crow over Obaamcare while Democrats will be relegated to the minority.

Hillary to Bill, Wrong again, eh?

Sadly, Slick Willy and the rest of the Democrats still do not get it. The opposition to Obamacare has nothing to do with republicans, it has to do with “WE THE PEOPLE”. It is not the Republicans that initially opposed the bill, it was American voters in Town Hall meetings and Tea Party events that expressed their displeasure. The Republican opposition was simply a results of listening to the people. Presently the average polling is -14 against Obamacare; however, from the outset it has been unpopular.

On CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Clinton said Republicans deserve “their fair share of credit” for Obama’s stumbles, including a sinking approval rating.

“I think he was shocked at the intensity of the Republican opposition,” Clinton said. “But they learned from my first two years that, if you just say no, even though people hate it, you get rewarded for it because it discourages the Democrats and it inflames your base. So they’re doing just what they did in ’93 and ’94. And so far it appears that they’re being rewarded for it.”

Why would Bill Clinton be surprised at Republicans actions when the majority of Americans were against Obamacare and the government take over of healthcare? Now we see that Obama’s justifications of lowering health care costs and the deficit were nothing more than a lie. The repeal of Obamacare is a major issue leading up to the 2010 midterm elections and the reason why many Democrats will lose their seats.

Mr. Clinton, Obamacare is so unpopular that not one Democrat running for office in 2010 has their vote for the government takeover of health care in any of their political ads. In fact, those Democrats who voted against it are trying to portray themselves as being against Obama, Pelosi and Reid.

The real question that needs to be asked is how could any Democrat, including Clinton, have ever thought that Obamacare would have been popular? A bill where Democrat House Speaker stated that they needed to pass the bill in order to find out what was in it.

It just goes to show just how out of touch with Americans that the Democrat party truly is.

Authorities Search for Missing Religious Sect Leader Reyna Marisol Chicas and Her Cult Including 8 Children (Update: All Found Safe)

Los Angeles County Sheriff authorities are looking for a missing  group of El Salvadoran immigrants, described as “cult-like” , and their leader, 32 your old Reyna Marisol Chicas. There is fear that they religious sect may be planning awaiting “Rapture” and planning a suicide. Others have describes Chicas as devout and not a fanatic. However, according to authorities, the letters left behind by the missing cult members basically stated that they are all going to heaven to meet Jesus and their deceased relatives.

Barack Obama Suddenly Finds Religion as His Poll Numbers Near the 30′s

Hallelujah … The Chosen One Attends Church.

The Drudge Report is reporting that President Barack Hussein Obama and the first family in tow attended church this morning. Now, now he attends church after all this time in the White House. Interestingly enough, he attends church on the day the sermon has to do with the“unjust Steward”. You make the call. One would ask of “The One”, why now?

The first family left the White House on foot this morning for the 9am choral Holy Eucharist service and sermon at St John’s Church Lafayette Square.

The Obamas walked out of the residence at 8.49am and crossed the park to the nearby Episcopal church.

The president was wearing a dark suit and held Sasha Obama’s hand. She was wearing a blue dress and cream cardigan. Michelle and Malia Obama were wearing cream-colored dresses. (Check photos for accuracy of descriptions. It’s sunny and pool was at a distance.)

The service sheet doesn’t indicate what the sermon is on but the gospel is Luke 16:1-13, which ends ‘You cannot serve God and wealth.’

Lafayette Park and Pennsylvania Avenue in front of White House were closed to the public.

Maybe Obama was praying for forgiveness for his destroying of jobs from his incompetent jobs and stimulus agenda. Maybe Obama was praying for forgiveness for not paying attention and making jobs his focus and the nearly 10% out of work Americans rather than his liberal socialist agenda of “Cap & Trade” or Obamacare. Or maybe he is asking forgiveness for last week not referncing in a speech that the rights of Americans are endowed by our Creator?   Maybe Obama is asking forgiveness for placing God’s children and grandchildren in America in debt with out of control and record spending and deficits?

Then again, maybe Obama just went to show every one that he is really a Christian and not a Muslim as many believe. Maybe he went to church to pray for a personal and selfish miracle that his poll numbers would not sink any lower and Democrats would not be routed in the 2010 midterm elections.

Just curious, did Barack Obama feel out of place at an Episcopal Church where there was not Rev. Wright type taking the Lords name in vain from the pulpit?

 

UPDATE I: Think there is any correlation that just yesterday as reported by the Politico that Mike Huckabee was quoted saying that President Obama could quell rumors about his faith by “leading the example of attending worship,” and mentioned that Obama once talked of finding a home church in Washington. Nah, must be just a coincidence to a President who is clinging for any positive image he can muster.

Barack Obama Forgets to Mention “Creator” in Declaration of Independence Reference, Intentional?

Hmm, President Barack Hussein Obama forgets to mention the words “endowed by their Creator”while referencing the Declaration of Independence at a recent speech. Intentional or not, you make the call. After all, he was looking at a teleprompter. Were the words not on the teleprompter as well?

Barack Hussein Obama’s Approval Rating Hits New Low of 42% in Fox News Poll

DOWN, DOWN, DOWN …

President Barack Hussein Obama’s job approval rating has hit a new low in the Fox News poll. Obama now finds himself at 42% and falling. Obama’s job approval numbers have truly fallen and they can’t get up. Only 42% approval of the job Obama is doing while 52% disapprove. Obama’s Poll Numbers have fallen and they can’t get Up

With less than 50 days until Election Day, American voters favor Republicans over Democrats by a six percentage-point margin, and that advantage widens among those voters most interested in the election. After the economy, the next most important issue to voters is the trustworthiness of candidates.

Meanwhile, President Obama’s job rating has hit a new low.

When asked who they would back if voting in the Congressional election today, 46 percent of voters say the Republican candidate in their district and 40 percent the Democrat. Two weeks ago the GOP lead was 46-37 percent (1-2 Sept 2010). And when the results are narrowed to voters who say they are certain they will vote in November, that gap widens to 9 points.

President Obama’s job approval hit a new low this week. Overall, 42 percent of voters approve of the job he is doing, down from 46 percent earlier in September, and 52 percent disapprove. Compare that to his 54 percent approval rating a year ago (15-16 Sept. 2009), and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s current 66 percent approval rating.

Even fewer voters — 40 percent — approve of the job Obama is doing on the economy, and 56 percent disapprove.

Use whatever metaphor you want when it comes to Obama job approval polls, the ship is sinking, the wheels have come off the car or the train has come off the tracks … Obama’s numbers are toast. It appears that Weasil Zippers is asking the very same question that we have for a month now, when will Obama’s approval rating go into the 30′s?

Heading into the 2010 midterm elections, Democrats have much to fear from an enthusiastic GOP voting base and more importantly those pesky Tea Party voter who plan on voting for Republicans over Democrats by a 63% margin.

More Republicans (91 percent) than Democrats (85 percent) say they plan to vote for their party’s candidate. The vote among independents is split evenly between the parties (30 percent each). Voters who consider themselves part of the Tea Party movement (21 percent in this poll) are more likely to vote Republican by a 63-point margin.

Obama Job Recovery: $111 Million in Stimulus under American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Creates 55 Jobs in Los Angeles

Is it any wonder why the Tea Party is an overwhelmingsuccess … Democrats would have you believe it is extreme to be against Government wasteful spending.

The Obama Administration likes to tout the $787 billion stimulus plan as a success and job creator, really? Does any one think that spending $2 million per job is a success? That is correct, $2,000,000 per job. After receiving $111 million in Obama’s federal stimulus funds, the city of Los Angeles, CA created a whopping 55 jobs.

The city received $111 million in stimulus under American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) approved by the Congress more than year ago.

“I’m disappointed that we’ve only created or retained 55 jobs after receiving $111 million,” says Wendy Greuel, the city’s controller, while releasing an audit report.

“With our local unemployment rate over 12% we need to do a better job cutting red tape and putting Angelenos back to work,” she added.

According to the report, the Los Angeles Department of Public Works generated only 45.46 jobs (the fraction of a job created or retained correlates to the number of actual hours of work) after receiving $70.65 million, while the target was 238 jobs.

Rasmussen Has Governor Score Card Republicans 27, Democrats 15 & 8 Toss Ups (Update: WI Leans GOP)

It is not just the US House of Representatives and US Senate where Republicans look to make major gains in the 2010 midterm elections, it is the State Governors races as well. Presently Rasmussen as his Governors score cared as GOP 27, Democrats 15 and 8 races are toss ups.

New polling in New Hampshire has moved that state’s Gubernatorial race from Solid Democratic to Toss-Up in the Rasmussen Reports Gubernatorial Scorecard.

The Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 Gubernatorial Scorecard shows Democrats solidly ahead in four states, with four more leaning their way. Republicans are running strongly in 16 states, and five more are leaning GOP.

Hawaii and Connecticut are the only states with a Republican governor that are considered likely to elect a Democrat in November. But six states now headed by Democrats – Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Wyoming – are seen as likely GOP pickups.

Voters will elect governors in 37 states this November. Nineteen of those governorships are now held by Democrats, while Republicans sit in the governor’s chair in 18 of the states.

So what are the eight Governor races that are considered toss ups? New Hampshire was just added to the list from leans Democrat as the GOP candidate has had a surprising bounce in the polls.

  1. California - Republican Meg Whitman was a 46% to 42%lead over Democrat candidate Jerry Brown. When considering leaners Whitman lead 48% to 45%. Whitman as a 55% favorable opinion among CA voters, while 40% view her unfavorably.Jerry Brown, who is considered the establishment candidate  is viewed favorably by 45%, with 23% who regard him Very Favorably. Brown’s unfavorables are 51%, including 36% very unfavorable. RCP average polling has Whitman with a 5% lead.
  2. FloridaRasmussenhas Republican Rick Scott up by 1% over Democrat Alex Sink. This race will be a close race right until election day. Will voter turnout and Tea Party enthusiasm for US Senate candidate Marco Rubio swing the tide for the GOP in the governors race? Look for Tea Party Rubio coattails to help Scott across the finish line.
  3. Maryland - Incumbent Democrat Martin O’Malley and Republican challenger Bob Ehrlich remain basically tied for the third month in a row in the race for governor of Maryland. RCPaverage polling has O’Malley up by 3%; however, the incumbent is below the 50% polling threshold.
  4. New Hampshire – Following the NH primaries, Republican challenger John Stephen has received a huge bounce and the NH governors race has been moved from solid Democrat to a toss up. Incumbent and once considered safe John Lynch is only 2% ahead of GOP challenger John Stephens.
  5. New Mexico - Republican Susana Martinez is starting to pull away in this race as she now has a 48% to 43% lead over Democrat Diane Denish. When leaners are included in the new totals, Martinez holds a 51% to 44% lead over Denish. This race might soon be put in the leans Republican category as the trending is to Susana Martinez. RCP has Martinez up in all polls.
  6. Oregon – Republican Chris Dudley has a 49% to 44% lead over Democrat John Kitzhaber in Oregon’s gubernatorial race. Dudly is looked upon by voters as very favorable as he earns favorable reviews from 57% of Oregon voters and unfavorable marks from 30%. This includes 21% with a very Favorable view and 11% with a Very Unfavorable one. Look for a GOP upset in Oregon on November 2.
  7. Vermont – Following the Democratic primary, Peter Shumlin is running slightly ahead of Republican Lieutenant Governor Brian Dubie in Vermont’s gubernatorial race. Prior to the primaries, Dubie had a substantial lead in the polling over the Democrat hopeful. Before any thing can be evaluated in this race, another set of polls needs to be done to see the political landscape with some distance from a primary bounce.  However, in a liberal state like Vermont, the GOP will have their hands full.
  8. Wisconsin - The last poll was taken prior to the Wisconsin Republicans primary; however, both GOP hopefuls in the state’s gubernatorial contest run just slightly ahead of Democrat Tom Barrett.

It can almost be said at this point that the Governor score card for 2010 can be changed to Republicans 30, Democrats 15 and Toss Ups 5.

UPDATE I: Wisconsin Governors race moves from toss up to leans Republican.

In the most receont Rasmussen poll, Republican Scott Walker leads Democrat Tom Barrett 51% to 43%. Rasmussen is moving the Gubnatorial race from a toss up to “leans Republican” with Walker’s 8% point lead. According to our count that would make it  Republicans 31, Democrats 15 and Toss Ups 4.

Following his Tuesday Republican Primary win, Scott Walker bounces to his best showing yet in the Wisconsin governor’s race.

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Wisconsin, including leaners, finds Walker earning 51% support. His Democratic opponent, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, picks up 43% of the vote.  Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate, and four percent (4%) are undecided.

Not Again, Lindsay Lohan in Trouble … TMZ Reporting Lindsay Lohan Fails Drug Test

TMZ is reporting that bad girl Lindsay Lohan is in trouble again and might have failed a court mandated drug test. As per the  terms of Lindsay’s probation, she will get 30 days in jail for a positive drug test. What will that translate to the special treatment of a celebrity, 3 days?

Remember Lindsay before drugs and alcohol … where is that girl these days?

One source connected with Lindsay tells TMZ … “People with addiction problems don’t get better magically, and she’s really been making an effort to make herself better.”

And D.A. spokesperson Sandi Gibbons tells TMZ her office has not been “officially notified” of the test results and no court date has been set yet.

However, other sources are saying that she did not fail a drug test. TZM is standing behind their sources. My bet is with TMZ.

UPDATE I: TMZ was right …  Lohan admits failing drug test and faces  more jail time.

Where else would we learn the truth of whether Lindsay Lohan failed her court mandated drug test or not? Why of course twitter of course. Lindsay Lohan tweeted the following, “but also that I am a work in progress, just as anyone else. I am keeping my faith, and I am hopeful….Thank you all!!!” Actually Lindsay, these days you are just a piece of work. When appearing before the judge this time, I wonder what Miss Lohan will have painted on her finger nails?

“Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before Judge Fox next week as a result.

Sore Loser Republican Establishment Senator Lisa Murkowski will Run as Write it in Alaska Senate Race

For establishment, elitist politicians … it is their birth right to have power over you as they know better than you!

Whether they be Republicans or democrats, elitist, establishment candidates just can’t take no as an answer from the people. They think it is their birth right to represent the people, even when they people say they do not want them to. What is the definition of a RINO, establishment, elite politicians … Lisa Murkowski.

Lisa Murkowski, the incumbent Republican US Senator from Alaska has announced that she will run in the 2010 US Senate Alaska general election as a “write-in” candidate. Defying the vote of Alaskans in the recent Republican primary, Murkowski will not support the Republican winner of the primary as she stated she would, she will instead run as a write-in candidate and possibly split the Republican vote and hand the Democrats a victory. Murkowski lost the Republican primary to Tea Party and Sarah Palin backed Joe Miller.

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) will run for re-election as a write-in candidate after losing her bid for renomination, according to sources briefed on Murkowski’s decision.

Murkowski’s decision will set up a 3-way battle between the incumbent, Miller and Sitka Mayor Scott McAdams (D), potentially turning the race on its head. Private 3-way polling has shown Miller leading, but by a narrow margin.

Murkowski will make the formal announcement tonight in Anchorage. She has been mulling her options after losing to attorney Joe Miller (R) by 1.8% — or about 2K votes out of 110K cast.

Miller won with the backing of the Tea Party Express and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R). The Tea Party Express spent hundreds of thousands of dollars criticizing Murkowski’s legislative accomplishments, and Palin campaigned against her rival in the race’s closing days.

The Anchorage Daily News reports it as, ‘Murkowski says ‘Let’s Make History’. Really? Why was it not reported as what it really is, sore loser incumbent, establishment US Senator who feels it is her birth right defies her party and the people and runs as a write-in as a desperateattempt to keep power. Senator Murkowski acts like there was no primary vote. She lost and she just can’t accept the outcome.
