      Actually there are quite a few TV programs that chronicle cops doing a good job, but the do-gooders like Jesse Jackson, etc. like to whip up the stories of abuse into a big deal. Police departments have a mechanism for dealing with bad cops, but these self proclaimed protectors of society want things tried out in the court of public opinion. Also, a lot of these cases have to do with race, so there is a not so hidden agenda there.
