Former Alaska US Senator Ted Stevens & Four Others Killed in Plane Crash near Dillingham, AK

Former Alaska US Senator Ted Stevens and four others were killed in a plane crash Monday when their DeHavilland DHC-3 Otter crashed near Dillingham, Alaska. Ted Stevens served as the US Senator from Alaska from 1968 to 2009. Ted Stevens was the longest serving Republican senator in history  Four others of the nine passengers aboard the flight were killed as well,  Terry Smith, 62, of Eagle River, Bill Phillips, Sr., Dana Tindall, 48 of Anchorage and her daughter, Corey Tindall, 16.

Former Sen. Ted Stevens and four other people were killed in a plane crash Monday.

Five of the nine passengers of a DeHavilland DHC-3 Otter were killed. Alaska State Troopers identified all of the victims in the crash Tuesday afternoon.

Dead are Stevens, the plane’s pilot Terry Smith, 62, of Eagle River, Bill Phillips, Sr., Dana Tindall, 48 of Anchorage and her daughter, Corey Tindall, 16.

The four survivors were transported to Providence Hospital in Anchorage with varying degrees of injuries – they are William Phillips, Jr., 13,former NASA administrator Sean O’Keefe, 54, his son Kevin O’Keefe, and Jim Morhard of Alexandria, Va.

US School Children Told to Stop Singing National Anthem at Lincoln Memorial … They Did Any How!

What has this country come to when it is considered a crime and civil disobedience if school children sing the United States National Anthem at the Lincoln Memorial? Congratulation to the school kids for standing their ground and doing the right thing in singing the national anthem in the United States of America and damn where they felt like it.

Not only did the school kids sing, but others visiting the Lincoln Memorial as well

A news flash to the DC idiots who made any such law and the fool police oofficer trying to enforce Fascism … Patriotism is not a demonstration!

A group of high school students attending a conservative leadership conference in Washington, D.C. said they were ordered by a security guard to stop singing the national anthem during a June 25 visit to the Lincoln Memorial.

“They told them to stop singing,” said Evan Gassman, a spokesman for the Young America’s Foundation. “I was taken aback. You wouldn’t expect a display of national patriotism to be censored.”

Talk about one opf the most ignorant, lack of common sense PC nonsense that might have ever been made. The singing of the American National Anthem is considered a demonstration. WHAT!!! It must remain neutral, neutral to what? Is the national anthem at a US President’s memorial going to offend some one?

U.S. Park Police confirmed that the students were in violation of federal law and their impromptu performance constituted a demonstration in an area that must remain “completely content neutral.”

“The area they were standing in and singing is an area that is restricted for this type of activity,” said Sgt. David Schlosser. “The United States Park Police is absolutely content-neutral when it comes to any sort of demonstrations in these areas.”

Get this, in some idiots infinite wisdom it is deemed ok to do what these patriotic school children were doing 25 steps away. UNREAL! KUDOS to the school kids for standing their ground, not moving an inch and continuing to sing.

Schlosser said the students would have been in compliance had they moved approximately 25 steps from where they were standing.

“It’s not the content of their activity – that being the national anthem – it’s the location,” he said. “A couple steps and it would have been no problem whatsoever.”

Instead of doing as they were instructed, Gassman said the students resumed the song – an impromptu form of civil disobedience.

As Rep. Maxine Waters was warned against interceding on behalf of a bank with ties to her husband, her chief of staff, who is also her grandson, was “actively involved” in working to help the institution, according to a House Ethics Committee report released Monday that accuses the longtime Los Angeles political figure of three ethics violations.

Waters was accused of violating three rules — one that requires its members to “behave at all times in a manner that shall reflect creditably on the House,” a second that prohibits lawmakers from using their influence for personal benefit and a third forbidding the dispensing of favors.

Water’s and Charlie Rangel’s ethics hearings should do wonders for the Democrat brand and image heading into the 2010 midterm elections.

Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi Calls back Reps to Vote on $26 Billion Union Bail Out

Once again we are witness to a so-called jobs bill from the Democrats that is nothing more than a payoff to the unions.

House Speaker Nanacy Pelosi has called back the US House of Reprsentative members to vote on a $26 billion bailout of state union workers. When will the spending stop? When will the bail outs stop?  Didn’t Obama and the Democrats state that the $787 billion stimulus plan was supposed to save the teacher, police and firemen jobs? So why are they not spending the remaining $400 billion from that failed stimulus bill instead of creating yet another?

Just a thought, how are these jobs ever going to be paid for by the states if they are always going to have to get a federal government bail out to keep them? Isn’t this just public sector, union unemployment? I realize this sounds like a novel concept, but states are going to have to cut their budgets and live within their means … that means altering the pension plans of these employees.

It’s not a matter that any one cares that a Congressman’s vacation was cut short, it is a matter than many US Reps had key and important functions to attend like town hall meetings and listening to their constituents, health care meetings and job fairs. Instead, it is back to DC to vote on spending even more of the tax payers money.

Activists Say Tea Party Imposters Infiltrating Elections … They Couldn’t be Democrats Could they?

New Search for Missing 7 Year Old Kyron Horman, Missing Since June 4, 2010

According to reports, there was a renewed massive search for 7 year old Kyron Horman. Kyron has been missing since June 4, 2010 when he was last seen at  Skyline Elementary School. According to accounts, , a tip from DeDe Spicher that may have caused this latest search, which follows Spicher’s grand jury testimony.

Investigators were expected to continue their suddenly resumed-search Monday for Oregon seven-year-old Kyron Horman.

He vanished June 4 after attending a science fair at Skyline Elementary School, in the Portland area. It led to what was called at the time the biggest search in state history.

Over the weekend, reports correspondent Priya David-Clemens, dozens of probers from several agencies scoured an area two miles from the school, in a massive ground search.

Included in the search: property where Dede Spicher was working June 4. She is a close friend of Terri Horman, Kyron’s stepmother, who’s thought to be the last person to have seen him alive
