sad I hope they find her alive. We are living in dangerous times be it day or night. I am saying this in regards to the amount of predators/sex offenders running amuck in our communities.

    2. loca on July 17th, 2010 6:29 pm

      stalking their prey.

    3. BLueLightSpecial on July 17th, 2010 11:32 pm

You should go thru all her girlfriends, and classmates.
I tell you why, if a guy gets a girl pregnant. They might look for a place to ‘enlope’, I know a niece that got pregnant her boyfriend took her to a friend out of state with her other sister under 18. Gone for 2 weeks, not in the uNiversity dorm.

    4. A Texas Grandfather on July 18th, 2010 8:33 pm

The danger for young girls and women in our country has become so great that we may have to go back to techniques used in the 19th century where no female was allowed to travel any distance without male escorts or in a group with chanparones.

Until we set our moral values back on track, we will continue to see young women attacked. It has to start with the family and fathers need to get actively involved in creating a safe environment for their girls.

i ben knowing her for 3 yaers and i so wooried about her i hope they dont do anything bad to her and i pray that she is found alive

    6. Jimbo on July 19th, 2010 1:56 pm

Who cares? She’s probably an illegal.

    7. Brenda on July 19th, 2010 2:14 pm

Tx grandfather. No kidding. And what you say is NOT BEING SEXIST either. Just sadly how it may be. Honestly though, all too many women are not aware they are putting themselves in danger. Need to understand it’s the simple fact we are not as strong as men physically, and most wouldn’t know what to do if grabbed. I carry a weapon everywhere be it a gun or knife or otherwise…so I’m going to try to kill anyone who attempts to abduct me…period. All there is to it.

    8. Veronica on July 19th, 2010 3:58 pm

to the idiot on #6 this ain’t about illegal’s its about a missing girl.

    9. PaMom on July 19th, 2010 5:40 pm

She’s a beautiful young girl, and I will pray for her safe return.

    10. Pamela on July 19th, 2010 6:09 pm

For the A**H*** named Jimbo, your an idiot Sir!!! Even though your comment is racial and stupid I do not wish you the worst for you don’t know what your saying. But in regards to the girl it is a serious issue that there are a lot of child molesters in this area and that maybe the dumb cops who are looking for her would know that those are the first people to pay a visit. As to the idiot I mention earlier just you wait until you have a child and you would know what is like to take things like this serious, no matter the race, color, sex and nationality.

    11. fran on July 19th, 2010 9:26 pm

My prayers are that she is found soon and alive.

I’m thankful my children are raised, but now I have to fear for my grandchildren. It doesn’t matter whether they’re male or female, anyone alone is susceptible to these predators.

      Sometimes I feel like we’re living in a war-zone.

I hope the police are looking at this blog. They should have a look at “Jimbo”. Who makes comment like that? Yeah, racists are idiots but they usually don’t want people dead. This guy should be on some sort of list.

    21. Diane on July 21st, 2010 12:57 am

TX Grandfather you are so right. One of the reasons is pornography. All young boys are exposed to it now on the internaet. It has become a normal part of growing up for ALL young men today…as regular as playing baseball or brushing your teeth. The problem is that, once you get into that stuff, you can easily lose respect for women. That is the real reason we are seeing so many crimes against young girls. As long as Americans think their freedom to see filth is more important than the safety of their daughters, sisters and mothers, this problem will continue.

worried mom i completely understand your feelings. my daughter goes to school with norma and we live within walking distance too. however this is something none of us are imune to as sad as that is there are too many creeps out there harming our childrenn and we must stay alert and protect our kids every minute. i just wonder what we can do to get our community leaders more involved in our fight and work harder and more vigilant when these things happen? ill say it again no k9 search until 3 days later and never ever an amber alert??? UNEXCUSABLE WRONG AND SO SAD!

    24. apple on July 21st, 2010 9:51 am

my prayers are with the lopezes. police department and investigators need to have an open mind and eyes. we need to stay alert on the things happening around us. i strongly agree with #s 4, 10 and 21.

    25. Scott on July 21st, 2010 10:00 am

#21 – using porn as an excuse as to why this is happening is just plain stupid. That has NOTHING to do with it. Fact is, abductions and kidnappings against young people in general have been going on for years and years, just today’s 24/7 news has shed light on this.

Porn is watched by MILLIONS of men AND women in this country; but yet you don’t see MILLIONS of young girls being abducted raped and killed.

    26. lupe on July 21st, 2010 10:09 am

my heart aches for the missing girl and her family. and as for you jimbo… what nationality are you?

    27. Albert on July 21st, 2010 10:36 am

      Their
may be a killer on the loose in my town and their was remains found
miles away from valley view high school i use to go there and its sad
to think that she may be dead

and they found some of her personal belongs scattered on a field close by which indicate a struggle may have
occurred i seriously doubt this girl ran away it seems something far more sinister happened to her

i may have seen her before at the mall or something she looks very familiar but i can’t exactly remember if it was her

      i
believe it is her remains and i hope no more girls from my town go
missing but a killer never stops with one victim they go for more and more untill their caught hopefully whoever did this is caught soon before they go after another girl

and its scary to think that it could be someone i know or a friend of mine that goes missing next time if you live in Moreno valley like i do watch your back because you never know if this might happen again..to another girl

am only 21 so i know how terrible it would be to lose your life so young i can only hope that body is not her but it looks like it is her

    28. Albert on July 21st, 2010 10:46 am

and i live ten minutes away from the location they found her am very fearful to even go out now i hope the bastard who did this is caught i would like to see him or her suffer until death

    29. Albert on July 21st, 2010 11:27 am

and to number 6 your a prick and a ignorant bastard just because shes Hispanic doesn’t mean shes an illegal

i am also Hispanic so you better watch what your saying i guarantee you you wouldn’t be saying that in person to anyone or in a group because you would get your ass kicked or faced smashed in

why don’t you keep your thoughts to yourself because you don’t seem to have very smart ones and seem to be a very dumb and close minded

    30. destiny on July 21st, 2010 11:58 am

I really do hope this girl gets home safely! I live in a city near moreno valley& walk through a field too to get home quicker from school so this most def caght my eye. /: please god help her,her family is suffering. & may god be with you norma.
& to #6 people like you don’t deserve to live. ignorant people!

    31. Jilia on July 21st, 2010 12:10 pm

God Bless the family and close friends, I can’t even imagine the pain they are going through at this moment. As for the idiot on #6 and his stupid remarks, let me tell you something little guy, have you watched the movie American History X? I bet your the guy that gets raped and treated like shit in prison just because of your racial ignorance! Try making statements like these in prison? I bet you won’t even dare try it. So instead of making those stupid comments why not think about what if it were your sister, mom or friend and not just by the color of their skin.

    32. Sabrina on July 21st, 2010 4:45 pm

Rest In Peace Norma. I pray for your family an thank God for bringing a sweet person in our world. We love you. Im at lost for words… but I keep reassuring myself your in a better place with the angels.

    33. NGBoston on July 21st, 2010 5:15 pm

They found her. So sad, once again another story in the headlines which reminds of us of the ugliness that goes on in this World.

Heartbreaking for her family, loved ones and the community.

RIP, Norma. You are yet another beautiful child of God and he has welcomed you back to where you came from. No one can hurt you anymore.

Hope they catch the scumbag responsible for this. Does not appear as if they have any suspects yet. Another innocent victim gone way too soon.

      =(

    34. NGBoston on July 21st, 2010 5:26 pm

#29- Albert—-So sorry that this beautiful young lady was taken from your Community.

Don’t listen to the ignorant Idiots and jerkoffs who make rude, racist comments. As you know, we have plenty of people like that here in the US, just like any other country. Just ignore their lames asses and move on. Moreno Valley will persevere.

Don’t be fearful either, Albert. Go to your Community Leaders, friends, family, neighbors and stick together. Strength is in numbers. You all have a voice and must speak up in the name of justice. Do Neighborhood watches together and report anything suspicious to Law Enforcement, which you can all do anonomously, without giving your names. Ask the Mayor of your Town if he/she can attain more media coverage on Norma Lopez’s Murder and Abduction, perhaps get the story more exposure on “America’s Most Wanted” for example and everyone can join together to help catch the evil Monster who did this to her.

You are young, wise, brave and compassionate for starters…. those are the only things you need to start a grass roots movement to your Community and catch this criminal.

Thank you for sharing your information with us here. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Lopez family during this difficult time, and to everyone in your Community.

      * Justice for Norma Lopez & Moreno Valley*

This is hard for me…I work in Moreno Valley and had Missing person signs up for this beautiful girl. Bless her and her family (As for #6 Jimbo, may you find peace in knowing how naive to this world you are. Illegal (most definetly something that rubs me the wrong way), but if she was or wasn’t she was murdered….and no person ever deserves that. Your an ignorant asshole!

    38. Jimbo on July 21st, 2010 9:09 pm

I’m really very sorry about my stupid comment. I don’t know what came over me. It’s terrible that poor girl was killed, and I know it’s hard to believe, my sympathy goes out to her family.

In the past year, I’ve gotten caught up in a lot of stupid political behavior. It’s really f(edit) up. I really thought she had run away or something. You are all right, and I owe everyone an apology. It makes me sick that I wrote that.
      _____________
SM: It is another terrible and sensless murder of an all too young girl. Our hearts go out to her family.
Let us hope they catch the POS that did this.

Apology accepted. Let us all pray for her eternal peace.

My prayers go out to norma lopez and her family I know there going through a lot and wants the police to catch this guy.

    40. C. Martin on July 23rd, 2010 2:29 am

Barin Butler OWNER of a horse ranch? He does not own the property but he is in charge of the horses that often run loose and get injured. I know this because he was subleasing the mobile home in the front to my family until late March 2010 and because of ignored work orders we were forced to move because it was condemned by the city for safety reasons.

    41. sad & disgusted on July 23rd, 2010 2:56 am

May we all pray for the lopez family who are going through very hard times. We should all have faith in god…for he is the only one that will truely make that heartless human/s pay for what he/she/them has/have done. I don’t think any body can live with such guilt. It just makes me wonder why?? How can ANY ONE do something like this?? God bless every soul in the world and wish with all my heart that this doesn’t happen ever again(though I know its too much of a wish :( )

    42. J&E on July 31st, 2010 1:09 am

We are very sad with what happened to Norma Lopez and her family. Our prayers go out to her and her family. Nothing can make her come back but atleast her body was found and her soul is now resting in peace. I really cant believe that there are people out there that can do such things. Hopefully that guy or whoever did that horrible thing to her is found and he gets it so badd. NOONE deserves to die that way. I truly hope that the one responsible for this is captured very soon because it wud be terrible if this happened to another girl. R.I.P Nomra Lopez<33
