U.S. District Court Judge Martin Feldman who overturned Barack Obama’s moratorium on deep water drilling because there was no “rational connection between the facts found and the choice made,” is now receiving death threats. Oh that tolerant LEFT. So let’s understand this, a judge a ruling that the LEFT and enviromental-whackos do not agree with, so he must die. Who does this sound like? Here’s a hint, rhymes with “sadical Islam”.
While many Americans undoubtedly agree with the decision of U.S. District Court Judge Martin Feldman to overturn the Obama administration’s moratorium on deep water drilling, not everyone is happy. In fact, the Judge is now receiving death threats in the aftermath of his bold ruling.
Last night, Feldman served as a celebrity judge at a cooking contest at a school gymnasium in Uptown New Orleans. Due to the threats, Feldman was accompanied by a federal marshal security team.
It is a sad indictment of our society today that a judge with such a sterling record of integrity and service to his country would be subject to such threats. Feldman was appointed to the federal bench by President Reagan in 1983. Today, he is in the eye of a political hurricane unlike anything he has ever experienced.
Of course the second that the decision was made, the loony LEFT aided by the MSM began to demonize Judge Feldman and stated that he owned stock on “BIG OIL”. Of course if they had done their home work and an ounce of research they would have seen that judge Feldman sold his shares in 2008. However, why would the LEFT let the fact get in the way of a good smear. Because for the LEFT and the crazoids who would actually make death threats against Feldman, it’s all about character assasination and intimidation.

I am not a member of the “left” but I think it is insane to go on with any kind of deep ocean drilling until the gulf problem is solved. How much of the fishing industry do you want killed off? Not to mention what a great target for terrorists-its probably alot easier to blow up an oil rig than it is to try another 911 type scheme and in the long run just as effective. I guess everyone is ignoring the fact that people who are trying to clean up the Gulf mess are getting sick. Who knows what effects BP’s chemical cocktail is going to have on sea life and people. Sure Fine Go drill somemore-Maybe the right might get it when babies end up with birth defects because of this-Oh wait the right doesn’t care once you’ve been born, they just care Before birth afterwards YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN!
You do not ban drilling because of an avoidable disaster such as this. You fix the problem and have better regulations for safety and try drilling in reasonable depths instead of a mile deep. Let’s do some drilling on-shore where it’s safer & more productive.
This whole thing is just another ploy by the left to get what they want. Obama never wanted offshore drilling in the first place and now that there has been a disaster; all the more reason to stop drilling. We have to become more independent of foreign oil; if we don’t drill then others will and we lose out on becoming independent. You don’t ban commercial flights when you have a disaster do you? No, of course not. It’s preposterous to think that we should stop drilling because of this one. I will agree however; that drilling in 5,000 plus feet of water is ludicrous for this very reason. Drill in shallower depths or drill in Alaska and tell the EPA to shove it and shut the hell up and allow drilling on land where it’s safer & more productive.
And no, I’m not saying that I think anybody purposely caused this disaster; I’m saying that they have used it to their advantage and the MMS failed to do the job of regulating these oil rigs and making sure all safety procedures were in place and being routinely checked. This is the kind of thing that happens when the money hungry get greedy and want to cut corners and take the cheap way out. Well, it’s costing plenty now and not just in monetary value either. How do the environmentalist feel about this clusterf*ck to the environment?
