WSJ Poll, Voters Fleeing from Democrats Ahead of 2010 Midterm Elections … Bad to be the Party of BO

Some times its good to be the party of “NO”, especially when in 2010 you are it is  the party of BO.

All polling data is showing that American voters are fleeing the Democrats and the S.S. Obama. Add another one to the list, this time it is the Wall Street Journal poll that shows that there has been a definite shift in voter support from Democrats to Republicans. The voters that Republicans lost in recent elections appear to be coming home.

Republicans have solidified support among voters who had drifted from the party in recent elections, putting the GOP in position for a strong comeback in November’s mid-term campaign, according to a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll.

The findings suggest that public opinion has hardened in advance of the 2010 elections, making it tougher for Democrats to translate their legislative successes, or a tentatively improving U.S. economy, into gains among voters.

The WSJ/NBC poll also bares witness to the fact that Independents have abandoned the Democrat party. They must be less than happy with Obama’s “hope & change” promises of 2008.

A big shift is evident among independents, who at this point in the 2006 campaign favored Democratic control of Congress rather than Republican control, 40% to 24%. In this poll, independents favored the GOP, 38% to 30%.

Suburban women favored Democratic control four years ago by a 24-point margin. In the latest survey, they narrowly favored Republicans winning the House. A similar turnaround was seen among voters 65 and older.

“This is the inverse of where we were four years ago, and in a way that projects to substantial Democratic losses in November,” Mr. McInturff said.

The new survey gives incumbents of either party little reason for comfort. Only about one in five respondents approved of the job Congress is doing.

As The Lonely Conservative states, it’s okay to be the party of “NO” especially when WE THE PEOPLE are in direct opposition to the path that Obama and the liberal, progressive Democrats are taking us down. Why would Republicans reach across the aisle and bail out Democrats and aid them in destroying America?

The majority of Americans want politicians to stand up in opposition to Obamacare, Cap & Trade, bail outs and any Immigration reform that would include amnesty. The polls once again show it’s bad to be the Party of BO.

Missing Utah Boy Found Murdered: Ethan Stacy Killed By Mom and Step Dad

Layton, Utah– Ethan Stacy, 4, on a court ordered visitation by a Virginia judge, was found murdered last evening in Ogden Canyon, Utah.

Ethan was originally reported missing by his mother, newly married Stephanie Sloope, and her husband of 10 days, Nathan Sloope. Sloope told Police that Ethan had wandered away from the couples apartment 5 out of the last 10 nights.

I am not sure who wants to more, Golf Channel reporter Win McMurry after her comment this weekend regarding Tiger’s neck pain or Woods after his recent troubles both on and off the golf course.

It is a reporters worst nightmare and our benefit, Win McMurry made a Freudian slip over the weekend after Tiger Woods withdrew from the  Players Championship tournament because of neck pain. Or as McMurry described it, a bulging dick.

Try living this one down …

Golf Channel reporter Win McMurry committed a gaffe when describing Tiger Woods’ reason for dropping out of the last round of the Players Championship: She called his “bulging disk” a “bulging d–k.”

“[Woods] says he’s been playing with a bad neck for about a month and thinks it could be a bulging d–k,” the broadcaster said Sunday in a voice-over before immediately correcting her faux pas.

Wow, who knew that Win McMurry by way of a media faux pas would actually hit the nail right on the head, pardon the pun. What really has caused Tiger’s game to drop, his bulging disc or bulging di@k?

Surprise, Surprise Surprise … CBO Raises Cost Projections for Obamacare $115 Billion Over Next Day Years

AMERICA … ARE YOU SURPRISED? TELL ME YOU ACTUALLY BELIEVED WHAT THEY STATED OBAMACARE WOULD COST PRIOR TO THE VOTE?

When will it end? And you wonder why by a 56% to 37% America wants to repeal this law.

The CBO just added another $115 billion to the already $1 trillion cost to Obamacare. So just how much will the government take over of health care really cost? Obamacare is one of the biggest scams ever perpetrated on the American public. As NRO states … You Have to Laugh to Keep from Crying.

Another 115 billion dollars!!!

Congressional Budget Office estimates released Tuesday predict the health care overhaul will likely cost about $115 billion more in discretionary spending over ten years than the original cost projections.

The additional spending — if approved over the years by Congress — would bring the total estimated cost of the overhaul to over $1 trillion.

Republicans pounced on the news, which they called another sign that the Obama administration makes promises it cannot deliver.

And America thinks this is only going to cost $1 trillion … bahahahaha

“The American people wanted one thing above all from health care reform: lower costs, which Washington Democrats promised, but they did not deliver,” said House Minority Leader John A Boehner (R-Ohio). “It was clearly irresponsible for Washington Democrats to force this legislation through Congress without being truthful about its full impact on the nation’s finances. Republicans are fighting to repeal this job-killing health care law and replace it with reforms focused first on lowering costs and protecting American jobs.”

Fire Andrea Mitchel reminds us, this does not even include the so-called “Doctor-Fix”.

Incumbent US Rep. Alan Mollohan Defeated in WV Democrat Primary by Mike Oliverio … “I supported Obamacare” … Good Bye

It would appear that it is not only the Republicans who are telling incumbents don’t let the door hit you on the way out. Now if only the MSM would cover these stories in the same way.

Pretty soon we might be putting “Incumbents” on the political endangered species list, if they are not already there. The latest to feel the wrath of the American voters was US Rep. Alan Mollohan who lost handily to  Democratic state Sen. Mike Oliverio in the West Virginia Democrat Primary.

Mollohan hadn’t faced a serious primary fight in more than a decade and was seen in some circles as unbeatable given that the 1st district seat had been in his family since 1968. (His father held it from 1968-1982 before handing it off to the son.)

But, Oliverio, who served a single term in the state House of Delegates before being elected to the state Senate in 1994, ran hard against Mollohan’s entrenched incumbent status and the lingering whiff of ethics problems that had dogged the Congressman for years.

Blue Dogs are learning, it’s not good to support Obamacare.

Interesting, this self proclaimed pro-life Blue Dog Democrats in the Stupak coalition who voted for the abortion-fund and Obamacare loses in a Democrat primary. Can you only imagine how these folk will fare in a general election? Blue Dogs have been added to the endangered political species list as well. The 14 term US Rep is out as state Sen. Mike Oliverio won 56% to Mollohan’s 44%.

As the Weekly Standard states, if this was a Republican primary the MSM headlines would say Mollohan “purged” instead because of media bias they merely read he lost.

Of course, if he were a Republican, I would write that West Virginia congressman Alan Mollohan was “purged” instead of “defeated.” Per the Wall Street Journal: “With 82% of precincts reporting, Democratic state Sen. Mike Oliverio was already leading by 12 points, 56%-44%.”

With the mood of the country in this political season … Mollohan will have plenty of company this year as the GOP looks to take back the US House of Representatives.

Student Banned by Teacher in California for Drawing a Flag, Was “God Bless America” Offensive … And Holy Jolly Rancher Batman

Once again we are witness to liberal insanity from California.

A teacher said that the students could draw anything they wanted to and then the following ensued. A 7th grade student in California was told by a teacher that her drawing of the American flag was offensive. However, the picture of Barack Obama was beautiful.

Offensive? What Say You America?

The 13-year-old’s mother, Tracy Hathaway said she doesn’t know why the Gavilan Middle School teacher called the drawing offensive because she won’t tell the family what’s wrong with the picture.  Hathaway wants to know why the teacher praised another student for drawing a picture of President Barack Obama.

As the mother stated, the one thing that brings our country together and unites us as the American flag does was offensive; however, Barack Obama who people disagree with and is divisive was okay with the teacher.

The school looked inot the incident and wanted the teacher to apologize as what she did was over the line.

So maybe the question needs to be asked of the teacher, what part of the drawing was offensive, the America flag or the “God Bless America”. In either case, this is rather troubling as one again we see what teaches our children.

UPDATE I: Of wait, more brilliance from our educational system as a third grader in Texas was suspended and sent home for a week for possessing a contraband substance. Was it a weapon, fire works, knife, drugs? NOPE A JOLLY RANCHER! That id correct America. A piece of candy got a third grader a week of detention because the school is playing Nanny state.

The superintendent for the Brazos Independent School District also claims the district is simply following state guidelines to limit the amount of junk food in schools.

“Whether or not I agree with the guidelines, we have to follow the rules,” Superintendent Jack Ellis told KHOU-TV in Houston.

But state guidelines for punishing students with junk food don’t even exist, Texas Department of Agriculture spokesperson Bryan Black said.

“Our policy does not prohibit from sharing a Jolly Rancher with a friend,” Black told FOXNews.com. “If a parent wants to pack candy, it’s their decision, not against school policy. A parent needs to decide what a student eats.”

I think we are beginning to see why maybe Mexican-Americans found it so offensive for individuals to wear American flag colored clothing last week on Cino de Mayo. They are taking the lead from liberal, intolerant disrespectful adult teacher.

What is teaching the children today?

Please let this be so, there have been so many claims of capture and death of Taliban terrorists. Let’s just say we are cautiously and skeptically hopeful.

According to Brad Thor at Big Government, Mullah Omar has been captured.

When this explosive information was quietly confirmed to United States Intelligence ten days ago by Pakistani authorities, it appeared to take the Defense Department by surprise. No one, though, is going to be more surprised than Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.  It seems even with confirmation from the Pakistanis themselves, she was never brought up to speed.

They know all right and so do we, at least when it comes to Mullah Omar.  We have known since the end of March and we had it confirmed ten days ago by the Pakistanis.  So why didn’t the State Department and the CIA know?

As so many others are saying, let’s not get too giddy until there is other confirmation, although if true … it is a great get.

John McCain’s New Ad, Complete the Danged Fence … Hmm, Then What Amnesty Sir?

The RINO’s are running scared. This ad might be the greatest pandering ever inflicted upon the American voter. Actually, McCain’s tough border ad might go beyond pandering. Shameless might not even be strong enough.

Does anyone honestly think that if McCain was not in a tough Republican primary with JD Hayworth or if the political climate did not presently exist against progressive RINO’s that McCain would be saying any of this?

Whether it’s Republican or Democrat … it’s just another example of politicians will do and say anything to be reelected. Once elected … they forget the will of the people.
