Conservatives Doing Well in Great Britain as Well … Poll Shows Torries on Course for a Convincing Election Victory

It appears that it is not just Conservatives and Republicans in the United States that are doing well in polling prior to the November election. Across the pond in Great Britain, Conservatives are on course to have a major victory of the Labour and  Liberal Democrat  parties.

The poll by Crosby/Textor was carried out in 100 marginal seats; 80 held by Labour and 20 by the Liberal Democrats.

43 per cent of voters questioned said they would vote Conservative, 31 per cent Labour and 20 Lib Dem.

Labour have dropped five points since the 2005 election in these seats, while the Tories have gained seven points, the poll showed.

As stated by the Astute Blogger, a Tory win is necessary to save Great Britain. If the people of England can figure out that Liberal Democrats and Labour is not the answer, surely the voters of the United States can as well.

If you missed this on the MSM, yesterday at his nuclear security summit conference President Barack Hussein Obama told Americans the following:

“Whether we like it or not, we remain a dominant military superpower.”

So much for that US National Security stuff.

What is wrong with this President? Why is he so ashamed that the United States is a power in the world? Obama apologizes to the world that the US is a super power. These are frightening words from the man whose job it is to protect America.

Actually Mr. President … WE THE PEOPLE are not ashamed that we ae a super power; however, since the Presidential election of 2008 … WE ARE ASHAMED OF YOU!

Yes, that is correct, those words came from the mouth of a sitting President whose job it is to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. Hear it from his lips to your ears and eyes below. At what point do ALL AMERICANS need to question the motives and agenda of a President who does not want the United States to be a super power.

Instead, those who do and see Obama for what he really is, are called racists, Fascists and haters.

Just the other day Dick Morris appeared on FOX and FRIENDS and made the following comment regarding Barack Obama, “We may have the first anti-American president we’ve ever had.” At the time many thought, well that was a bit over the top … until Obama’s comments above. At some point we are going to have to call it for what this really is.

Dead Heat in the 2010 Pennsylvania Democratic Primary for Senate, Specter 44%, Sestak 42%

Its a dead heat. The 2010 Pennsylvania Democrat Primary is about one month (May 18) away and the race could not be any tighter as incumbent Senator Arlen Specter leads challenger Joe Sestak 44% to 42%.

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of likely primary voters in the state finds Specter with 44% of the vote, his lowest level of support in 10 months of surveying. Sestak, a congressman from the Philadelphia suburbs, earns 42% support this month, a level he’s hit several times but never exceeded.

Four percent (4%) of likely Democratic primary voters prefer some other candidate in the race, and 10% are undecided.

Just a month ago the race seemed to be all but over as Specter lead Sestak 48% to 37%. What a difference a month makes and what a difference Sestak claiming that the Obama WH tried to offer him a position to get out of the race makes as well.

The biggest news in the race in recent weeks has been Sestak’s charge that the White House offered him a high-level position if he dropped out of the primary race, but he has since refused to provide any further details.

Just how damning is it to be a Democrat incumbent these days? Especially when you are an incumbent Democrats like Specter who used to be a Republican until he realized he would not win his parties primary nomination to hold on to his power.

A hard primary battle may just weaken the Democrat candidate enough to have the Keystone state flip Republican in November 2010. As of last month Republican Toomay was leading Specter in a mythical match up 49% to 40%.  All the signs, data and economic conditions in PA point toward a Republican Senate gain in the midterm elections.

Support to Repeal Obamacare Up to 58%

Remember when President Obama and his minions said that once the Obamacare bill was passed that the People would come around to the bill? A funny thing happened on the way to the government take over of health care … The People are more against Obamacare than ever!

Three weeks after Democrats rammed health care down throats of Americans, 58% now want Obamacare repealed. That is up 4% from last month as by a 58% – 38% margin, We the People want to repeal the deal!

Three weeks after Congress passed its new national health care plan, support for repeal of the measure has risen four points to 58%. That includes 50% of U.S. voters who strongly favor repeal.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of likely voters nationwide finds 38% still oppose repeal, including 32% who strongly oppose it.

Still, 52% believe the health care plan will be bad for the country. Thirty-nine percent (39%) think it will be good for the country, and one percent (1%) more say it will have no impact.

It is no coincidence that once Obama signed the so-called health care reform bill into law that his poll numbers started crashing even further.

CLASSIC: Obamacare Removes Congress of their Healthcare!!! (Always Read the Bill before Voting)

So what was the bid hurry in passing Obamacare? I guess it is important to read after all.

How typical of what our Obama, Pelosi, Reid controlled government has become … file this one under you get what you deserve when you do not do the work of the people and actually represent We the People and read the bills that are put in front of you.

Remember when Nanacy Pelosi stated, “we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it?” I guess that holds true for her and the rest of Congress as well.

In a new report, the Congressional Research Service says the law may have significant unintended consequences for the “personal health insurance coverage” of senators, representatives and their staff members.

For example, it says, the law may “remove members of Congress and Congressional staff” from their current coverage, in the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program, before any alternatives are available.

The confusion raises the inevitable question: If they did not know exactly what they were doing to themselves, did lawmakers who wrote and passed the bill fully grasp the details of how it would influence the lives of other Americans?

Remember when Obama and the Democrats promised you that you could keep your coverage and nothing would change? Looks like it may have changed for Congress.

The law promises that people can keep coverage they like, largely unchanged. For members of Congress and their aides, the federal employees health program offers much to like. But, the report says, the men and women who wrote the law may find that the guarantee of stability does not apply to them.

“It is unclear whether members of Congress and Congressional staff who are currently participating in F.E.H.B.P. may be able to retain this coverage,” the research service said in an 8,100-word memorandum.

And even if current members of Congress can stay in the popular program for federal employees, that option will probably not be available to newly elected lawmakers, the report says.

As the Astute Blogger states, its the law of unintended consequences, or in this case the law of predictability when a Congress is so derelict and negligent in their duties as to not read a bill before voting on it.
