John Brennan, Obama Homeland Security & Counterterrorism Assistant Clueless … 20% Terrorism Recidivism “Is not that bad”

FRIGHTENING …

And Barack Obama wonders why Americans are concerned about how Democrats and his Administration conducts a war on terror and why Republicans question his policies and vision. Really?

So we are supposed to feel safe when the Obama Homeland Security & Counterterrorism Assistant John Brennan compares terrorism recidivism to criminal recidivism and he says, “20% isn’t that bad.” WHAT!!! A 20% return rate for terrorist to fight is acceptable for the Obama Administration? Really, 1 out of 5 is ok for Barack Obama.

Remember when GWB and Condi Rice used to say that the United States had to be right 100% of the time when it came to terrorism?

“People sometimes use that figure, 20 percent, say ‘Oh my goodness, one out of five detainees returned to some type of extremist activity,’” Brennan said. “You know, the American penal system, the recidivism rate is up to something about 50 percent or so, as far as return to crime. Twenty percent isn’t that bad.”

How could a Presidential Administration compare criminal recidivism to that of terrorism. A criminal getting out of prison and committing another crime like theft or selling drugs to that of trying to kill 3000 US citizens. And the American people are supposed to feel safe and secure exactly how?

This morning on FOX News Sunday, SC Senator Lindsey Graham ripped into John Brennan for his indefensible statement and called for his resignation.

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham blasted President Obama’s chief counterterrorism adviser John Brennan saying he is “disconnected from the threats we face” and called for his resignation.  He says “it’d be better to have a new person in that job.”

“I don’t see how most Americans can feel safe when the head of counterterrorism tries to tell us you can get all the information you need within 50 minutes of an interview of a guy right off the airplane who tried to blow it up, and tries to tell us that the process did finally work, and say that a 20 percent recidivism rate’s OK in the war on terror,” Graham told Chris Wallace on “Fox News Sunday.”

Graham criticized the Obama administration’s terrorism policies arguing that they “make no sense.” “These policies are ill-conceived and they need to stop and start over,” he argued.  To do so, he offered to help the administration and work out a deal on closing Guantanamo Bay, as long as it ensures national security.

Well criminals are better at killing Americans than any terrorists ever were.

I would prefer a guy with a bomb to a murdering serial rapist.

SM: Please educate yourself. For your own sake. I don’t mind your opinions and sometimes 10% of an opinion might make sense, you you sound really foolish.

Are you really that narrow minded or does the Obama Kool-Aid really taste that good?

With terrorism deaths it is not just the body count, its the collateral damage as well. DUH! After 9-11, what happened to the transportation industry, planes, economy, bridges, tunnels, boats, harbors, nuclear power plants, regular power plants … etc.

You think all that happens with a serial killer? Trust me we deal with crime on this site, and although there is no room for these vermin either, terrorism does not compare.

      #4, #2′s not being naive.

This is the price you pay when you have to support a President hook, line and sinker at the cost of the US security.

The Libs used to say that those that opposed Barack Obama opposed the US success, now every one is realizing that opposing BO is supporting the US.

I really don’t care about bridges, companies, trains or whatever. I care about what you so concisely summarize as “bodycount”.

You can juggle definitions all you want. That you aren’t outraged by one out of 2 criminals going back to being criminals seems just based on the fact that you can’t blame it on the current government. The problems with our penal system are decades old.

That it somehow resocializes 80% of propaganda brainwashed mass murderers is rather impressive. I wouldn’t even believe that figure.

My comment aimed at putting things into perspective, nothing more. But I admit it did me all kinds of good seeing dave bite through another anger therapist.

Give BigO some time, maybe he’ll even fix it all.

I also don’t like the word terrorist. It is used to instill rather undirected fear(=terror) in us and as a badge of honour amongst our enemies. Don’t be scared! Don’t give them that kind of “respect”!

Call them what they are. Weak ignorant scheming and mislead murdering bastards. Nothing more.

If they had any pride at all, they would try to take us on fair and square and make their countries a better place to be. Like India who was happy to be our “outsource”. Or China. They got some serious skeletons in their closet, but so do we. I can respect that kind of pushing back.

Do not give them the attention and the blood of our kin. They are not worth it. Maybe one day they grow a backbone, pick up a shovel and build a future for their children. Throwing your life into someones face is easy, investing it is painful and hard.
