33 Year Old Tanya Nareau Arizona Mom Tries to Trade 2 Year Old Daughter for Gun

Mother of the Year … NOT!

Arizona tot mom Tanya Nareau will not be winning any mother of the year awards any time soon. The 33 year old Arizona mom has been arrested and accused of trying to trade her two year old daughter for a gun. Tanya Nareau has been charged with the unlawful sale of a child and solicitation to possess a weapon by a prohibited person.

Authorities say they have arrested an Arizona woman who traded her 2-year-old daughter for a gun.

Maricopa County sheriff’s deputies arrested 33-year-old Tanya Nareau of Mesa on Tuesday after receiving a tip.

Deputies say they spoke with a family friend who had the child and confirmed Nareau gave the girl to him for gun.

Deputies say Nareau felt the friend would do a better job raising the child than she would.

Tanya Nareau told the family friend she was giving her child to that she  couldn’t buy a gun because she was prohibited by law to buy one. There is a story in that statement unto itself.

New Hampshire Senate Election 2010: Kelly Ayotte (R) Leads Paul Hodes (D) 49% – 40%

Another Republican lead in a 2010 Senate race …

Former Attorney General Kelly Ayotte leads Democratic candidate Paul Hodes in New Hampshire’s US Senate contest 49%to 40%. Of all of the Republican candidates,  Ayotte remains their best chance of victory.

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of likely voters in the state finds Ayotte beating Hodes by nine points – 49% to 40%. Three percent (3%) prefer another candidate, and eight percent (8%) are undecided.

Ayotte, the state’s attorney general from 2004 until her resignation last July, led Hodes, a two-term member of the U.S. House of Representatives, by eight points – 46% to 38% – in September.
The Republican now has a six-point edge among voters not affiliated with either party – 44% to 38%.

Even in more liberal leaning New Hampshire, Obama care is only favorred by 46% of the voters while 52% oppose it. Paul Hodes, NH Representative voted for Obama care during the House vote which may come back to cost him his senate election bid. However, those who Strongly Oppose the health care plan outnumber those who Strongly Favor it by a two to one,  44% to 22%.

The Granite State could be yet another Senate seat lost by Democrats due to Barack Obama’s health care plan.

Nevada Senate Race 2010 Election: Harry Reid Falls Even Farther Behind in Polls to Republicans Tarkanian and Lowden

Stick a fork in Democratic Senate Majority leader Harry Reid … HE IS DONE!

Harry Reid loses seven more percentage points to both Republican challengers. Maybe the 7% Reid lost represents the “non-light skinned, negro dialect speaking” faction.

“I am how far behind, don’t they know who I am?”

Who would have thought this possible, but embattled Nevada Harry Reid has fallen even farther behind two of the Republican challengers for the Nevada Senate seat, Sue Lowden and Danny Tarkanian.

In the most recent Rasmussen poll, Harry Reid now trails Sue Lowden, 36% – 48% and Reid trails Danny Tarkanian, 36% – 50%. Since the last poll, Harry Reid has lost 7 more points to both candidates.

Support among Nevada voters for embattled Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s reelection has fallen even further following disclosure in a new book of remarks he made about Barack Obama during Election 2008.

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of likely voters in Nevada finds Reid earning just 36% of the vote against his two top Republican challengers. That’s a seven-point drop from 43% a month ago.
Reid, who is seeking a fifth term, received 61% of the final vote in 2004.

Harry Reid is all but finished as a Senator. Since his racially insensitive comments that all in the Democrat party including President Barack Obama have decided to play political double standard, many in the Republican party have asked Reid to step down from his Majority leader position.

However, it looks pretty certain that Republicans will retire Harry Reid altogether in the 2010 midterm elections. Yet another casualty of Obamacare.

Rev. Pat Robertson on Cause of Haitian Earth Quake …Ancient Haitians made “Deal with the Devil”

Oh dear Lord … He said WHAT!!!

Reverend Pat Robertson once again put his foot in his mouth and stated that the cause of the tragic and  catastrophic 7.0 magnitude earthquake that hit Haiti yesterday was the cause of many years ago the Haitian people making a deal with the devil to rid them self of French rule.

This is a lesson for all of the golden rule os speech … when you don’t have anything good to say, sometimes it’s best to say nothing at all … GOOD GRIEF!

With all the devastation, destruction and death in Haiti, do we really need this nonsense regarding deals with the devil?

The Rev. Pat Robertson is offering his own absurd explanation for why a quake hit Haiti: Many years ago, the island’s people “swore a pact to the devil.”

“Something happened a long time ago in Haiti, and people might not want to talk about it,” the controversial televangelist said during an interview Wednesday on the Christian Broadcasting Network.

“They were under the heel of the French…and they got together and swore a pact to the devil. They said, ‘We will serve you if you’ll get us free from the French.’”

Pat, with all due respect … some times there comes a time with such great human tragedy and suffering that one just shuts the hell up, offers their prayers and their help in what ever manner they can. Not this ridiculous dribble. I think I am going to have to second Jammie Wearing Fool’s hope that Robertson get some psych care.

“Yes, that surprised me,” Palin said tonight.  “I hadn’t seen the ’60 Minutes” thing.’ I had been warned, you know, don’t watch.  It’s a bunch of B.S. from [Steve] Schmidt and from some of those.”

Steve Schmidt was one of McCain’s top strategists. He told 60 Minutes that Palin repeatedly made false statements during the campaign that caused headaches for her handlers.

This is going to be a very interesting platform for Sarah Palin and how she plays it with any future aspirations of political office. For those pundits who thought her career was over, Republican pundits included, thing again. Sarahcuda is now part of the most watched cable news station. Just a few more eyes and ears on her now than in Alaska … YOU BETCHA!

Gallup Poll … News Lows For Obama on Health Care and Handling the Economy

Barack Obama’s poll numbers on handling the economy and healthcare are tanking!

New Gallup poll has new lows for President Obama’s handling of Health care. By a 58% to 37% margin, Americans disapprove with the manner in how Obama has handled health care. Gee Barack, I do believe that is called a mandate. By a 56% to 40% margin Americans disapprove on how Obama is handling the economy. That would appear to be yet another mandate.

Don’t look now Gallup but Democrats and the Obama WH will soon be slamming you like they did Scott Rasmussen when they did not like his polling data. Interesting thing is that all polling data is looking negative upon Barack Obama and his policies.

Is it any wonder why Democrats lost governor races in NJ, VA and are only 2 points ahead in the Senate race in Massachusetts. In one short year Obama has become a political liability.

Think there is not a political earthquake going to happen in 2010? You head in the sand Democrats better take a good look what is happening in Massachusetts. Win or lose … Brown has already won a major victory.

The big question on every one’s mind in the political world is can Republican Scott Brown do the impossible and defeat liberal Democrat Martha Coakley in Massachusetts for Ted Kennedy’s former US Senate seat?

Polls have been all over the place with this race; however, the most reputable name in the business has weighed in an a Rasmussen poll has Brown trailing by 2% points. 2 POINTS IN MASSACHUSETTS!!! Independents are fleeing from Coakley much like they are with Obama. I am sensing a trend here.

Among voters not affiliated with either major party, Brown leads 71% to 23%. To be clear, this lead is among unaffiliated voters who are likely to participate in the special election.

The fact of the matter is, Brown and Republicans … better yet, We the People have already won. The idea that a Senate seat is in play in BLUE, BLUE, BLUE Massachusetts speaks volumes and should cause every Democrat incumbent and potential candidate to lose sleep. If Democrats cannot count on Mass as a sure things … all House and Senate seats are in play.

Just how liberal is Massachusetts, the moderation David Gergen actually referred to the US Massachusetts Senate seat as Teddy Kennedy’s seat. Talk about entitlement. Want to know why Brown is a star and doing the near impossible in The Bay State, listen to his response to the ridiculous comment made by a bias moderator …

“With all due respect, it’s not the Kennedy’s seat, it’s not the Democrats’ seat, it’s the people’s seat.”

• More intrigue on the late night comedy battlefield heats ups between Jay Leno, Conan O’Brien and an incompetent NBC Peacock network. They managed to take two successful late night comedy shows with Leno & O’Brien and upset every one and destroy the ratings.

What has become of the NBC network? The once proud Peacock, now manages to screw up their comedy programming. Their actions becoming folly for late night comedy foe David Lettermen.

NBC’s answer to their mess was to change Leno’s show from 10pm to 11:30, one half hour before O’Brien and pushing “The Tonight Show” to 12. However, Conan O’Brien says not so fast to the Peacock …

A representative for Mr. O’Brien said Tuesday that the issue came to a head for the host on Monday and that he had “sat up all night drafting the statement.” NBC, whose “Tonight Show” has been broadcast at 11:35 p.m. for decades, declined to comment. Mr. O’Brien was scheduled to do “The Tonight Show” on Tuesday night.

In a statement Tuesday afternoon, Mr. O’Brien said, “I sincerely believe that delaying the ‘Tonight Show’ into the next day to accommodate another comedy program will seriously damage what I consider to be the greatest franchise in the history of broadcasting. ‘The Tonight Show’ at 12:05 simply isn’t the ‘Tonight Show.’”

7.0 Earthquake Rocks Haiti, Reports of Much Damage, Casualties and Deaths

CATASTROPHIC!!!

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a magnitude 7.0 quake struck Haiti shortly before 5 pm and was centered about 10 miles southwest of Port-au-Prince. As reported by the AP, US officials reported bodies in the streets and many feared dead. An aid official described “total disaster and chaos.”

Please pray for those in Haiti. The Haiti Ambassador to the US said stated, “please tell the world that Haiti needs them right now.”

The United States has always come to the aid of Haiti in the past and will once again step up to the plate to help the people of Haiti in the wake of this terrible disaster.

A major earthquake struck southern Haiti on Tuesday, knocking down buildings and power lines and inflicting what its ambassador to the United States called a catastrophe for the Western Hemisphere’s poorest nation.

Several eyewitnesses reported heavy damage and bodies in the streets of the capital, Port-au-Prince, where concrete-block homes line steep hillsides. There was no estimate of the dead and wounded Tuesday evening, but the U.S. State Department has been told to expect “serious loss of life,” department spokesman P.J. Crowley told reporters in Washington.

There are reports of damage and casualties. Communications have been badly affected and in many areas there have been loss of electricity.

“It’s really dark, there’s no electricity. There’s a lot of cars on the streets, and people are afraid to get inside of the house. We cannot expect electricity for anytime soon,” said Pedrel.

“I see a lot of people on the streets, crying for help. I know there’s a lot of people under the building collapse. A lot of traffic, people crying, people bleeding. It’s a disaster,” Pedrel said.

It is also being reported that there are bodies in the street. US official said a “serious loss of life” was expected. I cringe to think what the loss of life may be like in this impoverished Caribbean nation.

Witnesses reported damaged buildings throughout the capital, including the president’s residence and century-old homes nearby, and The Associated Press reported that a hospital collapsed. President Rene Preval is safe, Joseph said, but there was no estimate of the dead and wounded Tuesday evening.

Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, this is about the last thing that Haiti needed. What they will need is our support, help and prayers.

The NY Post is reporting it as a 7.3 magnitude earthquake with two powerful aftershocks measuring 5.9 and 5.5 on the Richter scale.

The Red Cross pledged an initial $200,000 in aid. “We do have staff on the ground – we have not been able to reach them,” said Red Cross spokesman Abbi Weaver.

Witnesses said the streets of the capital were full of panicked people, and screams were coming from under the piles of rubble seen everywhere.

People were clawing at the rubble with their bare hands, trying to save loved ones, witnesses said.

The American Red Cross is pledging an initial $200,000 to assist communities impacted by this earthquake, and is prepared to take further action as local responders assess the situation. As with most earthquakes, we expect to see immediate needs for food, water, temporary shelter, medical services and emotional support.
