Could it be that the majority of Democrats are not as far left in the political spectrum as Barack Obama?

Could it be that some Democrats are finally opening their eyes and recognizing that the far left ideology embraced by Barack Obama does not reflect the principles which defines our democratic system?

house democrats are already crawfishing, calling for a stall on healthcare until Brown is seated. they look at Brown as a real leader. he seems to know more now than obama has learned since he has been in this country.
i think democrats and other parties will look to brown for answers.
healthcare will not pass if democrats won’t vote for it. trying to force it through is pelosi talking out of her ass. of course, it probably matches her face.

I was pleased to hear young voter’s are against being forced to BUY health ins by the government or you’ll be fined. I was curious how that was settling with those who voted for him.

The only jobs created are Government jobs, paid for with taxpayer’s revenue they haven’t even collected yet. The stimulis money went to *save* jobs alright, GOV. Job’s where people who draw a salary from American taxpayer’s spend their time in office thinking up new ways to tax us so they can keep on *gettin paid*.

I like this new Senator of MA! He stayed on the high road running for this seat & he was respectful of Ted Kennedy & family very early in his acceptence speech.

I think Pelosi, Obama are going to try to ram this healthcare bill through & down our throats and tell us we’ll just have to learn to like it.

I would also like to state for the record that the voters of Massachusetts DID vote for Brown because of his stances AGAINST the stupidity and irresponsibility taking place in Washington and in the White House. Don’t let anybody get away with saying that it was “local” like Tip O’Neal said. Not this time. If Obama and crew didn’t do what they did then Coakley would have been the next Senator. Although she ran a terrible campaign and Brown ran a great one, this was ABSOLUTELY A REFERENDUM on what’s going on in the rest of the country and in Washington.

Tamikosmom: I’m from Mass and I have studied the election results by towns and cities and it looks like Coakley won the places where the “takers” outnumber the “producers”, where political elitists and insiders tend to live and Brown won substantially in the suburbs where Democrats, Republicans, and Independents have been taxed to the limit. There was a substantial number of Democrats that voted for Brown specifically because of the Health Care Bill, government intervention into our personal lives, taxes, and spending. So I guess the answer to your question, at least in my Commonwealth, is we are UNITED against goverment overspending, overtaxing, overintruding into our personal lives, and don’t like political elitist snobs that think they know what’s best for us and want to ram things down our throats that we don’t want but are expected to pay for.

Top Senate Democrat Outlines ‘Nuclear Option’ Strategy for Health Care

A top Senate Democrat for the first time Tuesday acknowledged that the party is prepared to deal with health care reform by using a controversial legislative tactic known as the “nuclear option.”

With Republican Scott Brown seizing victory in the Massachusetts special election for U.S. Senate, Democrats are under pressure to quickly pass health care reform before he arrives — since Brown will break the party’s 60-vote, filibuster-proof majority.

Even before polls closed, Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin, D-Ill., said “there are options to still pursue health care.”

Washington (CNN) – A moderate Democratic senator is calling on his colleagues to shelve health care reform legislation until Massachusetts Republican Scott Brown takes his seat in the United States Senate.

“In many ways the campaign in Massachusetts became a referendum not only on health care reform but also on the openness and integrity of our government process, Sen. Jim Webb of Virginia said in a statement Tuesday after Brown defeated Democrat Martha Coakley in the special election for the late Sen. Edward Kennedy’s seat.

“It is vital that we restore the respect of the American people in our system of government and in our leaders. To that end, I believe it would only be fair and prudent that we suspend further votes on health care legislation until Senator-elect Brown is seated.”
