Obama Gives Himself a “B” … Barack Obama Hits New Low in Rasmussen Poll, Only 44% Approval Rating
Talk about setting the bar low?
I guess this is the reason why students should not given themselves grades on their own. Barack Obama gave himself a “B” for his first months in office. A “B”, the President would have been better off stating that his time in office was more like T-ball and no one was keeping score.

US President Barack Obama, in remarks aired late Sunday, awarded himself a B plus for his first 11 months in office, stressing in an interview with talk show queen Oprah Winfrey that there was still much to be done.
“A good solid B plus,” Obama said during an hour-long, intimate soft-focus ABC network Christmas at the White House special, when Winfrey asked what grade he would give himself.
As the Gateway Pundit states, Obama has dropped 48 points in his approval index in less than one year and that is grounds for a “B”. Mmm, mmm, mmm … Barack Hussein Obama.
President Barack Obama keeps setting records. This time he hits an all-time new low in the Daily Rasmussen poll for job approval. Only 44% of voters now approve of the job that Obama is doing for America. What might be even more surprising, or worrisome for Obama is that only 72% and 77% of Democrats and Liberals, respectively approve of The One’s job performance. Hardly a ringing endorsement.
Overall, 44% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President’s performance. That’s the lowest level yet measured for this president. Previously, his overall approval rating had fallen to 45% twice, once in early September and once in late November.
Fifty-five percent (55%) now disapprove.

Al Gore’s Inconvenient or is it an Inconsistent Truth … His Lies About Global Warming … North Pole is Melting
Why does any one listen or take Al Gore serious?
In the end, Al Gore’s tale about global warming really is an Inconvenient Truth, his own. What, you mean every one did not realize Gore was just making this stuff up as he went along and no one dared actually challenge what the Goricle was saying?

The only hot air is coming from Gore and Climategate
What, Al Gore get caught with a factual fabrication? Say it isn’t so. The real story is that some one actually called him on it. This is the face of global warming … the court jester, Al Gore. I guess the center of the earth is a million degrees too, isn’t it Al?
There are many kinds of truth. Al Gore was poleaxed by an inconvenient one yesterday.
The former US Vice-President, who became an unlikely figurehead for the green movement after narrating the Oscar-winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth, became entangled in a new climate change “spin” row.

Barack Obama Daily Presidential Tracking Poll at -19%
According to the most recent Rasmussen Daily Presidential Tracking Poll, Barack Obama has hit yet a new all time low. The One is now at -19%. OUCH!!! Barack Obama has been at negative double digits in this poll for 25 straight polling days and continues to go downward.

Every place you look, Barack Obama poll numbers are tanking. The downward tends are obvious in every poll and momentum of a snow ball heading down hill appears to be the where Obama poll numbers are heading.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 23% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-two percent (42%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -19.
Today is the second straight day that Obama’s Approval Index rating has fallen to a new low. Prior to the past two days, the Approval Index had never fallen below -15 during Obama’s time in office (see trends).
The 23% who Strongly Approve matches the lowest level of enthusiasm yet recorded. Just 41% of Democrats Strongly Approve while 69% of Republicans Strongly Disapprove. Among voters not affiliated with either major party, 21% Strongly Approve and 49% Strongly Disapprove.
Former British PM Tony Blair Defends War in Iraq, Lack of WMD’s and Removal of Sadam Hussein … “I would still have thought it right to remove him”
Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair defends the war in Iraq and the ousting of Saddam Hussein, even with out the presence of WMD’s, weapons of mass destruction.
“I would still have thought it right to remove him.”
Tony Blair, hardly a conservative, defended the justification of the removal of Saddam Hussein even without the finding of WMD’s. One would think that the removal of a tyrant, rape rooms, and a future of of his two sons ruling the country would be a positive for the people and woman of Iraq.
If you asked the people of Iraq, do you think the majority of them would say they are better off without Saddam? Face it, in the end … GWB and Blair were right.
Reporting from London – Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair has said he would have found a justification for invading Iraq even without the now-discredited evidence that Saddam Hussein was trying to produce weapons of mass destruction.
“I would still have thought it right to remove him. I mean, obviously you would have had to use and deploy different arguments about the nature of the threat,” Blair told the BBC in an interview to be broadcast this morning.
It was a startling admission from the onetime British leader, who was President Bush’s staunchest ally in the decision to invade Iraq in 2003.
Blair’s comments were immediately denounced by critics who accused him of using false pretenses to drag Britain into an unpopular war that has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of allied troops and tens of thousands of Iraqi civilians.
Speaking to broadcaster Fern Britton, Blair insisted that ousting Hussein had improved the situation in Iraq by laying the foundation for a more democratic country. He described the upcoming Iraqi elections as “probably the single most significant thing that’s happened to that region for many years.”

Colorado Senate Race Election 2010: Republican Challenger Jane Norton Leads Both Democrats Michael Bennet & Andrew Romanoff
Colorado … Another Republican Senate Win in 2010?
Colorado appears to be yet another potential Senate Republican pick up for the 2010 elections. Republican challenger, former Lieutenant Governor Jane Norton, is leading both Democrat incumbent Senator Michael Bennet and former Democratic state House Speaker Andrew Romanoff. Jane Norton leads incumbent Michael Bennet 46% – 37%. Nortaon leads Andrew Romanoff 45% – 34%.

Jane Norton, the next Senator from Colorado?
Michael Bennet was named to the Senate by Democratic Governor Bill Ritter after Senator Ken Salazar became secretary of the Interior. Bennet will have a primary challenger in his own party, Andrew Romanoff. In either event, however, Jane Norton is a double digit leader over both.
The election is nearly a year away, but right now former Lieutenant Governor Jane Norton appears to be the Republican with the best shot of beating either of the potential Democratic candidates in Colorado’s race for the U.S. Senate.
A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the state finds Norton beating incumbent Democratic Senator Michael Bennet 46% to 37%, virtually identical to her lead in September. Eight percent (8%) prefer some other candidate, and eight percent (8%) are undecided.
But Bennet, named to the Senate by Democratic Governor Bill Ritter after Senator Ken Salazar became secretary of the Interior, has a challenger in his own party, former state House Speaker Andrew Romanoff. Norton beats Romanoff 45% to 34%, little changed from the previous survey. Fifteen percent (15%) are undecided, while seven percent (7%) like another candidate.

Hope and Change seems to be working miracles in Colorado. With signs like this popping up in Colorado near a homeless camp, “Welcome to Obamaville,” is it any wonder why there has been a shift away from Democrats and Obama? Once again, The One with no coattails in Colorado.

The Sarah Palin Appeal … Sarah Goes Rogue On William Shatner on The Tonight Show
Sarah Palin goes “Rouge” on Palin-basher William Shatner and turns the table on Captain James T. Kirk and T.J. Hooker on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien
Why do so many people connect with former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin? Because she has such a presence, humor and a pure quality about her that resonates with the every day man and woman. Her sense of humor and timing is uncanny. Even the Palin-haters in the audiance were hard pressed to not be taken aback and laugh. Palin turning the tables on late night talk shows? Imagine her popularity if these folks lighten and see Palin in a different light. What would happen to Palin’s popularity if all of the media was not against her? Hmm.
This is a must watch video as Sarahcuda stole the show.
Hat Tip: Gateway Pundit
This was the Sarah Palin that so many became enamored with during the 2008 Presidential election. Sarah Palin showing up on the Tonight Show and turning the tables on William Shattner was priceless.
Houston Becomes Largest US City to Elect Openly Gay Mayor (Annise Parker) Not That there is Anything Wrong with That
Houston, Texas has become the largest US city in America to elect an openly gay mayor … Ala Seinfeld, “not that there is any thing wrong with that”. Hopefully, she will be a Mayor for all Houstonians and her sexual preference will not make a difference whatsoever.
Houston became the largest city in the United States to elect an openly gay mayor on Saturday night, as voters gave a solid victory to the city controller, Annise Parker.
Cheers and dancing erupted at Ms. Parker’s campaign party as her opponent, Gene Locke, a former city attorney, conceded defeat just after 10 p.m. when it became clear he could not overcome her lead.
With all precincts reporting, Ms. Parker, the city controller, had defeated Mr. Locke 53 percent to 47 percent.
Throughout the campaign, Ms. Parker tried to avoid making an issue of her sexual orientation and emphasized her experience in overseeing the city’s finances. But she began her career as an advocate for gay rights in the 1980s, and it was lost on no one in Houston, a city of 2.2 million people, that her election marked a milestone for gay men and lesbians around the country.
With such a low turnout in an off year special election it is hard to draw any conclusions from this election. According to reports, only a dismal 16% of registered voters turned out to vote. With only 16% of voter turnout, it will be interesting to see what happens in a mayoral election in a normal election cycle. I would second the comment that Outside the Beltway made that more people in Houston know the name of the head coach of the Houston Texans that they do their newly elected mayor.
Question, is an openly gay elected individual not the Mayor of all people? Will Annise Parker govern with a bias toward gays vs. heterosexuals? If so, she will last one term. Was Parker was elected on with a low turnout and a motivated gay and lesbian base?
“This election has changed the world for the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered community. Just as it is about transforming the lives of all Houstonians for the better, and that’s what my administration will be about,” Parker told supporters after Locke conceded defeat.
Parker, 53, has never made a secret or an issue of her sexual orientation. But it became the focus of the race after anti-gay activists and conservative religious groups endorsed Locke and sent out mailers condemning Parker’s “homosexual behavior.”
“Tonight the voters of Houston have opened the doors to history,” she said. “I acknowledge that. I embrace that. I know what this win means to many of us who thought we could never achieve high office. I know what it means. I understand, because I feel it, too. But now, from this moment, let us join as one community. We are united in one goal in making this city the city that it can be, should be, might be, will be.”
