tuyvnsurvivor: Like you, I was at one of the first Tea Parties in Overland Park, KS on a day which was 20 degrees. We also attended the March on Washington DC on 9/12/2009 which was an awesome site to behold. I don't believe there have ever been so many citizens who paid their own way to march on Washington especially with just about 2 months notice.

#3, you are so correct. Thankfully and fortunately, I get to be proud of going to one of the first Tea Party's (and then more). In Burleson Texas, where people trying to turn in coming from the North, had to make an illegal turn accross a silly double yellow line. ANd cops, 4 and 5 of them were writing multiples of tickets. For far less energy and the only precaution in safety, would have put the cops to directing the traffic, orderly, accross the road. Local news would not report this even as I and others pointed it out to them.

In the parking lots, suits went around taking down license palte numbers. What a hoot. The more self disciplened people of the area are at this function, and we got reported in media and by liberals as trouble makers, or insignificant.

But before I went to those early Tea Parties, numerous people wished us 'at a boys'. But there was never a risk I noticed. NIce people, p'd at gov. People wanting to preserve freedom, demand the use of our constitution, enforcement of our laws -- illegal turns also...I suppose. People calling Republicans lazy and mealy mouthed while the liberals go about wrecking our country, with a few things Bush did as well. Though democrats really get the "liar" lable.

Going random here: I did not wear any military do dad's. I never have. Though much respect those who do. One of the Tea Party common complaints is however, not enough true respect of todays military personnel. Which reminds me, Merry Christmas to them. And thank you.

Watch what happens when the primaries get going in the spring of 2010. Where a single visible tea-partyer is found there are three to five more with the same thinking about our government.

"We the people" need to fire all in the House of Represenatives except a very few and as many of the Senators that are up for election in the year 2010.

The Tea Party is but the vocal chapter of the Silent Majority.

There seem to be literally millions more behind them!
