Be very afraid America … this is no coincidence that such a recommendation came out now as Obama and Democrats try and pass universal healthcare. How do you think that a government run option can afford to pay for 41 million new insured’s, they cut costs by calling screenings or procedures unnecessary. Welcome to the trial balloon birth of rationed health care.

A Government Task Force has stated that self-breast exams do no good and some women don’t need to start getting mammograms until they’re 50. Welcome to the beginning of Obamacare and socialized, government controlled healthcare. This is how it begins, a government task force turning decades old health care breast screening protocol on it’s head.

Shocking recommendations given the American Cancer Society has encouraged women for more than 20 years to do monthly self-exams and start getting routine mammograms in their 40s.

The government task force, which is made up of doctors and scientists, reported getting screened too early causes false alarms and unnecessary biopsies.

Dr. Robert Pulliam, of Professional Medical Ultrasonics in Beckley, said early detection of any form of cancer increases survival rates.

How many woman in their 40’s are alive today because the received a mammograms and had early detection of breast cancer? In this day and age, sadly, pretty much every one knows some one who has had breast cancer. Personally, I think this is appalling. Having had so many relatives and friend’s moms and sisters be diagnosed with breast cancer in their 40’s … I take this personally. This is the slippery slope of health care when a so-called “independent” government task force of doctors try and change what has worked for years. Shame on you! 

In its first reevaluation of breast cancer screening since 2002, the independent government-appointed panel [talk about your oxymorons] recommended the changes, citing evidence that the potential harm to women having annual exams beginning at age 40 outweighs the benefit.

Ken Ober of MTV’s 80′s Remote Control Dead at Age 52

Sad news from the MTV world of days gone by … Ken Ober, the host of the 1980’s game show “Remote Control” has passed away at the age of 52. The cause of death was not immediately known.

Lee Kernis, a manager at Brillstein Entertainment Partners who represented Mr. Ober for more than 20 years, said that Mr. Ober was found dead on Sunday. He said that Mr. Ober was last heard from on Saturday night, when he spoke to a friend and complained of a headache and flu-like symptoms. Mr. Ober told the friend that he was going to take something and would see a doctor as soon as possible.

Mr. Ober, who was born in Brookline, Mass. and raised in Hartford, Conn., grew up idolizing game show hosts like Bob Barker and Bob Eubanks, and went on to host four game shows of his own, including a revived version of “Make Me Laugh” in 1997. But his breakthrough came a decade earlier when Mr. Ober, a contestant on the televised talent show “Star Search,” became the host of the MTV series “Remote Control” in 1987.

Who didn’t watch Remote Control in the 80’s?

I admit it, I watched this spoof game show all the time, back when MTV was actually worth watching. Remember when they used to actually play videos and be funny? CNN said of Ken Ober and his cult hit game show, “that MTV game show “Remote Control” was among the network’s first forays into non-music programming, has died at age 52. Might I add, one of the few forays that was successful.

Morgan Harrington Case: 2 Unidentfied Bodies Found in Different Locations

Roanoke, VA Laurel, MD– Two bodies of unidentified individuals, one confirmed female, were found this morning in Roanoke, VA and Laurel MD, respectively.

The remains in Roanoke, which is also the town Morgan Harrington’s family home is located, were spotted by a coal train employee near the tracks under the Wasena Bridge. The Medical Examiner is on the scene and it is believed to be the body of a female.

Wouldn’t This be Something … Doug Hoffman un-concedes in NY-23 US House Race

My what a difference a day makes. In this case several weeks. However, it it is being reported at The Hill that Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman has “un-conceded” in New York’s 23 special House election.

It was kind of head scratching that Hoffman conceded as fast as he did election night to Democrat Bill Owens. However, when one is given faulty info, what do you expect. I am sure it was completely unintentional. As others surmise, wouldn’t this be interesting and a kick in the Pelosi pants if Hoffman actually won.

Hoffman conceded the race on Election Night after learning he trailed Owens by 5,335 votes. But the Syracuse Post-Standard reported last week that the margin had shrunk to 3,026 votes after recanvassing.

Body of Missing 5 Year Old NC Girl Shaniya Davis Found ; Antoinette Davis & Mario Andrette McNeill facing Charges

God Bless this Little Angel …

Sadly, the body of missing 5 year old Shaniya Davis has been discovered Monday off a rural road in Sanford, NC about 30 miles from her home, nearly a week after her mother reported her missing from a mobile home park.

Shaniya Davis had been missing since November 10, 2009 in Fayetteville, NC. What a tragic and heinous life this little child lived. How could anyone, especially one’s own mother do such a thing to their child? May she now be finally in peace. One thing is for certain, she is now in a better place where no one can ever harm this poor child ever again.

 5 year old Shaniya Nicole Davis – the death of a little angel

When 5-year-old Shaniya Davis of North Carolina went missing, suspicion turned to a man described as her mother’s boyfriend. As he was let go, police targeted another man spotted on hotel surveillance footage holding the child. Then, authorities arrested the girl’s mother and accused her of offering her daughter for prostitution.

The arrests offered a glimmer of hope Shaniya would be found alive, but searchers discovered the girl’s body Monday off a rural road, nearly a week after her mother reported her missing from a mobile home park.

Hundreds of volunteers who helped look for Shaniya left the search area dejected, unable to bring her home to her father, 7-year-old brother and the dolls she so loved.

Shaniya’s mother, 25-year-old Antoinette Davis has been charged by police with human trafficking and felony child abuse, saying Shaniya was offered for sex. Unreal. How could a mother do such a thing to her own daughter? Also charged was 29 year old Mario Andrette McNeill with kidnapping.

• A short animated clip on the network recently called Sarah Palin a TWILF and accused Limbaugh of being a vector for the “Stupid Virus”. Real classy stuff.

Days after announcing another huge layoff, Al Gore’s Current TV referred to former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as a “Gun-Ho” and a “TWILF.”

These disgraceful, sexually-charged epithets were part of an attack on prominent conservatives such as Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck, and came in the form of a cartoon ironically titled “The Stupid Virus”:

Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch Mc Connell on FNS … Discussing KSM Trial in NYC, Obamacare and Tax Payer Paid for Abortions

Republican Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell appeared on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace and had many things to say regarding the Obama policies on trying Khalid Sheik Mohammed in NYC, GITMO prisoners, Obamacare in the Senate and having tax payers pay for abortion. McConnell stated that the Senate will not rush the health care bill.

With regards to trying KSM in a civilian court in NYC rather than a military tribunal:

MCCONNELL: Unfortunately, we had that very vote on the Lieberman- Lindsey Graham amendment just a week ago, and 54 Democrats voted opposed, frankly, having the trials down in Guantanamo. So it looks to me like the administration is going to do this. They seem to be sort of hell-bent to do it.

I agree with the family of Daniel Pearl. You know, KSM murdered their son. And they said, “Why in the world would we want to give him the show trial that he desires?”

Good Lord, I have never had anyone be this subservient and apologetic. Looks like Obama is at it again, apologizing for the US when they have done nothing to apologise for.

Of course the Obama Administration tried to deflect the protocol gaffe by saying that he was following protocol. This coming from the same people who said that Obama did not bow to the Saudi King.

The LEFT can drink the Kool-Aid all they want and defend the indefensible. We have become accustomed to that. However, the fact remains as stated at Hot Air … a Japan expert to ABC: Yes, Obama’s bow made him look like an idiot.

So much of an idiot, in fact, that according to Tapper’s source, at least one Japanese paper isn’t running the photo out of embarrassment. This tool actually groveled himself into a minor international incident.

GM Reports $1.2 Billion Loss for 3rd Qtr … This is Good News? What High Standards They Have

Hooray … Happy Days at GM … $1.2 billion loss for 3rd quarter.

GM, Government Motors, has great news … – General Motors Co. says it lost US$1.2 billion since it left bankruptcy protection. This is reported as good news. Can you imagine what a bad report would be? Can you imagine that a $1.2 billion loss is considered good and shows progress?

GM said its improved performance was fueled by new products including the Chevrolet Camaro muscle car, and the Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain midsize crossover vehicles. The company’s top sellers through October were the Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and Impala full-size car.

Also, GM’s global presence helped the company, particularly in China, where its sales of 478,000 in the third quarter increased 6 percent over the second quarter.

The company cautioned that the earnings numbers mean little because they don’t comply with U.S. accounting standards and cover only the part of the quarter after GM left Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on July 10.

Even more unusual is the $79.4 billion profit the troubled automaker is reporting for the first nine days of the third quarter, when it remained under bankruptcy court protection but was able to scrap colossal amounts of debt and other obligations from its balance sheet.

Just a hunch, but I don’t think any one will be buying GM stock any time soon.
