Election 2010 Pennsylvania Senate: Republican Pat Toomay Leads Dem Arlan Specter, Poll ‘near fatal’ for Specter
Specter in real trouble in PA … Could the Senate seat go back to being Republican again? Could this election be another commentary on Barack Obama and the far swing to the LEFT?
Republican challenger Pat Toomay still leads incumbent Republican turned Democratic Senator Arlen Specter by 45%–40%. The more the discussion goes on regarding Obamacare and is pushed down the throats of Americans, the worse Specter’s numbers will get.
Forty-six percent (46%) of Pennsylvania voters have a favorable opinion of Specter while 52% offer an unfavorable assessment of the longtime GOP senator who became a Democrat in April rather than face Toomey in a party primary. Those numbers are a few points better than they were in August.
Just 17% have a Very Favorable opinion of Specter while 37% hold a Very Unfavorable view. The comparable numbers for Toomey are 14% Very Favorable and nine percent (9%) Very Unfavorable. Sestak earns Very Favorable reviews from 10% and Very Unfavorable assessments from 11%.
A Susquehanna Poll in February found 38% of Pennsylvania’s believed Specter deserved to be re-elected. It has got worse. Only 31% now believe that Democratic Senator Arlen Specter should be re-elected, while 59% believe that it’s time for new blood.
More poll numbers at Real Clear Politics show that Specter sounds beats Sestak in the Democratic primary.

Florida US Representative Democrat Robert Wexler to Resign from Congress
Seven term US Representative Robert Wexler, D-Boca Raton, has stated that he is resigning from Congress. He is reportedly taking a job with a nonprofit that promotes peace in the Middle East.
Initial reports were that Wexler, an early supporter of Barack Obama, might be in line for an appointment in the Obama administration. However, it appears that Wexler is taking a public policy job that deals with the Middle East.
This resignation is kind of ironic if you think about it. A US Rep that supports Obama who claims he is against lobbyists, leaves Congress to become a J-Street lobbyist. Or is the word I am looking for hypocrisy? The Astute Blogger has the scoop of Wexler’s new gig at the Center for Middle East Peace and Economic Cooperation.
Macsmind speculates that Wexler past has caught up to him

People Magazine Has First Pic, Photo of Kidnap Survivor Jaycee Dugard … ” I’m So Happy to be Back!”
Jaycee Dugard tells People Magazine … I’m So Happy to be Back!
Jaycee Dugard had been missing since January 10, 1991. The 11 year old was last seen walking to her bus stop in Lake Tahoe, CA when she was abducted. No one had ever seen or heard from her since.
Flash forward 18 years …
After being kidnapped and held against her will for 18 years … Jaycee Lee Dugard was found SAFE and ALIVE!!!
After 18 years, 29 year old Jaycee Lee Dugard walked into a California police station. A convicted sex offender and his wife were arrested in the kidnapping of Jaycee Lee Dugard. For 18 years Jaycee Lee Dugard had been kept as a sex slave. How many times do we need to say it, there is no such thing as a one time sex offender and they cannot be cured. Paroling sex offenders and unleashing them on an unsuspecting society should never be an option.

This is what 11 year old Jaycee Dugard looked like when she was abducted and subsequently held for 18 years. Sadly, Jaycee Dugard had children with her convicted sex offender captor, 58 year old Phillip Garrido.
Now People Magazine has the first, exclusive pics, photos and story of kidnap survivor Jaycee Dugard. Read the amazing story … 18 years in the making.
Jaycee Dugard released her first public statement and current photograph.
It’s the story that all families, friends and loved ones can grab a hold of and hope for a positive outcome of a missing person of their own. Although these cases are too often to few of such and unexpected outcome … some times all a family has is hope. Jaycee Dugard’s story provided that hope to many families of missing persons.
NFL Casts Doubts on Limbaugh’s Bid to Become an Owner of St Louis Rams … GUTLESS!
HELD TO A HIGH STANDARD … WHO THE HELL ARE YOU KIDDING?
The NFL should be ashamed. This issue is greater than Rush Limbaugh and just to let you know, if you buckle to unfounded hate and race based agendas, you will be forever owned.
Will the NFL cave to race baiters and liars? It looks that way as the NFL and it’s commissioner Roger Goodell look like a bunch of spinless twits and are going to believe the misrepresentations of what others have said and not allow Rush Limbaugh to become an NFL owner.
Commissioner Roger Goodell said here Tuesday that it would be inappropriate for the owner of an NFL franchise to make the sort of controversial statements attributed in the past to conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh.
“I’ve said many times before we’re all held to a high standard here, and I think divisive comments are not what the NFL is all about,” Goodell said at an NFL owners’ meeting.
Rush Limbaugh looks to become an NFL owner; however, in typical and predictable fashion the LEFT haters come out of the woodwork.
Just curious NFL, was it a high standard that has denied former NFL greats, who made the NFL what it is today, medical care for their disabilities? Is it also that “high standard” that is responsible for what looks like a lock out in the not too distant future?
Roger Goodell, who are you kidding? You are held to high standards! Where? Have you taken a good look at some of the other NFL owners? Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay said he would not vote in favor of approving Limbaugh as an owner. He stated that he has met with Limbaugh once and considers him a nice guy, “but when you see the comments that are out there, I would not be comfortable.” When you see his comments out there? Like Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis does not have comments out there that more directly affect the NFL?
Here is a newsflash to the rich and elite known as the NFL owners … why don’t you just meet with Rush Limbaugh and ask him directly what he meant by any comments that you claim to have an issue with? Or is it his politics that you have an issue with?
Instead, the NFL, it’s owners and the powers that be would rather listen to so-called journalists with an agenda that are spreading slanderous lies! Who knew that the NFL was so cowardice! Rush Limbaugh has threatened to take legal action for the smear campaign against him.
And let us once again come back to the good commissioner’s comment where he said, “I’ve said many times before we’re all held to a high standard here. It would appear that The Corner has an issue as well with this statement as to what the NFL deems acceptable.
High standard? Is Michael Vick and example of that high standard Mr. Goodell? Because executing dogs and finding pleasure in it is among the highest standards we set in life. Oh, because Vick is now being mentored for the God-like Tony Dungy, that makes Vick ok now? Please! I can remember that Bill Clinton sought mentoring after Monica with the Rev, Jesse Jackson. No one believed that one either.
Here is an idea, why don’t you have Rush Limbaugh be mentored by Tony Dungy? Would that make it ok? It worked for the NFL and a dog killer.
How about Dante Stallworth? Is the NFL going to let this killer back in the league too? How is the NFL’s high standard going to deal with a DUI vehicular manslaughter?
Let’s see, you already let Ray Lewis back in the NFL with no questions asked who had been indicted for murder and aggravated assault but his attorney orchestrated a plea deal where Lewis plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of obstruction of justice.
Hmm … Plaxico Burris is now serving time for his night club gun exploits and will apply for reinstatement to the NFL when he is out of lockup.
Hey Roger, check it out … there is an NFL crimes blog for your “high standard” NFL.
As for owners, like let’s say Jim Irsay since he wanted to throw in his two cents. I guess it would be considered a “high standard” Mr. Irsay to leave Baltimore under the cloak of darkness with the Colts and move to Indianapolis? Hmm? Same holds true for Art Modell screwing the fans of Cleveland and moving the team to Baltimore and of course Raiders Al Davis moving the team all around California. These are all stand up and “high standard” moves.
As much as I love the NFL, I am inclined to agree with Macsmind and call for a Conservative boycott of the NFL. Roger Goodell and the NFL owners need to realize that bleeding heart, race baiting liberals do not watch the NFL.
UPDATE I: Rush Derangement Syndrome takes over the NFL
UPDATE II: Democrat Texas Rep Sheila Jackson Lee Bashes Rush on House Floor
Does these moonbats not have anything better to do on the tax payers dime? How is discussing whether Rush Limbaugh becomes an owner of the Rams doing the People’s work? Good grief. America, I beg you to send the bums packing in 2010.
UPDATE III: The LEFT Continues to thwart Limbaugh … Maybe not a good thing.
To the LEFT … Don’t ask for things, they might come true. One would think that the LEFT would want Limbaugh to become an owner of the Rams. Maybe, just maybe the new found hobby would take him away from Talk Radio. Alas, it appears that the LEFT has sabotaged Limbaugh in becoming a part owner. Good got the RIGHT and bad for Obama. Rush can now devote 100% of his time shredding Democrats, Liberals and Obama.
To the LEFT … I think you have awoke a sleeping GIANT!

You Mean Al Sharpton Doesn’t Have Anything Esle Better to do than Block Rush Limbaugh Buying the NFL’s St Louis Rams?
Al Sharpton playing the racism card with the NFL. America … are you sick and tired of this nonsense yet?
A word to the wise to NFL commissioner Robert Goodell and the NFL powers that be. Ever
take a good look at your NFL marketing product? The American flag waving and the supporting of the military; all of these are not liberal values.
Can some one please explain to me what business is it of Al Sharpton to interject himself in a private citizen wanting to buy a piece of an NFL team? Will playing the race card make a difference in the process? However, that is exactly what race-baiter Al Sharpton is doing. Al Sharpton looks to prevent an individual from owning a NFL team because he is a “White Conservative.” Is this the precedent that the NFL wants?
In the end whether Rush Limbaugh buys the St. Louis Rams or not, his point will be made. If you are a White Conservative, you are targeted and called a racist. Funny, the Democratic party has been doing a lot of that lately haven’t they? And everyone thought that once Barack Obama was elected that race relations would change. Why does it appear then that they have become worse?
By the way Al, you mean that you have nothing else better to do than interject yourself in another persons private business dealing? Maybe you should have been more concerned about Charlie Rangel’s tax difficulties? Or maybe, just maybe you could have spoke out against the heinous, brutal, hate crime rape and murder Christopher Newsom and Channon Christian in Knoxville, TN. Hmm? I thought so!
Al Sharpton has sent a letter to the NFL trying to block conservative radio talk show host from buying a share of the St. Louis Rams. Sharpton claims that Limbaugh has been “anti-NFL” is his comments. Anti-NFL? What exactly does that mean? Out of curiosity Al, do you even watch the NFL? The the shakedown letter HERE.
Obama Lost in Smallness Continues … White House War of Words with Fox News … Freedom of the Press
Barack Obama’s “Lost in Smallness” continues …
The Presidency of the United States is the single greatest bully pulpit in the world. The President
of the United States is the most powerful man in the world and the “leader” of the free world. or at least that is what it used to be. Why is it that Obama continues to diminish the role of the presidency and plays childish games with Fox News?
Why did Barack Obama become the Whiner & Chief? To the LEFT, meet your President, Barack “Richard Nixon” Obama.
It is a very dangerous slippery slope when a government tries to dictate and control the “Freedom of the Press”. It’s only a question of time before the shoe is on the other foot, then what? Will the LEFT be outraged then? Without a “free press” you have nothing more than propaganda.
For some reason the Obama Administration is lost in smallness. Fox News may be a giant in the cable news industry, but in the grand scope of things they are really not that significant. Who is their right mind as the big boy on the block takes on the smaller individual in a no win situation? Talks about a lose-lose. These are not the acts of the President of the United States, they are the actions of a community organizer. So then why does Barack Obama and his administration continue to play these dangerous and childish games with Fox News calling “Fox News a wing of the Republican Party?” To the LEFT I would dare say that you Obamamessiah is acting a bit Nixonian.
Is it possible that FOX News represents a greater threat to Obama and liberals than they will ever admit to? Why are you so afraid of one news outlet, when the rest are in your back pocket?

American Voters Against Obamacare 50% to 44% … Will the Finance Committee do the Will of the People?
As the Senate Finance Committee prepares for their vote Tuesday on it’s version of Obamacare, the most recent Rasmussen poll shows that the American voters are against Obamacare reform by a 50% to 44% margin. The question is will the Senate Finance Committee listen to the will of the people? The present Senate proposal requires Americans to buy insurance for pay a fine. That is opposed by Americans by an even greater rate, 55% – 32%.
If the congressional plan passes, 26% of voters say the quality of health care will get better, and 50% say it will get worse. In August, the numbers were 23% better and 50% worse.
Fifty-one percent (51%) say passage of the plan will make the cost of health care go up while 21% say it will make costs go down. In August, 52% thought the plan would lead to higher costs, and just 17% thought it would achieve the stated goal of lowering costs.
The version of the plan working its way through the U.S. Senate now includes a proposal that requires young and healthy Americans to either buy health insurance or pay a $750 annual penalty for not having it.
Just yesterday, the insurance lobbyists took the gloves off and released a PricewaterhouseCoopers analysis that stated that health coverage costs for families would increase by 111 percent in the next 10 years under provisions proposed by the Senate Finance Committee. They stated that the bill would drive up premiums.
