National Organization for Women (NOW) Blasts David Letterman Over Affair with Staff … “promoting a hostile, uncomfortable work environment”

Wow, who saw this coming? NOW goes after Letterman … promoting a hostile, uncomfortable work environment.

It appears that NOW does not find David Letterman’s affair a laughing matter.

NOW

You’ve come a long way baby, except on the David Letterman Show

NOW, the National Organization for Women has sharply criticized comedian David Letterman, accusing him of promoting a hostile, uncomfortable work environment. Yes, that’s exactly what he did by having an affair with a staffer. When one is in charge of hiring and firing, who is to say what another perceives on what is the standard into getting ahead.

NOW gets a hat tip for speaking out against Letterman.

“The latest Letterman controversy sheds new light on the widespread objectification of women in the workplace,” NOW said in a statement Tuesday. “Most women can attest to the fact that many workplaces are plagued with inappropriate behavior by men in power.”

The “Late Show With David Letterman” host admitted last week on his CBS program that he had sex with unnamed employees and had testified about those liaisons before a New York grand jury as part of an alleged extortion attempt.

Art Imitating Life … Obama’s Politics of Maybe, On Second Thought Maybe Yes, Maybe No

Rule #1 for being the President of the United States … The last thing in the world any voter should want, no matter what party they are from is an indecisive President.

As Michelle Malkin states, “if Barack Obama’s lack of authority and certitude weren’t costing so many lives, this would be comical”. Maybe? This is exactly the type of mentality that is needed when dealing with terrorism, the Iran nuclear threat and the war in Iraq & Afghanistan.

Barack Obama and the politics of maybe, wait a minute and on second thought. GOOD GRIEF!!!

A picture truly is worth a thousand words. The below piece of art is just some of the many one’s that “The One” has picked out for the White House. This one below is entitled “I think I’ll … ” by California artist Ed Ruscha.

Daily Commentary – Thursday, October 8th, 2009 – A Kidnapping Case in Baghdad … “Just Kill Him”

  • Unable to raise the funds, the victim’s father finally said in desperation, “just kill him”.

Haggling and gambling with your child’s life? Talking about taking a true gamble in life, literally.

By the third day of negotiating with his son’s kidnappers, Rasul Amoore had sold his car, withdrawn his bank savings and borrowed money from his siblings and friends to raise funds for the six-year-old’s release.

Kenny Rogers once sang the following in the song ‘The Gambler”. However, I am sure he only met with cards, not your child’s life. Luckily, this story had a happy ending.

You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run.
You never count your money when youre sittin at the table.
Therell be time enough for countin when the dealins done.

Now evry gambler knows that the secret to survivin
Is knowin what to throw away and knowing what to keep.
cause evry hands a winner and evry hands a loser,
And the best that you can hope for is to die in your sleep.

David Letterman Affair Scandal Boosts Rating … Rewarding Bad Behavior & Hypocrisy

Affair scandal is suck a ratings winner that maybe Letterman will make this a permanent piece on the show like the Top 10 List. Maybe he can call it “Stupid Dave getting Tricks”.

LETTERMAN_affair

Hmm, how can I turn this affair into a ratings grabber?

The Letterman apology for his cheating ways with having affairs with staffers of The David Letterman Show have boosted his ratings. How sad that Letterman be rewarded for bad behavior and embarrassing his wife.

His apologies meant another big night in the ratings. The Nielsen Co.’s overnight measurement of the nation’s 56 biggest markets netted Letterman’s “Late Show” a 4.2 rating – higher than anything rival NBC had in prime-time.

Nielsen didn’t immediately have an estimate of the size of Letterman’s audience. The overnight rating was slightly less than Thursday’s show, when 5.8 million people watched Letterman say he had been the victim of a $2 million blackmail threat that led him to reveal he had sex with staff members.

ABC asks the question whether David Letterman’s apology will work. Work how? It already has in the ratings and to those in TV land, what else matters? Letterman has been public about his being a “victim” in all this, but what about the staffers? And what about his wife!

Daily Commentary – Wednesday, October 7th, 2009 – the Casey Anthony Case in the death of Caylee Anthony

icon for podpress  Daily Commentary – Wednesday, October 7th, 2009 – the Casey Anthony Case [1:40m]: | Download

The defense team for Casey Anthony can spin the evidence any way they want to, the fact of the matter is that if they are trying to win in the court of public opinion … that dog won’t hunt.

You can’t spin away evidence, even though the defense team will try. When the defense cannot explain why Casey Anthony never reported that Caylee Anthony was missing for a month, trying to shoot holes in the forensic evidence is a moot point.
The other problem for the defense in the murder charges is the economic case with the check fraud.

Barack Obama Gallup Poll … 50% Job Approval, Will Healthcare, Tax Increases and Deficits Drop Obama into the 40′s?

The once 70% Gallup Job approval rating for Barack Obama is a distant memory in just eight short months. Obama finds himself with a 50% job approval rating and trending downwards.

The Rasmussen Report also has Obama hovering at the 50% mark. What will make Obama’s numbers tank altogether? When the CBO states that Obamacare will be so costly that tax increases will be required. Taxes on those who make less than $250K. Presently 59% of voters favor putting a provision in the health care reform plan that would prohibit any new taxes, fees or penalties on families who make less than $250,000 a year.

Caylee/Casey Anthony Case: Will a Conviction in Fraud Case Hemorrage the Defense Fund?

Orlando, FL– Since the State Attorney’s office filed their motion to proceed in the forgery, theft and fraud case against her, I have been positive this legal maneuver was the equivalent of bringing a bazooka to a thumb wrestling match.

CAsey_&_Amy

Doesn’t it appear that that bell just re-rung when the motion to proceed to trial on the economic crimes was granted?

Obama White House Blames Fox News for Safe School Czar Kevin Jennings’ Past … Inspired by a NAMBLA Supporter, Good Grief

If they can’t blame it on RIO or GWB, they blame it on Fox News.

Define irony and hypocrisy. A so-called “safe” schools czar that has a track record of not providing safety to children when confronted with an issue a boy and sex with an older man and a White House blaming the messenger rather than the one who committed the act.

“I think its a shame to watch what they (Fox News) do. I think its a shame …” White House Spokesman Robert Gibbs

This White House’s antics are growing really old.

So it’s the news’ fault that they actually bring up the past of an Obama czar who was never vetted and holds a position within the Obama Administration as a “safe” schools czar? Much like I guess it was other’s fault as well to expose the past of “green” czar Van Jones?

Safe School czar Jennings was inspired by Harry Hay. Who is Harry Hay? A long time supporter of NAMBLA.  Just what America needs in its schools to keep them safe, a man inspired by a NAMBLA supporter.  Remember when Obama said during the campaign, wait and see who I surround my self with?

In the early 1980s, Hay joined other early gay rights activists protesting the exclusion of the North American Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA) from participation in LGBT social movements, most noticeably pride parades–arguably the most visible signs of LGBT culture–on the grounds that such exclusions constituted a betrayal by the gay community. In 1983, at a New York University forum, sponsored by an on-campus gay organization, he remarked “[I]f the parents and friends of gays are truly friends of gays, they would know from their gay kids that the relationship with an older man is precisely what thirteen-, fourteen-, and fifteen-year-old kids need more than anything else in the world.” In 1986 Hay was confronted by police when he attempted to march in the Los Angeles pride parade, from which NAMBLA had been banned, with a sign reading “NAMBLA walks with me.”
