The 9/12 Washington, DC Tea Party Rally … What was the Attendance & Why the MSM is Downplaying the Numbers

One thing is for certain … “We the People” made our voice and presence known to Congress and to President Obama as to how we feel about the economy, taxes, deficit and Obamacare. You can no longer avoid the fact that there is a great deal of dissent against your policies … DO YOU HERE US NOW!!! If you don’t Democrats, Republicans, Blue Dogs, Rino’s and Obama … you will receive a pink slip soon.

In typical fashion the liberal MSM as down played the numbers of actual protesters that descended upon Washington, DC for the 9/12 Washington, DC Tea Party. ABC News is claiming that they never said that there were million, they are stating that there were 60 to 70 thousand. CBS News is reporting a vague tens of thousands. As pointed out by Stop the ACLU, CNN’s report has no number of protesters what so ever. The Washington Post reports tens of thousands as well. Folks, they shut DC down. What does that tell you as to how many people showed?

Sadly the liberal MSM would have you believe that the 9/12 Tax Payer protesters that showed in DC was some how comparable to an Obama rally in MN where The One ran off to instead of facing the music. Would it really kill the MSM to accurately report the dissent against the President that they carry the water for … Yes it obviously would.

However the Daily Mail is quoting 2 million.

Up to two million people marched to the U.S. Capitol today, carrying signs with slogans such as “Obamacare makes me sick” as they protested the president’s health care plan and what they say is out-of-control spending.

The line of protesters spread across Pennsylvania Avenue for blocks, all the way to the capitol, according to the Washington Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency.

Hot Air asks how big was the crowd with time lapse video. One thing is for certain, the crowd took DC authorities by surprise as the “freedom fighters” descending upon DC caused complete gridlock.

However big it was, it was bigger than expected. From the NYT: “Many came on their own and were not part of an organization or group. But the magnitude of the rally took the authorities by surprise, with throngs of people streaming from the White House to Capitol Hill for more than three hours.”

US Tennis Open, Anything But Serene … Serena Williams Loses her Mind and Match … “I’ll take this ball and shove it down your $#@$ Throat”

WOW, woman’s tennis just received an ugly black eye last night in NYC. Which is rather sad because the story of the US Open was the breath of fresh air, 17 year old Melanie Oudin from Marietta, Georgia who took Manhattan. Sadly, this US Open will forever be know for this controversial ending.

Serena Williams’ John McEnroe moment … “Are you serious!”

We have witnessed this type of behavior is football, basketball, baseball, soccer and hockey. We have even seen this type of behavior in other lesser events, but woman’s tennis? Even the antics of John McEnroe never came to such a sad and disgusting display of behavior like this.

Defending US Tennis Open champion Serena Williams goes postal on the lines judge during the semis last night and loses the match on a conduct violation. Her unprofessional and uncalled for behavior occurred on match point after the lines judge had called her for a foot fault on the previous serve. Losing a semi-finals match on verbal abuse on match point? WOW!

It still remains a mystery as to what Williams said to the lines judge. Williams denies that she said that “she would kill her.” Although, you can hear in the video that when Serena pleads her case with officials that she never said that she you kill her, fans in the background are heard to say, “yes you did”.  What was made out in the video is that Williams did threaten the lines judge by saying, “I’ll take this ball and shove it down your #%$&* throat.”

Amid the exchange, Williams could be heard saying to the lineswoman: “i didn’t say i would kill you. Are you serious?” It’s unclear exactly what she did say, but it was enough to earn her the code violation, and the match penalty.

Williams had already been given a warning, for breaking her racket after she lost the first set. This second code violation, by rule, cost her a point. With that penalty, the match ended.

After the line judge called the foot fault with Serena serving at 5-6, 15-30 in the second set, the youngest Williams sister intimidatingly stared her down before screaming at the official with a jabbed finger. After a few seconds, Serena turned back around to serve, thought better of it and resumed the badgering. The chair umpire then called over the line judge to ask what Serena had said, rules officials were summoned, a brief summit occurred at the net and it was determined that Serena would be assessed a point penalty for a conduct violation. The point gave Clijsters the match.

After the smoke, confusion and words had settled with this bizarre and confusing ending … Kim Clisters found her self in the finals and Serena Williams with egg on her face and a scar on her brilliant career.

Sadly in the post match interview, seen HERE, Serena Williams says, “she doesn’t know why she (the lines judge) would have felt threatened.” Gee Serena, maybe its because you were going off on her, shaking your racquet at her and threatening to shove a ball down her throat?

UPDATE I: Serena Williams fined Maximum $10K

Serena Williams has been fined $10K for her unsportsmanlike behavior for threatening a lines judge and reportedly, although denied by Williams threatening to kill her. Please tell me that this is not all that they are going to do against Serena Williams.

Serena Williams faces an anxious wait to see if she is to be banned from future Grand Slam tournaments following her controversial outburst at the U.S. Open.

Williams was levied with a $10,000 fine by the U.S. Open for unsportsmanlike conduct on Sunday for her foul-mouthed tirade at a line judge the night before, as she slumped to a semifinals defeat to Kim Clijsters. The fine was the maximum possible at this stage.

10K? Oh wait they are also fining her $500 for racquet abuse. WTF!!! Do you know how much these tennis players make? The entire amount of fines levied, $10,500 represents 3% of Williams earning for the US Open. Oh yeah, that’ll learn her. What a joke. For what she did, she should forfeit the entire amount of the purse the won and be suspended for future Grand Slam events. If not, there is nothing to ever stop her or another tennis player from doing the same thing in the future.

The Tax Payers March on Washington … we are tired and we are not going to take it any more. If any of you have watched TV coverage of the 9–12 Tea Party in Washington, DC, can I just say wow! God bless the folks that showed up to voice their opinion. They comer from all across America … hey Pelosi and the Dems, still think this is astroturf?

It appears that 100’s of thousands may have ascended upon Washington, DC.

BTW, President Obama escaped to Minnesota. What’s the matter Mr. President, sis you not want to witness the shock and awe of the Tea Party go’ers? Just like the many coward Democrat politicians that were too scared to have town hall meetings to face their constituents, Barack Obama hightailed it out of town so not to witness the beauty of Democracy in action.

Who’s Going to Count the Pimps and Ho’s … US Census Bureau Dumps ACORN

Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.

Yesterday the US Census Bureau sent a letter to the National Headquarters of ACORN notifying the group that the Census Bureau is severing all ties with ACORN.

The question remains, who is now going to count all the pimps and ho’s in the upcoming census in 2010? One thing is for certain, ACORN should have been given their walking papers long before the two “pimps & prostitutes” videos emerged.

The letter stated the following: (pdf of full letter here)

“Over the last several months, through ongoing communication with our regional offices, it is clear that ACORN’s affiliation with the 2010 Census promotion has caused sufficient concern in the general public, has indeed become a distraction from our mission, and may even become a discouragement to public cooperation, negatively impacting 2010 Census efforts,” read a letter from Census Director Robert M. Groves to the president of ACORN.

“Unfortunately, we no longer have confidence that our national partnership agreement is being effectively managed through your many local offices. For the reasons stated, we therefore have decided to terminate the partnership,” the letter said.

The ACORN nut has been cracked. As Michelle Malkin states, it’s time to stop funding this corrupt organization with tax payer dollars.

On the Eve of the Washington Tea Party, Bomb Threat Evacuates DC TEA Party Planners … “I put a bomb in your building, b#itch”

Desperate acts, by a desperate moonbat movement.

How afraid is the LEFT of “We the People” and the Washington Tea Party set for September 12, 2009? A nut called in a bomb threat causing the evacuation of the offices of FreedomWorks. The threat was as follows to the organizers female receptionist,  “I put a bomb in your building, bitch.”  It will take a lot more than terroristic threats to stop Tea Party Go’ers.

On the eve of what organizers call a ‘Big Ol’ TEA Party’, the Washington, D.C., offices of FreedomWorks were evacuated by DC Metro police on Friday afternoon after the conservative organization reported to authorities at 3:42 pm ET that it had received a bomb threat. 

At 4:48 pm ET, the organization put out a Twitter message saying that it turned out to be a false alarm but the organization is not happy about the disruption.

However, no one can stop the march on Washington by Tea Party go’ers as 10’s of thousands are expected to use their US Constitutional First Amendment rights of free speech on Saturday. This is Democracy in action. The White House and partisan hack Democrat politicians can attempt to otherize the Tea Parties all they want and create fictitious expectations of one or two million attendees … the fact of the matter is that this is the people letting their voice be heard against socialism, against Obamacare, against out of control spending, against truther czars against all the lies that Obama campaigned as and did a bait and switch once in office. What a desperate attempt, by a desperate President.

America is not going to take their future being ruined by an out of control President and Congress hell bent on socializing America.
 

Democrat Incumbent US Senator Chris Dodd Still in Trouble in Reelection Bid in Connecticut against Republican Challengers

Another long time Incumbent CT US Senator Chris Dodd fins himself in a real reelection battle in the the Nutmeg State. A recent Rasmussen poll has in under 50% against all Republican challengers; however, against former Congressman Rob Simmons, Dodd fins himself behind 49% to 39%

Longtime Connecticut Senator Chris Dodd, tarnished by last year’s financial blow-up, continues to struggle as he prepares for a reelection bid in 2010.

The latest Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone poll finds that Republican challenger Rob Simmons leads Dodd 49% to 39% in an early look at next year’s potential match-up. Five percent (5%) say they’d prefer some other candidate, and six percent (6%) are not sure.

There is no doubt that Dodd is in some real trouble, Diver Down says The Next Right. Once again another Dem incumbent finds them self in some serious reelection trouble with no Obama coattails to be found.

The Daily Kos can shamefully refer to the Rasmussen poll all they want as GOP-leaning, the fact of the matter Scott Rasmussen is the best in the business as gets it right. When all other polls are skew sampling, the Rasmussen report has nailed many of the elections when all other bias polls did not even come close.

ACORN NUT CRACKED AGAIN, PART 2

 Acorn busted again for helping pimps and prostitutes, this time the Washington, DC office. A second video has surfaced my independent film maker James O’Keefe posing as the pimp. The hits keep on coming and so do the Acorn firings.

“But that does not excuse the behavior of the employees,” wrote ACORN’s president Alton Bennet and executive director Mike Shea. “We have fired them and are initiating an internal review of practices and reminding all staff of their obligation to uphold the highest legal and ethical standards.”

However,  ACORN did not take full responsibility as they claimed that this was part of a smear campaign. Good grief. Your employees are caught dead to rights on video in their own words, deeds and actions and this is a smear campaign? Sound a bit like a Van Jones apology.

The group’s leaders said Friday they were “appalled and angry” at what their staffers had done, but insisted the videos were part of a political “smear” campaign and not representative of the institution as a whole.

The LEFT and ACORN can complain all they want of being set up or being a apart of a “smear campaign,” the fact of the matter is the ACORN employees seemed very comfortable in their skin providing advice to defraud the IRS.

 This ACORN criminal activity caught on video is like the cockroach principle. How many times did they and have they give this same type of advice to individuals who were not making a video to expose them and provide a valuable service to America.

Colorado US Senate and Governor Elections … Incumbent Democrats Gov McInnis Find themself in Trouble

More Incumbent Democrats in reelection trouble … Enter the state of Colorado:

Democrat Senator Michael Bennet is in a tough battle with his two potential Republican challengers. According to the most recent Rasmussen poll, Bennett finds himself in a toss up and with poll numbers that are well below the 50% threshold that would consider him to he highly vulnerable.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey finds Bennet ahead of Buck 43% to 37%. With Frazier as the opponent, Bennet is essentially even. The numbers are 40% for Frazier and 39% for the incumbent.

Colorado Incumbent Democrat Scott McInnis finds himself in a battle with his rival Republicans in the most recent Rasmussen poll. McInnis won in a landslide in the 2006 election in the recent Democratic trending state of Colorado. However, he is in a dead heat for his 2010 reelection bid and finds himself well under the 50% threshold that all incumbents look for. It is yet another example of the plight of incumbent Democrats and the lack of Obama coat tails.

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in Colorado finds Ritter trailing Republican challenger Scott McInnis by five points – 44% to 39% – in an early look at next year’s race for governor.

Ritter’s in a virtual tie with another GOP challenger, state Senate Minority Leader Josh Penry. Ritter picks up 41% of the vote to Penry’s 40%.

Republicans have managed to find quality candidates to battle for both the governor’s and US Senate seats.

Make No Mistake About it … Poll Numbers Show American Majority Against Obamacare 53% – 44%

Try as the MSM might to continue to provide cover, carry the water and even lie when it comes to how Americans feel about Barack Obama’s policies and Obamacare … a majority of Americans are against the health care plan backed by “The One”. Unlike some polling that skew the sampling, Scot Rasmussen remains one of the best and trusted pollers in the business.

In a recent Rasmussen Poll, 53% of American voters opposed Obamacare while only 44% were in favor. All summer long in town hall meetings across America, “We the People” have voiced their disapproval of Obamacare and government run healthcare. The President has no one to blame but himself if either no one understand the 1500 pages of nonsense or others have been allowed to interpret what is in this boondoggle of a bill. After all, it was President Obama who wanted Congress to vote and pass this bill back before August break before anyone, including him, had read it.

Views of the health care plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats remain largely unchanged since late July. A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey conducted Tuesday and Wednesday nights finds that 44% favor the plan while 53% are opposed. These numbers are little different than those in late August.

Eight years ago this morning, September 11, 2001 it was cool beautiful Fall morning when it happened. Then it happened again.  Please take time in your day to remember and reflect back on that day and the following days after September 11. Take time to remember and say a prayer.

Do you remember where you were and what you were doing?

We can no longer put our heads in the sand and pretend like 9–11 never happened. Many of us lost colleagues, former class mates, fellow church members and people among our communities that day.

It has been seven years since the fateful morning of September 11, 2001 when a plane hijacked by muslim terrorists crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City. Then another plane hijacked once again by Islamofascists flew into the second Trade Center Tower. Then the Pentagon was attacked. Then a fourth hijacked plane went down in a field in Pennsylvania.
