NY Gov David Paterson Questions Barack Obama’s Coattails and Weak Record for his Political Woes

Governor David Paterson blames Obama’s weak record for his political woes.

It looks like embattled NY Democrat governor David Paterson has broke the ultimate Democrat sin. He has dared question President Obama, his coattails and his record. Paterson says he will run for re-election despite the White House asking him not to an his most awkward meeting with Barack Obama. Some one dare say that Obama has a failed record, they must be a racist like Paterson, eh, um.

If you look at it from their perspective, they haven’t exactly been able to govern in the first year of their administration in the way that other administrations have, where you would have, theoretically, a period in which the new administration is allowed to pass the needed pieces of legislation.

One of the things that has made the White House angriest at Paterson is his linking his woes to the president’s. The last time was about race, of course, which made it worse.

Trouble in paradise, President Barack Obama came to New York on Monday and paid more attention to Attorney General Andrew Cuomo than to Paterson. It would appear that if Obama faces opposition in a Democratic Presidential primary in 2012 due to his continual falling poll numbers, he will not have too much room to complain.

From David Paterson via Hot Air:

Every state accepted stimulus money – some said they weren’t, but all accepted stimulus money – it was shocking that the vote on the stimulus money for the ARRA went along party lines. Here, with the healthcare legislation, they’re talking about negotiating to get one Republican senator to vote with them – they can’t get one Republican?

It’s not them, it just seems to be the point of view that: what we’re gonna do, in the middle of a recession – and it’s a good thing that neither of the political parties were thinking of doing this in the Great Depression – but in the middle of the recession is: ‘we’re going to leave off, sit around, and blame the other side.’ See, it’s all “their fault.”

I suppose you loonies think this is normal behavior:

Michelle Bachmann, the US Republican Representative for Minnesota, tells a radio interviewer she believes Barack Obama, the US president, plans to set up mandatory “re-education camps” to indoctrinate young Americans.

Glenn Beck, a television personality working at the Fox news network, says on the air that Obama is a “racist” with a “deep-seated hatred for white people”.

Comparing Obama to Adolf Hitler, an Iowa man named Tom Eisenhower speaks up at a town hall meeting held by Republican Senator Charles Grassley, and says “The president of the United States, that’s who you should be concerned about.”

“I’d take a gun to Washington if enough of you would go with me.”

Retired FBI agent Ted Gunderson, a prolific writer and speaker about conspiracy theories involving devilish sex cults and the Illuminati, tells a gathering of right-wing “Patriots” in Florida that the federal government has set up 10,000 internment camps across the country and is storing thousands of guillotines for mass executions.

Mel Sanger, a self-described “political researcher”, offers visitors to his website a $24.97-report full of “cutting edge evidence” that Obama is the biblical Antichrist.

Tens of thousands of right-wing demonstrators march on the US Capitol waving signs reading “Bury Obamacare with Kennedy” and calling Obama a “bloodsucking Muslim alien”.

Steven Anderson, the pastor of the Faithful Word Baptist Church in Arizona, preached a sermon last month entitled “Why I hate Barack Obama”, in which he declared, “I’m going to pray he dies and goes to hell”.

OTTI: only democrats are racists. i guess you love the reverend white’s sermon about hating white people and America. you are the poster child for democratic liberal lunatics.
racism is just a word reserved by the democrats when they get caught in their criminal activities, by the way seem to be a daily routine.
i bet you were one of the klan at the democratic national convention. racist.

What is your point? Are you trying to prove that crazy people exist? I would agree with you and they are not exclusive to the conservative movement. Have you forgotten all the Bush protesters who held up signs saying “I’m here to kill Bush”? Check this out for a reminder– http://forgottenliberty.com/2009/09/tea-party-protesters-are-violent-racists/

Back to the post… Why did Obama insert himself into state politics in the first place? Power hungry? It has created a mess for NY democrats.

The Emperor has declared Paterson’s 2nd term a “no go”.

Wonder if anyone will call Obama a racist.

Yes, I think they should both step down. For the good of the Country, and Democratic party. :-)

Superdave – I am an outsider looking in. I don’t come from your country. I was born and live in the freest country in the world. I am white, late 50s and my politics are conservative. I don’t particularly like Obama’s politics but he is your president. One of the things that has always made your country great is that you band together. Why do you not do that in this case? Your are a democracy and you can get rid of him in a few years if the majority wants that. And for what it’s worth I don’t think I am a racist but I do recognise that there are many differences between people due to religion, race, education, sex and politics.

otti: it is hard to fight corruption in the voting process. look at Iraq & Iran. voter fraud is what got us this loser. the organization that helped put obama in office is now under fire for corruption. every one and everything he has done has ties to corruption.
and what kind of person would spend a million dollars to have his identity hidden? a criminal !
compare this country from tweo years ago. nothing but total chaos. obama has divided this country and he wants it that way. he easily controls the half under him. they are weak and have to be led.
