RSSNow Embattled NY Governor David Paterson Uses Race Card … Accuses Media of being Racists
These Folks Playing the race card is getting really old.
Even when Barack Obama does not want to get drawn into a race issue, he does. Like Obama does not have enough issue with Obamacare, the economy and his poll numbers. Now NY Gov. Paterson pulls another race card from the bottom of the deck.
What does NY Democratic Governor and Barack Obama have in common? They both “stupidly” used the race card to blame others. In the case of embattled NY Gov. Paterson, he blamed a racist media for trying to push him out of next years election. Paterson need only look in the mirror for his troubles as he has a 30% approval rating that is actually up from a once 18%. Patterson claimed that President Obama would be the next “victim” of the racially biased news media. Sadly, has it become with Democrats that if a black man is behind in the polls or losing an issue … it must be because of racism.

“The whole idea is to get me not to run in the primary,” Paterson complained on a morning radio show hosted by Daily News columnist Errol Louis.
He suggested that Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, the country’s only other African-American governor, also is under fire because of his race.
“We’re not in the post-racial period,” Paterson said.
“The reality is the next victim on the list – and you can see it coming – is President Barack Obama, who did nothing more than trying to reform a health care system.”
Barack Obama, not wanting to have another “Beer Summit” quickly had his people respond to the NY Governors comments. Obama did not want to get dragged into another racism fiasco, hell he does a good enough job of that by himself, The One certainly did not need Paterson doing it for him.
Paterson blamed his political woes on racially slanted coverage and predicted the president would be the next “victim” of biased media.
Obama’s team delivered a pointed message to Paterson within hours of the morning broadcast.
Barack Obama has already learned his lesson about “stupidly” making racial comments where none exist. The response from the Obama White House kind of reminds me of a line from the movie, Animal House … They can’t call us the next victims, only we can call ourselves the next victims.

DAVID; how about accepting the fact that you can’t do the job ? doesn’t matter what color you are, if you are incapable, then step down. i do believe the guy beofre you was white. what makes him any different ?

Incomptency aflicts all races, but because of poor education and cultural problems, the blacks have more than an abundent share of it.
Rather than face facts, they prefer to blame it on anything(preferably race) to point the finger at others rather than themselves.
The American people have spent trillions of dollars to try to correct the situation and tried to level the playing field by “dumbing down” schools and creating special classes of preference in the work place so these incompetents could compete. It is a cultural problem that only blacks themselves can correct by getting off welfare and developing proper value systems for their broken culture.
As a Mass Resident, let me state that fellow residents here in the Baystate are livid at the way the Governor here is handling the local economy…..many, many broken promises—many, many hikes in taxes (which he promised not to do)- lost jobs and MISMANAGED programs in the State already burdened with astronomical costs, fees, taxes, etc. He has been very disappointing to say the least and won’t get reelected again. It has nothing to do with his race—shows his incompetence. The remote suggestion of pulling the race card again is too transparent and will not fly in this State. It’s BS, plain and simple.
David, open your eyes dude. you won’t run into the wall as often.
blaming whitey has been the easy way out for the last 100 years. it’s an old excuse now and doesn’t fly today.
this is the only thing they can come up with to blame for their incompetence. it doesn’t count that a majority of the people that put them in office were of different races.
Incompetence is incompetence, whether the person is black, white, purple or whatever. Taxes keep increasing, unemployment is at record levels in NY. I never paid attention to the governor’s running mate before….I sure enough will now. I would not vote for this man in an open election and it has nothing to do with his race and all to do with his politics and incompetence.
