Another Democrat in Political Trouble … House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers (D-Mich.) in for a Tough Go

If it’s an incumbent Democrat … it must be a politician in reelection trouble.

Another Democrat in a leadership role appears to be in some trouble in his reelection bid for the House of Representatives. House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers (D-Mich) appears that he might be facing a tough reelection race in 2010.

40 percent of Conyers’s constituents said he deserved reelection, according to a poll conducted earlier this month by the Lansing, Mich.-based Deno Noor Polling, in conjunction with the Rossman Group and Perricone Group.

44 percent of Detroiters represented by Conyers said they would prefer to elect someone else. 15 percent were unsure or didn’t know.

The 80 year old Conyers has served in Congress since 1965. 80!!! Since 1965!!! There is no way the Founding Fathers ever intended the members of Congress to be a lifetime appointment. Also as Don Surber reminds us, it does not help one’s reelection bid when your wife is a crook.

This country needs term limits and they need them now!

A lifetime appointment means there is enough time for someone to become corrupt. Time for him and many others to go.

I think he doesn’t know how to read as well. Says he doesn’t read bills in congress…shouldn’t it be mandatory that all in congress and senate should be able to read and write?

OPM (oh-pee-em) corrupts one’s integrity once
you get started Taking It! Like any other drug of
choice, one starts out feeling able to limit their
greed, but Other People’s Money is easy to score
and tolerance levels increase rapidly. The Obowma
      Administration is already consuming dangerous
amounts of the stuff. They are on a Huge temporary
      High right now.

Rehab consists of removal from the OPM drugged
circle of ‘friends’ (users). Voters can help the addicted
by intervention via the voting booth. You cannot trust
a drug addict, as they will LIE to your face to get
      what they need.

well Dave…what is the meaning of the 9/11 attacks?

    8. SUPER DAVE on August 25th, 2009 12:39 pm

dolf: better than my explaining this to you, there are numerous websites about what the Obama administration has in mind for 9/11.
it is nothing short of sickening liberal tactics for a show of power. they want total power and control of the United States any way they can get it. they have strong armed the auto industry, businesses, and we are next. healthcare reform is their next move for control. that and race baiting when their crooked politicians are not capable of running a snail race much less a political office.

    9. Dolf on August 26th, 2009 8:43 am

      strong armed the auto industry?
saved it from collaps you mean?

and I saw this from the Bush admin as well, but then it were the lefty-loonies with almost the exact same argument complaining.

I do hope you don’t believe the euthansia bs that has been comming from Steele, Palin and other republicans

    10. Scott on August 26th, 2009 9:42 am

dolt – there you again running your mouth like a leaky faucet….what a tool!

Obama did NOT save the auto industry from collapse you twit…he TOOK OVER GM which the last time I looked were way down the list of cars bought off the FAILED cash for clunkers. In case you haven’t been caught up to speed with you CNN watching, auto dealers ALL OVER THE US stopped the cash for clunkers weeks before the deadline on Monday. Why? Because the government has reimbursed EXACTLY 3-5% of money OWED to the dealers.

Another fact for you moron: auto companies like FORD, Toyota, Honda, Nissan were not on the verge of collapse. FORD, who did not take a single dime of bailout money, was never in jeopardy. The foreign makers with their plants in the south were never in danger of collapse.

I love it though, the more you keep posting, the more idiotic you sound. BUY A CLUE!

As for the euthanasia or more accurately put by Palin, Steele and other republicans, DEATH PANELS ARE IN FACT IN THE HOUSE BILLS THAT WERE PASSED. Do you f****in research! I’m sick and tired of your lame a$$ coming on here telling us what not to believe and what to believe when you don’t have a dog in the fight. You don’t know what and the hell you are talking about. THOSE DETAILS ARE IN THE BILL. Maybe you should take a reading class you blind fool! Get out!

    11. SUPER DAVE on August 26th, 2009 9:58 am

DOLF: there are people that do not have the need for government control. there are provisions in the reform that give government total control of your medical care.
i don’t need any of obama’s ideas. maybe Sarah Palin read the reform bill to the page. did obama?
most of his cabinet see no need to read it. it’s called blind trust. something i don’t have in anyone, especially a politician.

    12. dennisintn on August 26th, 2009 1:18 pm

if palin and others weren’t correct calling them “death panels”, why have the dems all ready snatched that portion out of the bill, and why has dr. emanuele yanked his amoral tome from the bill will the “my dog ate my homework” excuse that he really didn’t believe anymore what he believed when he wrote it. darn, i was really looking forward to my little meeting when they explain the rewards and methods of refusing hydration. and obama, in town meetings, explains by telling of the 75 yr. old with a broken hip who will be offered pills instead of surgery.
someone called this “passive euthanasia” it’s as accurate a description as you’ll find, and as morally corrupt to even think about much less intend to put into practice with our weakest and most vulnerable citizens. these are the same citizens who have taken care of and paid the bills for their older generation without complaint or regret. and now obama and the liberals in congress expect us to settle for treating them no better than dogs.
this administration gets more disgusting every day.

pelosi’s health care bill amounts to l.3 trillion dollars spread over l0 yrs. there are only ll million people who are unable to buy their own medical insurance.
even if all 303 million americans had to be covered, that would amount to $5,000 dollars each year for every man, woman, and child in the u.s.

wouldn’t it be cheaper and more reasonable to enroll the ll million souls in a private plan or even medicare or medicaid, and the govt. pick up the tab? even if the policies cost $5,000 per year, we’d only be out $55 billion dollars. that’s a mere pittance to the obama crowd.

scott, I am talking about the US auto industrie.

Honda and Nissan are not US…..(didn’t you know, you been all smart and sh*t)

that cash for clunkers is after the gov. bailout of GM and Chrysler.

and the gov. did bail them out (GM and Chrysler) otherwise they would have gone belly-up

    15. Dolf on August 27th, 2009 7:02 am

and if any of you believe that your goverment is putting up deathpanels….you are even futher gone then I expected (but not with scott….he should be able to see the bottom by now)
