From the Emperor & Chief: Change you can believe in … Obama Democracy hardly sounds like democracy.
America, SHUT UP and do what I say …
Did Barack Obama really believe his press clippings that he was “The One”, the “Obamamessiah”? Does this liberal socialist really believe that the “change” that Americans voted for was his policies, rather than just a change from GWB and the social experiment that was voting in the first black President.
The question was asked, Barack Obama may be “The One”, but is he ready to lead? What is your answer now America?
Barack Obama … the American Caesar. Does Obama need a civics lesson in American democracy? At a fundraiser last week for Democratic gubernatorial candidate R. Creigh Deeds, Obama made the following outrageous comment.
“I don’t want the folks who created the mess do a lot of talking. I want them to get out of the way so we can clean up the mess. I don’t mind cleaning up after them, but don’t do a lot of talking.”
This hardly sounds like candidate Obama who said he would reach across the aisle and be a uniter not a divider. Had he ever made such a comment as a candidate he would never have been nominated.
Instapundit asks the question, what would the reaction be if a Republican President made such a comment?
If this were true, then he would have to have all incumbent politicians in the House and Senate to stop talking, including himself. What was responsible for the sub prime mortgage mess? Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and who had oversight of those entities? Does Obama really think that he does not have to listen to individuals?
It can certainly explain his administrations actions when it comes to Obamacare. Why else would one set up an enemies list and snitch line for so-called mis-information? Mis-infortaion, heck it was the AP who came out and said that Obama lied to Americans during his health care presser. Have they been reported too?
Cleaning up the mess? Unemployment still hovering just below 10%, jobs still being lost and a $787 billion stimulus package and proposed $1 trillion health care plan that will drive up the federal debt for generations to come. This is how Obama is cleaning up the mess?
The Corner reminds us of the meeting that Obama had with governors where he took the attitude that they will fall in line behind “The One” and have no say in matters.
At the time, one person in the room relayed Obama’s request that critics and skeptics of the stimulus plan keep their concerns to themselves. Just let me do it, was his attitude. He got pushback and he wasn’t happy. He wanted democratically elected state governors to shut up so he could do as he pleased.
Is it really any wonder why Obamacare is so unpopular and “We the People” are voicing out opinion in a vocal way?
