Hmm … President Obama Gets Booed at MLB All Star Game in St Louis … And Throws Lame Pitch

“The One” booed in St Louis.

With no Teleprompter to bail Obama out, The One’s pitch is lame and misses the mark. Much like his policies have fallen short of American’s expectations.

I must admit I was a bit surprised to hear Barack Obama booed tonight at the MLB All Star game in St. Louis. The only individual booed louder was Ted Lilly from the hated rival Chicago Cubs. Booed and as The Gateway Pundit says, “And, he threw a sissy pitch”. We should have known after watching this throw from a White House picnic.

What was up with FOX Sports not showing the full pitch? Were they told by Barry’s handlers not to just in case he bounced the ball to home plate because it would have been spread like wildfire on the internet?

One thing is for certain, the Obama bloom is off the rose and people are starting to voice their displeasure with Obama’s policies and the economy.

Just a reminder to Obama … watch the video below and see how a real pitch is thrown by a President.

I am in 100% agreement with Allah Pundit at Hot Air, please, for the love of God stop with the photo ops and let us Americans enjoy a sporting event without showing your mug. Mom jeans, LOL!!!
I’m so bored of watching him that I almost clicked over to the Food Network in disgust. But then I figured he’d probably be on there too, making casseroles with Rachael Ray or whatever, so I stayed put.
UPDATE I: KUDOS to Yahoo Sports to ask the following: Where did it land? Was it a strike or wasn’t it? Why didn’t the network choose a better camera to shoot from?

Obama_MLB

Mr President, you better stick to basketball

What a crock by FOX Sports and MLB in showing America Obama’s first pitch of last nights 80th Al-Satr Game. Watch the VIDEO. BTW Fox sports commentators, he didn’t get it to the plate. Obama’s lollipop throw did not reach home plate as Albert Pujols was standing on home plate and had to reach forward to catch Obama’s pitch.
Where did it land? Was it a strike or wasn’t it? Why didn’t the network choose a better camera to shoot from? Those were the questions that viewers of baseball’s All-Star Game were asking themselves at home after Fox elected to show President Barack Obama’s ceremonial first pitch at the 80th All-Star Game from a tight angle.

Ruling as a part-time umpire who had a good view from the pressbox at Busch Stadium, Obama’s pitch was a no-doubt-about-it ball, even factoring in an expanded strike zone for the Commander-in-Chief. Obama’s southpaw delivery was a little short of the plate
After all the stories of Obama throwing the first pitch and all the groveling and segments that ESPN and other outlets did on having MLB players give advice to Obama on how to throw the first pitch … Fox Sports never even captured the picture live. Why not? How difficult could it be to get Obama and Puljos in the same frame and show the pitch? We had to wait for instant replay to see the pitch, unreal.

I watch baseball to get away from politics. From the pre-game Obama-player meetings, to the first pitch, to the way-too-long speech, to the booth commentary, it was way too much Obama. I stopped watching the game for a few innings until Buck and McCarver got the Presidential giddies out of their system.

    3. stlguy on July 14th, 2009 10:50 pm

I’ve never know an American boy that couldn’t throw a baseball. Oh, that’s right. He’s not from America. Let’s see that birth certificate once and for all.

    4. rightknight on July 14th, 2009 11:41 pm

Since the entire pitch was obscured
(as with all the Obowma actions) we will
assume it was a full long-form birth
certificate short of the plate! The lengths
that the so called ‘press’ and ‘media’ go
to prop up this dude is unrealistic. They
must be counting on being propped up
by Obowma (our money) in return.

Please scratch my back a bit, thanks!

    5. Jen on July 14th, 2009 11:49 pm

Oh my….that was completely lame that they didn’t show it all! And I agree… I usually love baseball but couldn’t stomach it tonight. He needs to go do his job instead of inserting himself in every single aspect of American life. It’s getting old. But it was nice to rewatch Bush throwing that pitch! Way to go – that was nice!

    6. Dark Munkin on July 15th, 2009 12:03 am

You clearly don’t know the subtleties of baseball. He comes out in an AL jersey in a NL ballpark. The fans in St.Louis are savvy enough to see the obvious “slight” and boo the guy.

    7. GeneinTX on July 15th, 2009 12:57 am

#7 pretty much sums up the mentality of the people that post on this site……You want to hear boos?Check this clip out from GWB throwing out the first pitch at Nationals park

    8. Cesar on July 15th, 2009 1:39 am

What boos? I don’t hear any booing.

    9. Steroid Lovah on July 15th, 2009 2:49 am

Oh give me a break. Baseball is no longer America’s past time game. Its a game by drug dealers and for loosers. Can’t play basketball or football? Why not throw a sissy ball and get a souped up drug addict to whack it out of the park with a high tech bat? Wowee…what a game.

Mr Obama Hater- your bigotry is offensive- Disagree with his policies or how he throws a ball but don’t attack with racism. Those of us who are not fans of the President’s policies do not join in your hate and bigotry-

    12. Scared Monkeys on July 15th, 2009 6:31 am

      #8, there were boos.

#11, you are correct and comment has been deleted.

#7. Hey dude, Obama has not been in office 6 months and he is getting booed. When GWB came into office it was on the foot heals of the contested election with Gore where 1/2 of Americans were against him.

Obama is supposed to be the end all cure to all problems and loved by all.

The point of this, Mr Kool-Aid drinking Obama apologist, is to show that even though Americans were willing to give this man a chance, they are beginning to turn and realize he is nothing more than a smile, a speech and a promise is socialist clothing.

So many people watch sports as a diversion away from their real lives and to get away from the politics.

Thanks to FOX Sports and ESPN they ruined this years Al-Star game and made it the Obama Love-fest.

The media, sports included, act like the USA has never had a President of the United States before. That everything Obama does is special and news. Frankly, its pathetic.

Until some one actually does something, they are worthy of nothing. That goes for people in sports, real life and politics.

i could have sworn that was a girl throwing that slow ball. boooo barry, go back to kenya.

    15. Scott on July 15th, 2009 7:31 am

They also ruined the NCAA Tournament too with his “picks.”

Hey douchbag liberals; check out GWB pitch at Yankee Stadium after 9/11! Check out his throw too. Throws a baseball like a REAL MAN! Obama is a wuss. He sucks at basketball; know that for a fact. I guarantee when he was a child he was made fun of by real brothers and was probably the last kid chosen for games like kickball and basketball, etc…

Oh BTW, his policies are killing this country and this economy. He CAN NOT blame Bush anymore and the country knows it; trends and polls prove it. He wasn’t booed because he wore a White Sox jacket. He was booed because his policies are SHIT!

    16. buster on July 15th, 2009 8:06 am

he throws like a girl with a gimpy arm !!! I bet YOU all dollars to donuts that obongo sits down when he pee’s

    17. Dolf on July 15th, 2009 8:51 am

Baseball is the worst of the “US Sports”
      closely followed by Football.

      Basketball however

    18. dotratc on July 15th, 2009 9:20 am

I’m with #8. I didn’t hear any boos (although,if I had, I would have attributed them to the fact that he wore White Sox gear). I heard huge cheers.

Anyone remember when Ronald Reagan visited the press box during an all-star game? He was reading off his script when Bo Jackson hit one of the most dramatic home runs in all-star history. The disconnect between the action on the field and the talk coming out of the press box was embarrassing.

    19. Bill Riordan on July 15th, 2009 9:46 am

Hearing him get booed was the high point of my evening. Maybe people are finally figuring out what a huge mistake they made putting this guy in office.

    20. rightknight on July 15th, 2009 10:44 am

If the guy could only govern our
Country as well as he delivered
      that awesome pitch.

    21. Just Bearly on July 15th, 2009 11:02 am

    22. Just Bearly on July 15th, 2009 11:09 am

Lighten up Dems … all athletic presidents or vp’s are seemingly prone to cynics and ridicule when they slip up doing something sporting.

    23. Ken Bowen on July 15th, 2009 11:16 am

President Obama’s chosen sport is basketball. So for all you Obama haters just keep hating. He IS the President of the United States and like him or not (I happen to love the man) he is still the President for the next 8yrs and he WILL push his policies through like it or not. You’re all nothning but a bunch of crying, whinning, sucking on your thumb republican sorry-ass losers. You can call him every nasty name you can think of but one thing is for sure, your lives are miserable because this man of color is in the White House. Where I come from losers shut up and go home. Sorry-Asses

    24. Scott on July 15th, 2009 11:31 am

Of course the moron liberals couldn’t hear the boos because their heads are so far shoved up Obama’s a$$….

#18…Puh-leaze! Presidents should not be in the press boxes, especially one like Obama who knows nothing about baseball. AND nobody cares about the All-Star game either. It’s an exhibition at best.

Dolf – you are a bonafide queer. Soccer (what you call futbol is the worst US sport).

You wouldn’t understand REAL FOOTBALL because you wear pink socks! The NFL is ONLY the best run sports organization and IS the most watched and attended sport out of ANY of the US sports. A Eurocrap like yourself wouldn’t understand the passion Americans have behind REAL FOOTBALL.

LOL..when’s the last time the Netherlands even made the Olympics for basketball? Medaled?

I’d dunk on you like Jordan dunked on Patrick Ewing back in the late 80s!

Liberals don’t like REAL football because they might get hurt or it violates some environmental or physicality laws….

Obama throws like a GIRL. No that is insulting some girls who could throw it better. He throws like my man above said.. A GIMP!

    25. ladyluck on July 15th, 2009 11:36 am

There was no booing! I watched the whole game so I saw all the Obama parts (in the locker rooms, on the field, meeting past players, in the press box, etc.) and he was cheered everytime he did anything. So his throw wasn’t great, I don’t care! He does not need to throw a baseball to be president. Perhaps he is too busy working to practice his throw.

And am I sad to see people still commenting about bis birth certificate. It is all over the web! Use Google Image and you will fine many copies.

    26. SUPER DAVE on July 15th, 2009 1:38 pm

of course none of the obama lackeys heard any boos. they would not admit that their token president was not so popular at the moment.
      everybody else does though !

    27. Dolf on July 15th, 2009 4:12 pm

no scott, it should be called football, it was there before the US variant.

True, Holland sucks at basketball (always had, always will), but why should that stop me from liking the game, I played it myself for about 10 years (and then I f-up my ancle). NBA is the no.1 Basketball league.

and again scott, stop shouting at your monitor, it isn’t working.

and btw. those pussie soccer players are better athlets then the US football players (or do those bigassed linebackers also run a marathon every game)

and for soccer, the US has got a friendly against Holland before the 2010 WC…..maybe they get a draw this time…cause the US team has lost every single match against the Dutch team

#27 says: “and btw. those pussie soccer players are better athlets then the US football players”

You’re joking, right? A soccer player is a better athlete than a linebacker in college/NFL?

    32. Michelle Smith on July 15th, 2009 10:15 pm

#27 You can’t be serious? Try telling that to any NFL linebacker and see where that gets you….LOL

I take the NFL linebackers over your soccer wussies any day.

      You don’t have a clue.

    33. buster on July 15th, 2009 10:47 pm

at least I know how both games are played.

    35. Scott on July 16th, 2009 6:34 am

      LOL… try telling a 6’3″ 275 linebacker that can run a 4.3 40 is a better athlete than a soccer player.

    36. katablog on July 16th, 2009 8:22 am

I couldn’t care less how the President throws a baseball but Red is correct in pointing out the media love fest with this president. Face it, this guy could fart and the press would be all over how his fart is special.

    37. katablog on July 16th, 2009 8:23 am

BTW, what you all should care about is not how he throws a dirt ball but what he is doing to the United States of America.

    38. Dolf on July 16th, 2009 8:26 am

      its very simple.

US Football: offensive and defensive line-ups, time-outs and unlimited swaps.

      Soccer: 3 swaps a game, 1/2 time.

soccer players are more allround athlets, its just how the game works

as I said, that linebacker is big (and fast), but can he keep that up for 45 min. in a row?

    39. tuyvnsurvivor on July 16th, 2009 9:28 am

It is not elected officials fault they are ‘wimps at office’, it is the voters fault.

First, I am a conservative…getting there oddly. And second, I have had numerous partner and business associates who were and are upper level politicians — each a dork, drip…either a ‘can’t', incredibly self centered looking for power they could not possibly obtain as a natural leader, or they just have a grudge and are against — anything at all.

As a public we vote for the wimps amoung us…McCain included. We seem to demonise the ones naturally the climber. If born deslexic, good with both after school work and — girls by 6 years of age, licks from the counsilor common in junior high, greesing pigs and flag poles for high school while making plenty of ‘F’s', to the military by 17 and shot a few times, and starting a first successful business by 27 — working boxer’s, ex-con’s and those challenged to hold a life in line. And a significant crime laiden union buster by 29. — The public will be scared off this sort. Reguardless of how they grew from the experiences. The public votes for the fence straddler mumble mouth, the one who had nothing novel…until grown and noticed talking kool story puts an extra joker in the box.

    40. Scott on July 16th, 2009 9:32 am

hey dolf – endurance and stamina are the only aspects of being a better all around athlete. So What? BF’in Deal if someone can run around for 45 min; besides most soccer players do not run the whole field for the entire 45 min.

Yes, there are NFL athletes that can run all day long AND they will out jump, out bench press, beat a soccer player in ANY other measure of athletic prowess. As much as I hate Terrell Owens, there isn’t a soccer player in the shape that man is in…there just isn’t.

Oh wippdie do, just 3 swaps. The real football, they hit they crap out of each other without little sissy yellow and red cards. A football player could make it through a soccer game; but a soccer player wouldn’t last 5 plays on a football field.

You are a bigger buffoon that I originally thought.

As a matter of fact, basketball players are much better athletes than soccer players too!

Soccer is a big stink bomb in the US. Nobody cares and nobody would care if they won the WC either. Big deal. My kids will NEVER play soccer…NEVER…I want them to play a real sport.

    41. SUPER DAVE on July 16th, 2009 10:05 am

      a real sport?

      try aussie football or rugby

      no pussie protection gear

ofcourse a US Football player would surive a soccer match, he can’t play the game so he just stands there.

a soccer player on a US Football match will not have difficulty playing. It doesn’t take an Einstein to run into to somebody

      but…for you it might

Having played both football & rugby on the college level, rugby was more of a challenge physically. However, do not use the no pads as a reason why rugby is better. Because of the no pads, no one in their right mind is going to tackle like they do in US football to make a highlight on ESPN.

I admit I am not a big soccer fan just because I do not think there is enough action. Sports are cultural. What use are use to and see is what you like.
