Obamanomics: First Stimulus Plan Didn’t Work, How ‘Bout a Second? House Republicans Release Jobs Ad Video

As Democrats and Obama mull over the possibility of a second useless and wasteful “Stimulus” plan, House Republicans release a video that asks what did the first stimulus bill do for jobs? Could we be headed for “Porkulus II”?

President Barack Obama continues to insist that the stimulus has “done its job.” Really? One might want to ask Obama what was the the job that it was intended to do?

 From the Gateway Pundit:

Republicans ask: “Has the Obama-Pelosi-Reid Stimulus Bill done its job?”
Answer: “Well yes, if your goal was to destroy the US economy.”

It is hard to imagine that the Democrats in Congress are actually contemplating a Second Stimulus plan. One, the first pork plan did nothing, second, only a small portion of the money has been allocated and third all we have accomplished is raise the national debt.

Is it any wonder why 60% of voters oppose a second economic stimulus package. 27% of those polled were in favor and 13% were too busy following the Michael Jackson memorial to care enough to understand. One would expect Republicans to be against a second wasteful spending bill; however, what is eye opening is the 66% of Independents and 45% of Democrats against “Porkulus II”.

Eighty-one percent (81%) of Republicans and two-thirds of voters not affiliated with either major political party (66%) are against passage of a second stimulus plan. Democrats are much more evenly divided, but a plurality of those in Barack Obama’s party (45%) like the idea.

When will these people ever learn that just throwing money at problems only makes matters worse.

Ok, who in their person life gets out of financial debt by spending even more $’s?

Listen, this is the PERFECT time for Republicans to gain some traction heading towards the 2010 elections. BUT; they need to come out and be contrite to the American people (conservatives and independents) and tell them they are sorry and they took their eye off the ball and that given another chance (considering the destruction going on now) they will get this country back to the principles of which this country was born.

The American people are very forgiving people. They will give people another chance.

      The time is NOW!

Besides…Obama has a thing for 17 years olds!

I agree Scott, but let’s add that their votes on all future legislation will have to show 1) They actually read the legislation before they cast any vote and 2)Their vote does reflect that of the majority of their constituents.

I firmly believe that every legislator should NOT just vote party principles but should also reflect any outpouring from their constituents. You see they represent We the People not We the Party.

Next – different subject – it blows me away when important national questions are asked and we get a double digit percentage that are “undecided”. I hope the “undecided” are really “I’m too busy to take telephone polls during dinner” or “I don’t answer polls because……..” It’s scary to believe that there are really that many adults with no opinion.

Like you are doing with Obama?

Scott, explain those principles to me.

How is it that we all get to sit back and watch Obama-Pelosi-Reid trio take our country apart? I thought our country was full of checks and balances to stop such insanity. I can go to all the tea parties, and I can voice my opinion to my representatives, but it really doesn’t matter what I think. It is only a matter of time until I lose my job. I can see it coming, but I’m helpless to stop it. Our country is being destroyed from the inside out, and we all get to sit and watch it.

I am thankful for Fox News and Scared Monkeys. I wouldn’t be aware of the Obama-Pelosi-Reid trio if it wasn’t for them. I am looking forward to the next elections, and I will be involved. I hope all of you will be too.

What’s lovingly called “Tax and Spend” is
actually “Spend and then Tax”. The position
this fault-filled thinking puts the People
in is ‘Owing Their Soul to the Government Store’.
      Obowma’s fabulous ‘Plans’ are accomplishing
this at breakneck speed. Common Sense and
Reason must be suspended in order to allow
      this process to continue.

Please pass the blindfold and earplugs, thanks!

PA MOM: who will step up and lead ? our one chance is getting out of politics and i don’t think she will come back.
today reporters admit that they took sides with the sordid obama campaign against Sarah Palin and admit that they are the losers. every democrat and republican that attacked her and her family had better be on their knees begging for forgiveness because payback is going to be rough.
a revolution is the only thing that will save us
and it’s sad that Americans allowed obama to divide our country.

I am having sleepless nights watching this corrupt government take away our country piece by piece. They don’t care about us, they don’t even try to hide it anymore, yet we stay quiet. They won’t allow the Fed to be audited, eventhough citizens pushed it through Congress, they killed the S.604 bill in the Senate. They get the Cap and Trade bill through, which is going to rob the taxpayers out of the little money they have left. Just when we thought it couldn’t get worse, they push S.909 “The Hate Bill” through Senate with some 40 cosponsors. This is a bill that if passes, will end FREE SPEECH as you know it. This will be the step that officially makes us a POLICE STATE. I cannot stress enough that it is now or never, we have to stand up and shout to our Senators that we will not allow them to sell our souls to the Devils that own our country. My son isn’t going to have his freedom, how can I calm my soul knowing this, seeing it happen right in front of me. :(

The stimulus is a failure. They thought the economy would recover quickly. If the economy recovered quickly that would not be good.

Sarah Palin is by far(for the present) the early odds on contender for the Presidential election.

Aside from the “notoriety” she has been pummeled with by the msm, aside from the “scandalous” resignation and the bleating of the political sheep that it was a “quitters” way out(in spite of her reasons), regardless of the crass “jokes” about her, the ones she love and their private life, she has come out stronger than most expected.

The year is 2009, the month is July.

The “polls”(numbers) were extremely high when you analyze them. And the independents’ vote toward the Democratic party has increasingly been dwindling(natch) and the poll regarding Sarah Palin were not far from being equal(independents).

The likely socio-economic conditions of 2010,2011 and 2012 and the continuing disenchantment of the citizens basically paves the way for a serious Republican(conservative, fiscally) party to lead the way with a comprehensive and sane platform.

It will not be handed to them on a platter, they have to prove ability. There is no need for apologies but there is a vital, desperate and crying need for common sense, addressing issues in a language that the common people can understand and, of course, JOBS.

This the Republican party can supply, and Sarah Palin is making the first move in positioning herself for that(or so it would appear). She needs to learn and mature politically(you do NOT have to be in office for that). She could not do that as Governor.

Also, do not be surprised to see younger, fresher republican candidates surprisingly taking over, as the older politicians of both parties no longer are favored by the voting public.

      Dolf –

Like you are doing with Obama?

I know he’s apologized in every other nation, but I missed any apology to the US taxpayer.

To be forgiven, you really need to admit your wrongs. Well there’s HOPE there will be a CHANGE since at least now you seem to admit der leader needs forgiveness.

    13. Ken Jackson on July 11th, 2009 7:58 pm

After the Republicans have screwed up the country since Reagan, it’s only fair to give the Dems a chance. We’ve had the trifecta of Reagan, Bush, and Bush. There need to be at least three Dems who can screw up the country in the opposite direction. Then we may be back to the same screwed up state we were in before.

      Gotta love this country.

The real problem with the US though is that the states really aren’t that united. Here’s how the US should look:

      1) Texas its own country.
      2) Alaska its own country.
      3) New England its own country.
      4) Cali, Oregon, and Washington its own country.
      5) The south is its own country.
      6) The midwest is its own country.

If you do this then I’ll move to the Cali/Ore/Washington country, and be much happier. And others can move to the region that they’d like to live in. I think everyone would be much happier with such a plan.

The stimulus was Obama’s way of paying back his cronies that got him the votes. And he is using OUR MONEY to do it!
