Daily Commentary – Friday, June 14th, 2009 – New Drunk Driving Program in Arizona Targets Late Night Fast Food

• A new program in Puma County, Arizona would put undercover cops in late night drive-through windows to help spot drunk drivers.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department’s new anti-drunken driving campaign — called Operation Would U Like Fries, or Operation WULF — hopes to put undercover deputies inside 24-hour fast-food restaurants to spot impaired drivers placing their orders, said Sgt. Doug Hanna, DUI unit supervisor.

 

If deputies notice someone with any of the classic symptoms of impairment — slurred speech, red or watery eyes, beer breath — they will radio a uniformed deputy stationed just outside, Hanna said.

This morning on “Meet the Press” VP Joe Biden admitted that the Barack Obama stimulus plan was a failure. Biden stated that “everyone guessed wrong;” however that is not the case. Everyone did not get it wrong, the Obama Administration got it wrong. The fact of the matter is that Obama’s minions have kept stating that the stimulus package would create or save 3.5 million jobs. A prediction that was comical on it’s premise. Now Biden is lowering that expectation to 600,000.

Obama and his clan need to get a clue and that not everyone guessed wrong. In a recent Rasmussen poll, 53% Say More Government Spending Hurts the Economy. Also, Americans now trust Republicans more than Democrats on the issue of the economy, 45%–39%. It would seem that the US is rejecting socialism and Obama now owns the economy and has no one to blame, although try he will.

Another Document Dump in Casey Anthony Case … 1,000 New Pages of Discovery Released in Casey/Caylee Anthony Murder Case

The Orange County State Attorney’s Office released another 1000 new pages of discovery on Friday afternoon in the Casey/Caylee Anthony murder case . The doc dump included documents about Casey Anthony’s employment history and court papers from a civil case brought by a woman, Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez, with the same name as a baby sitter Anthony accused of kidnapping her daughter.

Copies of depositions taken by lawyers for Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez — who sued Anthony for defamation for saying she abducted 2-year-old Caylee — as well as interviews with Anthony’s parents and brother are among the documents made public Friday.

Also released are employment history papers from Universal Studios, where Anthony claims to have worked as an event planner, and a transcript of an interview with a woman who says she has photos of the area where Caylee’s body was found six months after she vanished last June.

However, with all the information released, Caylee Anthony’s autopsy will not be among the documents released from State Attorney’s Office.

As Barack Obama continues the legacy of Al “its not easy being Green” Gore with his “cap and trade” plan to reduce carbon emissions to prevent so-called global warming, yet another funny thing has happened on the way to taxing Americans … Chicago, Illinois has experienced the coldest June in 50 years.

The cloudy, chilly and rainy open to June here has been the talk of the town. So far this June is running more than 12 degrees cooler than last year, and the clouds, rain and chilly lake winds have been persistent. The average temperature at O’Hare International Airport through Friday has been only 59.5 degrees: nearly 7 degrees below normal and the coldest since records there began 50 years ago.

However, what is not a myth is the permanent tax that President Barack Obama and Democrats want to give to all Americans, not just the one’s making over $250K, when they implement a “cap and trade” plan to supposedly reduce carbon emissions. On Thursday of this past week, President Obama tapped four big Democratic Party donors for plum ambassadorships in Europe and Latin America while naming six career diplomats to posts in Africa, the Mideast and the Pacific. Barack Obama is just another typical “pay for play” politician. Obama does not represent anything more than a “typical politician.” He just happens to be a socialist typical politician.

Washington lawyer Howard Gutman, who raised more than $500,000 for Obama’s campaign and personally contributed the maximum $4,600 to it, was nominated to be the next U.S. envoy to Belgium, the White House said in a statement.

Tim Miller & Texas Equusearch Join the Search for Missing Tracy Ocasio in Florida

Tim Miller and the volunteer search team Texas Equusearch has joined the search for the missing Ocoee woman, Tracy Ocasio. According to reports, Tim Miller arrived in Florida at 4:45 p.m. Friday to start on their search efforts.  Tracy Ocasio has been missing since leaving the Taproom Bar in Orlando, FL at approximately 1:30 am Wednesday, May 27, 2009.

Miller and his crew set out Saturday at 8 a.m. By 10 a.m., nearly 60 members of Texas Equusearch were at the search site, coming through the thick brush and wooded areas. They said it’s better to start their day earlier, especially working outside in the Florida heat.

At about 10:30 a.m., Equusearch requested help from the public in the search for Ocasio beginning Sunday.

Joe Ocasio, the missing woman’s father, said he has come to the reality that he may never see his daughter again.

“I somehow fear that this is not going to turn out the way that we hope,” Ocasio’s mother, Liz Ocasio, said. “But we can only do our best to find her.”

Texas Equusearch is asking for volunteers to help in the search that are willing to search the wooded area on foot as well as searchers with ATVs or horses.

People who are willing to participate in the search must report no later than 8 a.m. to Vignetti Park at 1906 Adair Street in Ocoee. They also are required to be 18 or older with photo identification, and must be able to bring their own food, insect spray and sunscreen.

27 year old Tracy E. Ocasio has been missing since May 27, 2009.

Ocasio is 5-foot-6, weighs 124 lbs., has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black tank top, jeans, a green and white hat, and a black hooded jacket.

Tracy E. Ocasio, who lives on New Victor Road Ocoee, left the bar on Raleigh Street about 1:30 a.m. Her vehicle was later found abandoned in Ocoee.

Did anyone really think that an opposition opponent had a chance against President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? Did individuals, pundits, MSM and world leaders actually think that this was going to be a fair election? The results are in, it gave 62.6 percent of the vote to Ahmadinejad and 33.75 to Mousavi. Interestingly enough, the opposition candidate even lost in his own home town.

The Obama Administration is skeptical of Election results. Really? The  Mahmoud Ahmadinejad government capable of fraud? NEVER! Of course this is the same Iranian government that US President Obama says its okay for them to have nuclear capability as long as they use it for energy and good. If Ahmadinejad cannot be trusted with election results, does anyone really want to trust him with a nuke?

U.S. analysts find it “not credible” that challenger Mir Hossein Mousavi would have lost the balloting in his hometown or that a third candidate, Mehdi Karoubi, would have received less than 1 percent of the total vote, a senior U.S. officials told FOX News.

Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khameini apparently has released a statement calling the results “final” and hailing the election as a legitimization of the regime and its elections.

Clashes have erupted over the election results between supporters of the main election challenger to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Mousavi wrote a second letter to the clerics in Qom Saturday. The implication, says Iran analyst Trita Parsi, is that the fight may escalate and the legitimacy of the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei may increasingly come into question.

“I don’t think anyone anticipated this level of fraudulence,” Reuters cited the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace’s Karim Sadjadpour. “This was a selection, not an election. At least authoritarian regimes like Syria and Egypt have no democratic pretences. In retrospect it appears this entire campaign was a show: (Supreme Leader) Ayatollah (Ali) Khamenei wasn’t ever going to let Ahmadinejad lose.”

Clark Rockefeller was sentenced to 4 to 5 years in prison for abducting his daughter after having lost custody during a court supervised visitation in downtown Boston with his daughter, Reigh Boss, on July 27, 2008

It was a jarring finale for the German con man, who came to America as an exchange student, slipped into a life of lies and may be linked to the disappearance of a California couple.

The jury deliberated for four days before convicting him of parental kidnapping and assaulting a social worker who tried to stop the abduction.

Dressed in a dark suit, Gerhartsreiter showed no emotion.

District Attorney Daniel Conley said he hopes the verdict gives Gerhartsreiter’s ex-wife, Sandra Boss, and their daughter “some sense of justice.”

The Obama administration has all but abandoned plans to allow Guantanamo Bay detainees who have been cleared for release to live in the United States. I am sure our allies in the war on terror will appreciate this flip flop on the part of Barack Obama.

So, who are Bermuda’s new residents? And why would the Obama administration place travel restrictions on them?

All four of them are members or associates of the Eastern Turkistan Islamic Movement (otherwise known as the Turkistan Islamic Party). The ETIM/TIP is a U.S. and UN designated terrorist organization affiliated with al Qaeda and has attacked civilians in China, as well as reportedly plotted against other targets elsewhere, including the U.S. embassy in Kyrgyzstan. According to the State Department, ETIM/TIP members have also fought alongside the Taliban and al Qaeda in Afghanistan. And last year the organization threatened to attack the Olympic Games in China.

The four Uighurs attempted to deny any relationship with the ETIM/TIP, the Taliban, and al Qaeda during their CSRTs. But their denials are not credible. In the context of their denials they made important admissions.

But wait, Obama has put travel restrictions on these new Bermuda residents. If these individuals are not dangerous, why would they be given travel restrictions? And does anyone really think a terrorist is going to ask permission of the US before they come to America and bomb us? Seriously, how is one cleared of charges, not considered a threat to the United States and have travel restrictions placed on them? Nice mixed message Barack. In essence, it basically means they are not trusted and are considered a threat.
