CORRUPTION IN ARUBA … REALLY?

Say it isn’t so Joe, what a shocker … corruption in Aruba, who would have thunk it!

The corruption investigation will go on … As reported in Amigoe, an independent investigation will take place on possible corruption and “misgovernment” on Aruba.  Aruban Premier Nelson Oduber (MEP) announced earlier that there would be no investigation on corruption on the island. What else would one expect Oduber to say say seeing that it id his party in power and who will be scrutinized. For those that would claim that Aruba is “One Safe Island,” never mind the fact that such a notion would be lost on the family of missing and presumed dead Natalee Holloway. Can one really expect the truth when even the Netherlands states that there is corruption at the highest levels?

By that, she referred to the quoted abuses with governmental institutes of Aruba, in her letter to the Dutch parliament. “You will of course at least need investigation methods to determine this”, says the State Secretary.

However, Premier Oduber did not want to elaborate yesterday as to what the plan of approach should imply, except that it particularly should enervate ‘tall stories’.
On the question if the plan of approach also implies an investigation on possible corruption, he then responded with a ‘no’: “The plan of approach is not an investigation. The Kingdom has no right whatsoever to investigate internal affairs of Aruba.”

The Netherlands have long been worried and accused Aruba of corruption.

4 Year Old Missing Haylee Donathan Found Safe … Sex Offender Robbie Robbi” Potter and Girlfriend Candace Watson (Haylee Mom) Arrested

Thankfully, missing Haylee Donathan found safe!!!

Haylee Donathan, 4, was found safe at a communal farm in rural San Diego, CA called the Morning Star Ranch. Also found at this location was 27 year old convicted sex offender Robbi Potter and Haylee’s 24 year old mother, Candace Watson. Both have been taken into custody and arrested.

Why are we witnessing recently mothers with young children associating with known convicted sex offenders and playing a deadly game of chicken with their children’s lives?

Missing Haylee Donathan found safe

4 year old Haylee Donathan had been missing since May 31, 2009 when she was picked up by her mother, Candace Watson, and the mother’s boyfriend, Robbie Potter. Both are were wanted by police as days before Haylee Donathan went missing, her mother helped Robbi Potter, a convicted sex offender escape from a half way house in Mansfield, Ohio. Robbi Potter is a Tier III sex offender, the most serious classification.

Robbi Potter was arraigned Wednesday afternoon in federal court in San Diego, CA for allegedly violating terms of his supervised release in northern Ohio. Candace Watson is due in court tomorrow.

Reefer Madness … Christopher J. Gray Arrested for Advertising Pot for Sale on Craigslist … 420

Craigslist in the news again …

A note to drug dealers … the police know what 420 means as well. Heck, who doesn’t? I guess those who sell pot on Craigslist do not.

30 year old Christopher J. Gray was arrested by Quincy, MA police for advertising pot, marijuana, cannabis, reefer on-line on Craigslist. It would seem that once again Craigslist has got another black eye. This time for the advertising of illegal drugs. With Craigslist being in the news so much recently, and not for the good, one wonders why anyone would not think that law enforcement is not keeping a special eyes on the on-line site these days?

Quincy police arrested a man advertising his wares on the online classified site Craigslist with the words “420 help is here.” Drug detectives knew that in the cannabis culture, 420 means getting high on marijuana.

The Craigslist item said “Give me a ring if you need some help,” and listed a phone number, which a detective called Friday.

A Media – Obama Milestone … Pushing Obama’s Buttons and The One Clearly on the Defensive and Irratted by Questions … “Only I’m the president of the United States.”

Barack Obama has his Lyndon Johnson moment …

And so it has finally happened. The head over heal love affair between the media and Barack Obama came to a chilly end yesterday during his presser. That is not to say that they still do not fawn over him; however, the dreamy eyed stares, amidst the dimmed candle light and a glass of merlot seem to be over.

  Major Garrett of Fox News also asked Obama, “What took you so long?” in responding to the Iranian Protesters being slaughtered in the streets

One would have to be blind or wearing too dark a shaded rose colored glasses not to have witnessed yesterday during Obama’s news conference that he was uncomfortable, irritated and defensive on many of the questions that were posed to The One. As Politics Daily stated, “Barack Obama  is one of the most disciplined, controlled and unflappable political leaders in modern times, except when he grows testy”.  That Obama testiness becomes a form of arrogance as this President has only been given softballs from the outset, so when a high hard one is pitched inside, Obama has no idea how to react.

It’s Happened Again … David Hart Charged with Raping a PA Girl He Met on MySpace

How many times must children be warned!!!

Once again we are provided with a grim and all too common reminder of to be extremely careful when dealing with on-line social networking sights. A 37 year old man, David Hart, has been arrested and charged with the kidnapping and rape of a 14 year old girl that he met on MySpace.

Court documents show that a Wilmington man has been charged with raping and kidnapping a 14-year-old Pennsylvania girl he met on MySpace.

Thirty-seven-year-old David Hart was charged in February after persuading the Allentown girl to skip school and go with him to his home in January. The case became known when a federal search warrant was unsealed this month in U.S. District Court in Wilmington.

David Hart is charged with having sex with the girl while her brother played videogames in another room … GOOD GRIEF!!! David Hart told the minor he was 22 through communication on MySpace. Oh because that makes it legal, a 22 year old having sex with a 14 year old.

Barack Obama’s Presser … 55 Minutes and No Mention of Iraq, Afghanistan, Troops, Soldiers or War .. Hmm

What he didn’t say …

A 55 minute Obama press conference and no mention of Iraq, Afghanistan, troops, soldiers or War. Why would this be? Is it as Blue Crab Boulevard points to that these topics are of no great concern to Obama or the press at the present?  We are supposed to forget what is presently going on and on focus on the new whirl wind of spending Obama policies and act as if nothing else has occurred. Not referencing the troops and their bravery at every opportunity is hardly a change that one should embrace, especially a “Commander” and Chief.

A couple of surprising words were missing from President Barack Obama’s 55-minute news conference on Wednesday: “Iraq” — and “Afghanistan.”

54% of Americans Oppose “Cash for Clunkers” Plan … Next up Cash for Dunkers

The federal government is now in the business of bailing out people with old gas guzzling cars. Or should I say tax payers are, good grief. However, like most spending plans that Obama and the Democrats are putting forth and passing these days, Americans are against it.

Next up for this White House will be a subsidy plan that pays individuals for “cash for dunkers.” Anyone who can successfully show that they have dunked a cookie in a glass of milk will be paid up to 70% of the cost of the carton of milk and bag of Oreo’s. Does this really seem that far fetched from this Administration?

In a recent Rasmussen poll, 54% of Americans oppose the Cash for Clunkers, 35% were in favor and 12% were undecided and watching Jon & Kate Plus 8 announcing their divorce.

Congress now has sent its “Cash for Clunkers” bill to President Obama to sign into law, but most Americans oppose the plan to encourage people to trade in old cars for new, more fuel-efficient models. Few adults plan to take advantage of the program at this time.

Kids Say the Darndest Things … Daddy Killed Mommy, Joseph L. Warnock Arrested on Murder Charges as Protective Order Proves Useless

“Daddy killed Mommy” …  Another protective order not worth the paper is was written on.

Does any one  remember the TV show, Kids Say the Darndest Things?

41 year old Joseph L. Warnock was arrested Monday night and was accused of stabbing to death his estranged wife, Angela Warnock, while his two daughters hid in the closet. After Joseph Warnock, the oldest daughter called 911 and said, “daddy killed mommy”. Amazingly enough, the murder occurred two days after Angela Warnock obtained a  two year extension on the protective order that restricted Mr. Warnock from contact with his wife and daughters.

Joseph L. Warnock, 41, was arrested about 9 p.m. in the same neighborhood of Brownsburg where he had once lived with his wife, Angela Warnock, 38, said Lt. Roger Call of the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Department.

The wife was found stabbed in her bed at home on Sunday night. Investigators say the couple was going through a divorce and she had a protective order requiring him to stay away from her and their daughters.

The killing came two days after the wife obtained a two-year extension on the order.

Detective Sgt. Charles Morefield said Warnock forced his way into the home through a patio door just before midnight Sunday and went to a bedroom where his wife was sleeping with the girls.

Police said that when he began stabbing his wife, the girls ran into a closet and hid there for at least 15 minutes while their father was in the home.

When he left, the 12-year-old girl called 911 and told a dispatcher “Daddy stabbed Mommy.”

The story kind of reminds us of the case of then missing 26 year old Jessie Davis who would later be found deceased. The disturbing clue of the missing persons case occurred when her two year old son said to police, “Mommy was crying,” Blake told deputies. “Mommy broke the table… Mommy’s in rug.”
