Barack Obama … Let the Iranians Eat Ice Cream … Where is the Support for Democracy & Human Rights from the White House?

What is wrong with this President … Let them eat cake or is it ice cream!

This truly is an “Obamination”!!!

Barack Obama finally spoke out against the actions on Saturday by the Iranian regime when the brutality of what was taking place was on display for all to see and asked them to stop the “unjust actions.” It was far too little and far too late. Then … he went and got some vanilla ice cream in a “waffle” cone.

President Barack Obama stands with daughters Malia Obama, 10, left, and Sasha Obama, 8, and orders frozen custard at The Dairy Godmother in the Del Ray area of Alexandria, Va., Saturday, June 20, 2009. (AP/Alex Brandon)

CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW THE PRESS WOULD HAVE REACTED IN GWB DID SOMETHING LIKE THIS?

How in the tank is the mainstream media when we have people dying  (graphic pic) for their right to be free in a country like Iran than has been such a thorn in the side of America and the spread of democracy in the Middle East and the media thinks that covering Obama and his daughters having ice cream is news? WTF!!!

Who is out of touch? How does President Barack “Hussein” Obama waltz around as it nothing is going on in the world and enjoy an ice cream?

Nice image to present to the world Mr. President. I am sure the Iranian opposition protestors can take great solace in your support of enjoying an ice cream cone.

Oh but wait, this is the Obamamessiah we are referring to … let the man finish his ice cream. How does anyone compare and contrast these two stories with this out of touch President?

Iranian’s are being shot in the streets by a dictatorial regime who is an enemy of the United States and President Barack Obama goes and gets some ice cream. Hardly the actions of a liberal, Democratic President that everyone would think would be for human rights. Check out the pics at Revolutionary Road and see the people’s efforts to protest for freedom in the face of injury, arrest and death and contrast that with Obama getting ice cream.

Iran_protesters_rocks

Obama says: Let them have rocks

After a week of deafening silence from the White House on a fraudulent Iranian election in which President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was elected in a so-called landslide, Obama asked Iran to stop the “unjust actions” against their people and then went and had frozen custard with his daughters.

Meanwhile, Morrissey notes “The latest unverified/rumored death toll is 150. In other news, Obama ordered a small cup of vanilla” (Twitter death toll link corrected by me).

President George W. Bush freed over 50 million Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan during his watch. For his efforts he was made to be a villain and a “cowboy” by the US media. Barack Obama has a chance to make a real difference in Iran as the people have gotten to a boiling point where even they cannot stomach the fraudulent activities that took place during last week’s Presidential election. President Obama’s answer is to be neutral. He is hedging his bets. As Mark Styn from The National Review has stated, “Neutrality Isn’t an Option”.

The polite explanation for Barack Obama’s diffidence on Iran is that he doesn’t want to give the mullahs the excuse to say the Great Satan is meddling in Tehran’s affairs. So the president’s official position is that he’s modestly encouraged by the regime’s supposed interest in investigating some of the allegations of fraud. Also, he’s heartened to hear that OJ is looking for the real killers. “You’ve seen in Iran,” explained President Obama, “some initial reaction from the Supreme Leader that indicates he understands the Iranian people have deep concerns about the election . . . ”

In a word, Obama’s policy on Iran is gutless. This is why a President is elected, to make the tough decisions. Right or wrong, a President’s job is to make a decision, not waffle.

Dear Mr. Obama … you are the one who wanted to be President. That means you are President first and father and husband second. That is the choice you made.

UPDATE I: They killed Neda, but not her voice … from Michelle Malkin

Her name was Neda, which means “voice” in Farsi. According to numerous online accounts picked up by media outlets worldwide, she was shot in the streets by Iranian state police while protesting today. This is what repression looks (warning: graphic):

I wonder how many times you’ve written, or even thought about Iran in the last year. The truth is people are fixated on this now, thanks to the dramatic coverage and bandwagon mentality. But the world is full of troubles, some even more awful than what’s going on in Iran right now. Does that mean that Obama should never go out for ice cream. Yesterday, 85 people died in Iraq. People are starving in Haiti. Get a grip. Start opposing Obama intelligently and you might get heard.

#2 … Oh you pathetic Obama apologists.

      You do make me sick.

You bitched & moaned about GWB and wanted change. And in return we got Obama.

Nice Change. He stands by and watches people who cry out for freedom as he eats an ice cream cone. What a metaphor. Moses he is not.

It must kill you people that GWB freed 50 million Muslims and Barack Hussein Obama sits idly by. He was provided an opportunity for real change, but decides that TCBY is more important. I guess he is not for Democratic change, only socialist change. That’s the ticket.

I am glad he could support the Iranian people in their quest for change,

      You hypocrites.

      #3.

You mean the many times we wrote about Iran and the fact that this corrupt, dictatorial regime was funding the terrorists that were killing troops in Iraq?

      You mean like those times?

You mean like the times that it was discussed that troops in Iraq could be a staging ground for going into Iran and freeing the people?

      You mean like those times?

Get a clue you liberal haters. We are for supporting anyone who would want to be free. Especially when they finally get to the tipping point and all it takes is American leadership to help.

Instead we leave the poor Iranians at the barricades to be slaughtered.

Then again, you liberals were against the Tea Parties weren’t you.

I remember very well all the Bush haters coming out & bashing him because he sat in a classroom reading to the children on 9/11 and because he didn’t run from the room screaming, he was criticized. I remember all the haters coming out & saying that Bush was behind 9/11 because he didn’t react the way you thought he should. What a bunch of loonies. Is this the change you wanted? A President who doesn’t care about YOU, ME, the people of this country.

      You people make me sick.

the fine folk at SM, are already starting the meme, that the pres. should not go out for ice cream, as there are people in iran protesting!

get ready for the rest of the echo chamber on monday to ignore real stories and run with the garbage story that they usually do………
      ___________
SM … Jimbo, nobody forces you to read here if you can’t stand it. However, thank you for your readership.

You are allowed to go get an ice cream. Barack Obama must do the work of the people as he was elected to do. I do not think it is much to ask to have elected officials forgo 4 years of their lives and actually make “We the People” their priority.

That goes for Reps, Dems, Independents and socialists.

I do not think it is asking too much to actually have elected officials do the work of the people … not use their position for fringe benefits.

Barack Obama wants to make deals with Iran’s Government. Whats the Prez smokin?
Ahmadinejad, and the Supreme killer Ali Khamenei
are modern day Hitlers. Obama wants to talk with Hitlers? Look how they treat their own people!
Obama is the Neville Chamberlain of are times.
What a fool! Shame on him.

This is the most ridiculous post ever,The guy takes maybe an hour out of his day to get some ice cream on fathers day weekend with his daughters, and you criticize him because of some protests going on in the other side of the world.I guess he could criticize and make some phony statement like bush, then it would make it even harder to deal with this givernment once they ultimately stay in power….Sorry scaremonkeys but you have no credebility at all.Try finding valid things to criticize not stupidity like…

    11. SUPER DAVE on June 22nd, 2009 7:11 am

the obamacrats still don’t get it. they evidently are not American but welfare recepients, foriegners, and illegals. this is the America that barry is so hoping to acheive because they are easily hypnotized under his spell, therefore easily controlled. as we can tell by some of the posts here.

    12. katablog.com on June 22nd, 2009 8:18 am

This is the most ridiculous post ever,The guy takes maybe an hour out of his day to get some ice cream on fathers day weekend with his daughters, and you criticize him because of some protests going on in the other side of the world.

Interesting how the liberals minimize with “some protests going on in the other side of the world” and “takes maybe an hour out of his day”.

Let’s get this straight. These “protesters on the other side of the world” are real human beings who are DYING because their government refuses to give them a voice in their lives.

O not only went for ice cream with his daughters on Saturday, he played 18 holes of golf on Sunday while Iranians wanting freedom died in the streets! O wasn’t shoved into the job of President of the USA; he lied, cheated and stole to get there. Now that he’s there, he should get to it – being President isn’t a 9 to 5 job.

    13. katablog.com on June 22nd, 2009 8:24 am

O supporters make me sick. They will support this man no matter what he does, doesn’t do, says or doesn’t say. They ignore that unemployment is the highest it’s been in decades, welfare rolls are up, the country is in massive debt like we’ve never ever seen before and the one in charge is out playing golf and doing photo ops at the ice cream store!

You write as if this is all a game and you simply want to win versus understanding the peoples lives and dreams are on the line. Of course the leader of the USA should stand up for those people wanting what the USA’s very foundation stands for – freedom.

You want “human rights” for the terrorists in Gitmo because that’s what your man spews forth. But when it comes to the people of Iran simply asking for a fair election (something the USA gets further and further away from thanks to ACORN), suddenly they are protesters a world away.

You are so sick in your little bitty worlds.

ehhh….when do you rightwingers give a rats azz about something not US?

    16. Rusty Bridges on June 22nd, 2009 9:18 am

#13, ehhhh…., this does affect the US, it affects the world. Our president is the worlds president. Remember how he said that Mideast security and peace was his priority? I guess golf and ice cream is his priority now.

I’m sure he was “monitoring” the situation and “deeply concerned” but he really should have made a statement and got on TV to let the Iranian thugs know that we stand with democracy, oh I forgot who is president know. Okay, it makes sense now.

This is one of those moments when a President locks himself and his staff in the conference room like JFK and the missle crisis. This is some serious chit, this is a country that wants to and says it will wipe out Isreal AND the US. And we shouldn’t give a chit when there is obviously a fascist takeover in that country? You liberals are clueless.

I don’t recall Pres Bush goofing off during a crisis. Please remind me with a specific moment.

SM has been talking about Iran for a long time, look at the menu at the left and you will see a catagory for Iran. It is in alphabetical order so it should be easy for you.

    17. Trevor on June 22nd, 2009 10:56 am

Is SUPER DAVE the only American here?It seems like all his posts are about the blacks and mexicans and illegals and foreigners and unamericans.if u vote for obama-your unamerican.Go back to your country, go back where u came from.

this is 2009 SUPER DAVE..not the America of 1949.Eventually the WASP will be a minority and there is nothing you can do about it!its gona get worse and worse for your xenophobic racist ass!

    18. Chris on June 22nd, 2009 11:08 am

Have any of you been paying attention to the fact that multiple authorities in Iran have accused other countries, including the US, of manipulating entire situation for their benefit? That reporters from other countries are being beaten, imprisoned and deported for covering the protests and therefore creating “dissent”?

Exactly what do you think Iran’s leaders would be saying if Obama were to openly and vocally condemn their actions? “Oh, whoops, I guess America isn’t a puppet of Zionists who wish to destroy Islam, sorry about that, reform for everyone!” ?

    19. Michelle Smith on June 22nd, 2009 12:00 pm

#17 No, Super Dave is not the only American here but we do have quiet a few trolls & anti-Americans here.

As #12 stated above; this is not a 9-5 job. When Barack Hussien Obama took this job he knew what he was getting into and that date nights & vacations would have to be put on hold for a while. We are in a crisis and this is no time to be playing golf and dicking around. It’s time to get to work Mr. President. I thought you were going to change things, I thought you were going to make better relations between the U.S. & the middle east. Is this how you plan to make amends by turning your back on the innocent people of Iran when they need us?

      Trevor,

Just because Super Dave is tired of illegals raping this country does not make him a racist. Just because he doesn’t agree with Obama’s policies, doesn’t make him a racist. We have entirely too many illegals in this country mooching off the government (our tax dollars) and don’t contribute jack.

I don’t have a problem with anyone wanting to make a better life for themselves and their families but they need to go about doing it in the proper manner. We are tired of welfare recipients that don’t do jack but wait on a check. We are tired of lazy, worthless people mooching off our tax dollars.

We are tired of all the people who come on this board talking shit about America when they don’t have a clue because they don’t live here.

Jack Hammer, you can go for all the ice cream you want, you are not POTUS. The POTUS needs to do the job he was hired to do.

#17- Trevor—- Got a News Flash for you—SUPER DAVE IS a bigoted Racist, but he is allowed to post his opinion here just like anyone else. Most of the time, we just ignore him.

#14- Jack Hammer—Good thing to know that you log on to SM Daily to get your laughs….just look in the mirror…that’s pretty funny right there. So, you went to go get a Cone and catch a game, eh? Did you use your Food Stamps and Welfare check to pay for that or what? All you ever do is bitch and complain about the right- I just want to know—what do YOU do every day to make a difference in our World? You piss and moan about every freedom that you are given and take for granted in this country- and all you do is critisize GWB and every Republican because some of their views are the complete opposite of yours. What do you actually do but sit at your computer and spew BS every day? You seem to have a lot of free time on your hands, Jack—so go out and actually do something positive with your life while you still have a chance. I can GUARANTEE you this—there are more people who log on here that volunteer much more of their personal time & resources to admirable causes than you ever would. So, STUFF IT Jack–because you are still a TOOL with nothing positive to say about anyone or anything.

    22. ANewGirl on June 23rd, 2009 3:50 pm

#21—What the hell are you yammering about now, Jack? Best Friends…interesting. You wish!

Why can’t you ever offer answers to simple questions on any given topic or post? Why are Scared Monkeys often referred to as “you people”. You mean, who specifically—every other blogger than you? Certain individuals? Those of us on the right? Republicans? Independents? Please, humour me (your best friend) and further pontificate.

On second thought, Jack—DON’T BOTHER. You can’t back up JACK SHIT, don’t know JACK SHIT, and if this is too degrading or immature for you…then feel free to leave or forever remain the brainwashed IDIOT that you are.
