Frankly, conscious or unconscious, this guy deserved what he got. If you saw all the footage, this CRIMINAL almost ran over one of their follow officers. It was extremely close. In fact, one could easily make a case that the guy tried to kill the cop. And the only reason he ended up unconscious was from his own stupidity and bad luck. Does it look good that the cops are hitting a guy that couldn’t defend himself? NO! But, firing these cops for being pumped up and delivering as good as this guy tried to give does not deserve a firinge either.

      What?

You want to live in a Police State?

And to think you complain about corruption!

I’m sorry, you just don’t get it, do you?

      .

The Police don’t have the right to beat a man
who is unconscious and not resisting arrest.
What THEY did was criminal… and they did it
with GUSTO! Imagine, the lawsuit that could
have resulted if he would have died. Ship ‘em
out… especially, the one in the light colored
      vest!

      I expect better…

[After listening to the voice of reason]

      I’m glad we’re in agreement.

      Good Job, Dana!

      :)

Nurturer…I saw that you are talking about, this guy was trying to kill the cops!! No wonder they were mad as hell. However, now this nutcase will probably be a rich criminal by getting tons of money for this “injustice”.

    5. Carpe on May 21st, 2009 9:46 pm

Truthfully, I could care less about the sack of meat they were pounding on. …and he is a useless sack of meat.

Unfortunately, the part of the video clip that they will loop endlessly for tv viewing, will
be the 5 seconds or so that he was being hit
      while unconscious.

Not the part where the cop was being run over at 100 miles per hour.

You really have to want to be a cop to deal with that kinda crap. We live in a world where criminals get all the breaks, cops get NONE.

      Zero tolerance.

    6. nurturer on May 21st, 2009 9:56 pm

Hope – Interesting that you ask ME if I want to live in a police state when YOU are the one that supports the socialist agenda we live under right now through your hero, Barack Obama. Which is exactly what a socialist society consists of. More interference from government in one’s life and protection for the criminal.

Also, you may or may not have noticed, that the beating they gave this deserved ATTEMPTED MURDERER was not prolonged. They moved back VERY quickly, I believe when they realized there would be no resistance.

This was not “a la Rodney King”. Watch it again through neutral eyes, not blind ones and you’ll see that what happened was brief indeed.

Come into the real world Hope. The world awaits you.
      ———————————

“BUN” – This scumbag TRIED wholeheartedly to kill another human being and HOPE feels empathy for this “person”.

      How touching.

    7. HOPE on May 22nd, 2009 12:58 am

      No Nurturer…

Wrong again, I believe those enforcing the law
need to abide by it. If that was done in Aruba, Natalee would probably be getting ready for another graduation.

You can’t bend the law, especially for those that are responsible for enforcing it. If you do, you end up with shit… If you don’t believe me, look at Aruba. Why do you suppose the walls of the palace are described as crooked by Shango? Because they had bent the rules so many times, even the walls had grown crooked. That is what corruption is. It prevents justice from even having a chance to exercise itself.

Their actions were criminal and they should be charged as such. A situation can change, just like that… and when it does, they have to be prepared; not in a state of frenzy.

      We deserve better…

    8. HOPE on May 22nd, 2009 1:25 am

“BUN” – Those scumbags pulled out their clubs and beat another human being while he was lying on the ground, unconscious, after being thrown from a car going over a hundred miles an hour.

Nurturer thinks they should be applauded and feels no empathy for the victim, in this case…

      How telling.

      .

      Who are you anyway?

      Rumor Central?

      :)

      Carpe, you’re right, people find
      this film to be offensive…

      Why?

      Because it’s wrong.

    9. BUN on May 22nd, 2009 7:57 am

Hope…I would respond to you but you left our web site several weeks ago with a long and useless “good bye” so I know you are no long there, in mind at least…

    10. nurturer on May 22nd, 2009 8:43 am

Hope, Hope, Hope. Where in my post did I write that I thought the cops should be applauded?

I asked you this about another post of yours where you mentioned something I had presumably stated. Of course, you couldn’t back up your so-called assertion. Just as you can’t back up this one.

And how did this poor ‘victm’ become a victim? You far-left liberals live in a world of theory. Reality is of secondary importance.

And by the way, those police you call “SCUMBAGS” are your protection between the real scumbag thrown from the van and YOU.

    11. Michelle Smith on May 22nd, 2009 10:42 am

That man was not the “victim” he was the criminal but of course HOPE cares more about the criminals than she does about the real victim in this case. Too bad the scumbag didn’t die when he was thrown from the car at over a hundred miles per hour after he attempted to run over a cop then this would not be an issue.

Of course there are bad cops but there are also good cops and they are doing their jobs to serve & protect the innocent law-abiding citizens.

    12. sbf on May 22nd, 2009 11:56 am

The tape most people saw was seriously edited by Hoover DA’s office … but released by City of Birmingham DA’s office. Anything fishy?

What you did not see was “poor criminal” get up, walk over to the police car, enter the police car, and apologize to police officers repeatedly for trying to run down one of the officers w/ “poor” criminal’s car.

Birmingham needs one less criminal w/ a long rap sheet … if this guy gets out soon … I hope all you bleeding hearts will roll out the welcome mat to invite him to your city.

    13. HOPE on May 22nd, 2009 9:01 pm

      Oh excuse me, cry-baby, Nurturer:

      Does this sound familiar?

Frankly, conscious or unconscious, this guy deserved what he got.

      .

      BUN:

Please, if you would, post my long, useless Good-Bye… I’d be interested in reading it. I’ll bet it was a real work of art!

      .

      My Dear Michelle:

I have been caring about victims of crime for a very long time. In this case, there was more than one crime committed. It happens sometimes, just like you said. The guys car clipped the cop that was lying down a strip of nails… but, for the police to hand out their own measure of punishment is wrong.

The crimes he committed belonged in a court of law, not in a ditch. Had he been conscious and fighting, they’d have every right to beat him. That’s the law and, just like every other law, there’s a reason for it.

      :)

I can’t believe the very people that ask for Justice for this one and that, don’t have any idea about what Injustice is.

    14. HOPE on May 22nd, 2009 9:05 pm

      Excuse me that should read:

The punishment for the crimes he committed belong in a court of law, not in a ditch.

      That’s not justice, that’s injustice…

      .

      Comprende?

    15. Michelle Smith on May 24th, 2009 9:19 pm

And he will have his day in court, he lived to tell about it. BTW he is not the victim.

    16. saladin ali on May 27th, 2009 10:22 pm

First off if the guy is unconscious what the Cops did is a crime.

Check out my site and see what can happen when accountability is lacking in a Police Department.
