Sorry, but too little too late. A long standing rule of an appeal is that you can’t raise issues not raised during the first round in court. O didn’t raise the issue of national security during the original court appearance so it’s a dead issue.

If you ask me, he did this on purpose in order to release the photos and claim deniability when CIA agents and military personal are put in harms way.

Katablog I agree, I believe he did it on purpose as well, he is not going to take responsibility for anything, throw more people under the bus.

eventually they will be leaked or released when all troops are back home.

of course it’s not going to be nice.
it’s easier to not look back or refuse to believe what was done.

but the public needs to be able to know what has been done in their names.

I don’t think the pictures or the interrogation methods should be released to the public. These are tactics used to acquire information from terrorists. Why do liberals care more about the enemy than their own people? If that’s what is necessary to keep us safe then I don’t have a problem with it. They still have all their limbs & are still breathing unlike the way the terrorists treat their victims (beheadings, chemical torture, electrocution, etc. etc) This is tame in comparison. We need to be concerned about the war on terror and stop with all this bickering between parties.

if these pictures are to be shown then right along with them, the pictures of the people who were beheaded should be shown also.
watch these side by side and make your decision which is worse.

      @ #5 SUPER DAVE

is that’s how deep we sunk now?
we ain’t as bad as the terrorist, so it’s ok?

reminds me of Cheney: one day after 9/11 he said “we have to go to the dark side”.
one terrorist attack and he his willing to give up all morals, decency, rule of law.
no THAT is exactly what they (the terrorists) wanted!

in time these photos will be shown, no doubt about. either leaked or released.
it will be another VERY black page in the history of the US.
but it will be lesson too, to not lower the morals to the level of the enemy after being attacked.

worked counter-productive too, these tortures, because it fueled terrorist recruitment.
