Scared Monkeys Radio Daily Commentary – Tuesday, May 5, 2009 – It’s Official, the Obama White House Loves MSNBC

  • The Obama White House has made their love affair official with MSNBC, but what does the public think?

Obama official Kareem Dale confirms the White House’s love for MSNBC. So much for objectivity. Wasn’t Obama and this Administration supposed to bring about change? What was the change, having the media become a propaganda tool? Is this really supposed to be the relationship between a media outlet and our government? What ever happened to separation of Media & State?
For some inexplicable reason having to do with who knows what, a widespread impression has grown among many politics fans that MSNBC and its crowd of talkers — including Chris “Thrill Up My Leg” Matthews, Norah “The GOP Is Doomed to Die” O’Donnell and Ed “It’s Time to Grind Them Into the Ground” Schultz — are somewhat in favor of President Obama.

Apparently the new White House has a popular internal saying involving the words “love” and “MSNBC.”
What is most disturbing regarding the White House “Love Affair” with MSNBC is that the network probably wishes more houses in America felt the same. What type of fringe element has the WH fell in love with when they are supposed to represent “All the People”. The Obama Administration had promised change. So how is it that they would cozy up next to such a media outlet that does not hide their bias or hate toward the right? More perplexing is why the love affair would exist with such a small, isolated segment of the population when Obama promised hope and change for all. Sadly, as Brutally Honest puts it, who would’ve guessed that Obama gets a reciprocal thrill up his own leg?

Below is a list of the top cable news programs for the first quarter of 2009. Only one MSNBC show is on this list at #10.

Please, to pre-empt the obligatory Obama apologists who will go back and say, blah, blah, blah what about GWB & Fox News, blah, blah, blah.

First of all Obama to take responsibility for his own Presidency and stop blaming others. The buck stops with him. He wanted the job, well Job here now.

Second, Obama promised change which by definition means, something different. So if liberals feel that GWB was to cozy with Fox then why does that make it OK for the Chosen One? Oh, that’s right. There are two different sets of rules.

Three, in many respects FOX News was not easy on GWB. As a matter of fact BOR hammered him on spending. Hannity questioned his spending.

The fact of the matter is that the media was always supposed to be on the side of the People, not Government.

When a media/government has a love affair … you have the USSR and PRAVDA.

Ah, it’s very simple. NBC is surviving with promises from the Obama administration that it will send green contracts to them. This is payback from Obama for NBC basically dropping to their knees and performing oral sex on Obama…which had led to the fact that the parent company that owns them, GM is fluttering!

NBC went so far left that they left their journalistic values behind; disparaging people like Sarah Palin and John McCain, all the while sitting on stories about Rev Wright and the such.

It’s obvious NBC and the White House are in bed together. The Feds and the American people need to watch closely this relationship.

“What was the change, having the media become a propaganda tool? Is this really supposed to be the relationship between a media outlet and our government?”

      It worked for Hitler.

    4. SUPER DAVE on May 5th, 2009 7:57 am

it’s called controlling the media. a communist way of controlling the people.
without the media, barry would not be president.

    5. Scared Monkeys on May 5th, 2009 8:07 am

My Dem friends do not even watch this network.

For all those people who bitched & moaned anr railed about Fox & GWB, what’s the difference? Where is the change?

Oh, its OK because its your guy. You have lost all credibility in the debate.

MSNBC would never question the President like Fox did GWB.

    6. Dolf on May 5th, 2009 8:14 am

well the change is that Fox isn’t the prevered network anymore by the Whitehouse.

But yes, the relationship of the GW admin with Fox is as questionable as the relation of Obama with MSNBC.

2 bad for Obama is that Fox is doing much better

    7. Dolf on May 5th, 2009 8:16 am

fyi: we can view CNN, not FOX.

      CNN sucks

    8. nurturer on May 5th, 2009 8:47 am

I’m just delighted that the new President finds the White House experience so ENCHANTING.

I mean, if the MSM hadn’t asked, we would never have known!!!!!

    9. nurturer on May 5th, 2009 9:34 am

#6 – Obama doesn’t need Fox to screw up. But I knwo what you mean. For a guy that hasn’t even administrated over a lemonade stand, let alone a country, he will manage his own demise just fine.

    10. Scott on May 5th, 2009 9:43 am

I’m glad you know or think you know so much dolf…you missed the point, FOX did not treat GWB with kid gloves unlike MSNBC does with Obama and the it’s evident why; and therefore is NOT as questionable as the relation with Obama and MSNBC. Get a f’in clue dude.

    11. nurturer on May 5th, 2009 10:14 am

#6 & #7 – If you don’t recieve the FoxNews channel, then how would you know if GWB received prefertial treatment from it?

    12. SUPER DAVE on May 5th, 2009 11:34 am

      KAREEM OF WHEAT ?

    13. caesu on May 5th, 2009 12:27 pm

FOX News has a lot of viewers who watch to get some light entertainment.
it’s really dumbed down fake news without facts.

      this Glenn Beck for example.
      it’s fun to watch sometimes.

i know it’s all an act, but sometimes you worry that he has serious mental issues.

    14. yoyo muffintop on May 5th, 2009 1:54 pm

Uh…yeah…sure folks, O’Reilly, Hannity and Beck are certainly pragmatic, clear thinking, voices of reason. Olbermann/Matthews/Maddow the same.
The White House likes MSNBC – so what? Dick Cheney only watched Fox News. Personally I believe this MSNBC/Fox News bashing is silly.

It appears, depending on your ideology, you think one is the word of God and the other is fascist propaganda.

    15. Michelle Smith on May 5th, 2009 3:32 pm

hahaha…YoYo, Caesu & Dolf are so funny. lol

    16. SUPER DAVE on May 5th, 2009 4:38 pm

    17. LilPuma on May 5th, 2009 5:01 pm

I saw a bumper sticker that read:

How can Obama face terrorists if he can’t even face Fox News?

    18. ANewGirl on May 5th, 2009 6:19 pm

The answer on today’s topic is! :

“FOX did not treat GWB with kid gloves unlike MSNBC does with Obama and the it’s evident why; and therefore is NOT as questionable as the relation with Obama and MSNBC.”

      Thank you, Scott

      #15- Michelle S… I agree:

Yoyo, Ceasu & Dolf = The Three Stooges

    20. Michelle Smith on May 5th, 2009 9:54 pm

Wow! YoYo Just because a few kool-aide drinkers say it doesn’t make it true now does it? What a tool.

      ROFLMAO

    21. yoyo muffintop on May 5th, 2009 11:16 pm

#20 – Fox News is biased, MSNBC is biased.

How foolish do you look #20 defending a news channel that you not only don’t own, you more than likely don’t own stock in it?

Answer: You look pretty foolish babydoll.

    22. Dolf on May 6th, 2009 1:46 am

      @11: Internet

    24. Michelle Smith on May 6th, 2009 9:09 am

    25. Dolf on May 6th, 2009 9:37 am
