How truly sad. Another precious child taken at the hands of a parent. What the hell is wrong with people?

      R.I.P. Emma Barker

I live in S. CA. When I first heard story on news it didn’t pass the “smell test”. After the remains were found I wasn’t surprised that the Mom decalred it was an accident, what ever happened to 911? A beautiful baby girl how sad. My babies are over forty now and they are still my babies. How could a Mother do such a thing.

This just makes you want to scream. There is nothing worse than the death of a child at the hands of their parents. I can’t even think I am so ill at the thought of how this mom could even consider this. The worst part is that she was only concerned about herself. She dumped her daughter like trash, then made up a story so she wouldn’t get caught. Extremely ignorant. Did she really think she could outsmart the police? I can only say this is ignorance and selfishness. No concern for another human let alone your own baby is just awful.

The punishment for this crime should be whatever the baby killer did to her child. Children see their parents as their Gods, how can they harm them. If you get that frustrated, take a breather, fricken put them in their crib and walk out for a few mins, until you gain your composure. Is it really worth killing a innocent soul over? I swear some people should be spayed. RIP Beautiful Angel Emma!!:(

I was a Mom at 16 (yes, I know stupid, but stuff happens)and again at the ripe old age of 23. Never in my life did I lose control of myself and inflict harm to either of my sons. I never spanked, slaped, or verbaly abused my sons. I am sick to death of people using age or lack of education or poverty as an excuse to abuse children. We need to start protecting the children and intorduce harsher punishment for abusers. Nuff said.

I have been pondering all of these mothers killing their children, and yes, it is the most heinous crime ever. One of the things I’ve been thinking about it what pushes them to this — not to give them an excuse BUT WHERE ARE THE FRICKING FATHERS!!!! You know, the other person who created this child. It isn’t easy to be a parent, no less a single one — THOSE FATHERS need to BE THERE (weather they are with mom or not) to pick up some of the stress and the slack — I believe we’d see a lot less of this if some of these women has support of the DAD — not the grandma, not the aunt, not the sister — the OTHER PERSON THAT MADE THEM>

Happy I agree with you something is trully lacking in our society when the fathers are not there as protectors i grew up in a single family home and i can say that mothers get stressed out to the point of taking it out on their kids and when these girls live with their parents there is a double stress of trying to assert their roles as parents while proving themselves as adults to their parents. I also think the culture of death has a lot to do with this subconsciuosly these girls believe they have the right to chose whether to get rid of their child or not if they are in the way of their lives even after the baby is born. I fear how many more of these cases this culture of death will create.
