Obama’s New Pals Dictators of Bolivia, Cuba, Dominica, Honduras, Nicaragua and Venezuela State Capitalism ‘threatens life on the planet’

Obama embracing those that think capitalism ‘threatens life on the planet.’

It would appear that Barack Obama’s newest, bestest friends (South American dictators from Bolivia, Cuba, Dominica, Honduras, Nicaragua and Venezuela) from the 5th Summit of the Americas all think capitalism is the ruination of the planet and mankind. The very people that Obama just recently embraced, shook their hands, fist bumped, accepted anti-capitalism books from and coddled all think that “capitalism” is the evil SATAN.

Think Obama taking pictures with socialist dictators isn’t dangerous?

Obama_chavez_handshake

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” (United States Presidential oath)

The Declaration does not provide answers to the Global Economic Crisis, even though this crisis constitutes the greatest challenge faced by humanity in the last decades and is the most serious threat of the current times to the welfare of our peoples.

1. Capitalism is leading humanity and the planet to extinction. What we are experiencing is a global economic crisis of a systemic and structural nature, not another cyclic crisis. Those who think that with a taxpayer money injection and some regulatory measures this crisis will end are wrong. The financial system is in crisis because it trades bonds with six times the real value of the assets and services produced and rendered in the world, this is not a “system regulation failure”, but a integrating part of the capitalist system that speculates with all assets and values with a view to obtain the maximum profit possible. Until now, the economic crisis has generated over 100 million additional hungry persons and has slashed over 50 million jobs, and these figures show an upward trend.

2. Capitalism has caused the environmental crisis, by submitting the necessary conditions for life in the planet, to the predominance of market and profit. Each year we consume one third more of what the planet is able to regenerate. With this squandering binge of the capitalist system, we are going to need two planets Earth by the year 2030.

Read much, much more to the declaration of Obama’s new found friends …

I think its great that Obama is opening up the lines of communication. Being a bully didn’t work, so its time to try something else. Obama’s not ‘bestest’ friends with these people simply because he shook hands and had pictures taken with them.

      #2, grow up.

Imagine being the opposition factions in Venezuela, think they believe they can count on Obama for any help.

Jared … you don’t suck up to dictators.

      Now go make a sub.

If you do not like or do not support capitalism … you are anti-American.

      Red:

I believe I told you over a year ago that we were heading into a financial crisis… one that would bring into question our way of thinking, specifically, having to do with capitalism.

I don’t have the answers, nor do any of the idiots that post to this board on a regular basis. But, certainly, seeking peace with our neighbors is not ‘anti-American’… it’s called diplomacy. Are we to open our borders and let them come in? I don’t know. But, offering a starving nation food is not such a bad idea. Especially, when you consider that the people of the U.S. have become a nation of ‘gluttons’ in a world dying of starvation… heartless.

Our Father which art in heaven,

      Hallowed be thy name.

      Thy kingdom come.

Thy will be done in earth,

      as [it is] in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

      And forgive us our debts,

      as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation,

      but deliver us from evil:

      For thine is the kingdom,

      and the power,

      and the glory,

      for ever.

      Amen.

      .

Hope, you must be one of those idiots because I see your name constantly on these boards.
It is not called diplomacy, it is called letting our guard down and eventually paying for it. Opening our borders is a sad mistake. This is OUR country and I am sickened to the core over my childrens and grandchildrens lives being mortgaged by the farce of a president. Offering a starving nation food? GMAFB, we have starving people in our own country to take care of. You blathering and worthless drivel is like being picked to death by chickens. You have gone beyond drinking the Obuma kool aid and now it is intravenous.

#4 Scared Monkeys, you say in your post that “If you do not like or do not support capitalism … you are anti-American.”

I appreciate the benefits of the Capitalist system but many capitalists have turned their backs on this country just to make more money. They sell weapons and technology to our enemies, their factories leave our country because they can get workers in other countries to work for a tenth of the cost and do not have to deal with working conditions or other problems(like child labor laws or working hours).

They are capitalists from this country but I question their “American” values. To put the shoe on the other foot I would venture to say they are quite un-American themselves, willing to turn their backs on our country and get money from us to help move their factories overseas to boot.

Unfortunately, in the REAL WORLD capitalism does not always equal Americanism.

I enjoy the fruits of Capitalism but do not get blind-sided, it can work for or against you, like anything else in life.

    10. St Stephen on April 25th, 2009 10:18 pm

As for the opposition in Venezuela, I also feel that President Obama, since he made the first move to establish relations, must acknowledge the loyal opposition of the Venezuelan Regime as well, perhaps even inviting the leader of that opposition FIRST to talk with him at some location. It would set a sincere gesture that Democracy is not a one way direction. What is the chance of that happening?

I dunno, but it is a move that is imperative if he is serious at all about our Democratic principles. He did tour Europe when he wasn’t even yet elected President, likewise with the opposition of any government, they should be invited and welcomed as well.

in the presidential oath it doesn’t say: “i will preserve capitalism”.
so i’ve no idea how you came up with that anti-america claim.

      it’s funny.
during the bush years any dissent from the left was called anti-american by the right.
now it is suddenly the other way around.

my advise for the right: spread your rage!
obama is not even 100 days president.
4 years or possbily even 8 years to go.

with the amount of lunacy on the right i doubt there will be many with a sane mind left at the time of the mid-term election.
very few are going to vote for party with lunatics like limbaugh, glenn beck being to only leaders of that party.

      and be prepared.
obama is going to shake a lot more hands with people the right doesn’t approve of.
haven’t you guys got the message yet?
america has chosen for obama: diplomacy, decency, intelligence, morality.

      This is our EARTH!

I don’t know whether you read the full declaration, but some of it makes sense. Too bad you can’t see beyond the propaganda that has been hand fed to you by a president that cared very little about you or your children. But, I have to hand it to our friends to the south, that was quite a declaration; and, certainly, something to think about.
