CNN Tries to Hide Tea Party “You Tube” Video Evidence Showing CNN & Reporter Susan Roesgen Are Liberal Hacks

CNN … Me thinks thou dost protest too much. Fair use v. “supposed” copyright violation

The once most “respected” name in News now tries to hide the news

Wonder why so many people have tuned out the main stream media? Maybe it is because they continually prove they are nothing more than liberal, bias hacks! This was never more evident that on April 15, 2009 at the Chicago Tea Party when CNN reporter (liberal activist) Susan Roesgen provided some of the most abusive liberal bias seen in quite some time as she purposely with “Malice and Forethought” got into arguments with Tea Party go’ers and then stated that Tea Parties as being promoted by Fox News and being “anti-CNN”. Anti-CNN? They wish they still had some relevance at CNN for someone to actually target them.

The Founding Bloggers truly hit a nerve with CNN with their exclusive footage of their reporter making a fool out of herself. The result, CNN attempting to say that there is a copyright violation. No, they just can’t stand their own reporter’s free speech be broadcast for all to see.

The first question that should be asked of CNN and the mainstream media is why are they making such a big deal of this? I thought no one went to these “supposed” Tea Parties. The media, including CNN, reported the Tea Parties as a right wing joke, they served no purpose and nothing would come of them. So why is CNN so quick to make the Tea Parties such a big deal? Maybe because deep down is the recesses of their liberal, squelch free speech at all cost minds they know that the Tea Party movement was born and here to stay.

CNN, so embarrassed by the video footage caught live and in color by The Founding Bloggers has asked You Tube to take it down sighting copyright infringement. Guess what CNN, IT’S BACK!!!

Check out the VIDEO that CNN is afraid of the public to see.

 Hat Tip: Patterico’s Pontifications

CNN claims its is protecting it’s intellectual property, hardly. As Powerline stated, this has more to do with hiding evidence and CNN in a CYA of embarrassing video and unprofessional behavior.

It is hard to avoid the inference that in this case, CNN was motivated not by a desire to protect its intellectual property but by a desire to avoid embarrassment caused by the unprofessional performance of its reporter. In today’s world, though, it just isn’t possible to track down all copies of a video and suppress them, when the video relates to a matter of broad and legitimate public interest. That CNN is willing to make the attempt reveals something, perhaps, about its attitude toward the public’s right to be informed.

The question at the table is, is there any validity to CNN’s copyright claim?  Ben Sheffner of Copyrights and Campaigns weighs in. It would appear from the answer provided, the verdict is no.

CNN does own copyright in its own news footage and, as a general matter, has the right to demand its removal from YouTube. However, as to this particular video, I think Founding Bloggers has a very strong fair use defense. The purpose for Founding Bloggers’ posting of the CNN footage is crystal clear: to comment on and criticize CNN’s reporting on the “Tea Party.” Such a use is right in the heartland of the fair use doctrine; the statute specifically mentions “criticism, comment, [and] news reporting” as protected uses that are “not an infringement of copyright.” 17 U.S.C. § 107. To quickly run through the four fair use factors as they apply here: 1) the use is transformative (for critical comment); 2) the CNN footage is factual, not fictional, and was previously broadcast; 3) the amount used is small in relation to the whole CNN broadcast; and 4) any effect on the market is minuscule (and if fewer people watch CNN because this video causes them to think less of its coverage, that’s simply not cognizable harm). Many fair use cases are difficult, close calls–but, given the facts as I know them, this is an easy one.

Patterico’s Pontification is asking bloggers to upload the video.

In the meantime, I encourage every reader with a YouTube account to upload this video to YouTube. I encourage every blogger reading this to embed this same video to your own site. We have to stop these thugs from reading fair use out of the law whenever they’re embarrassed.

Macsmind second’s Patterico’s motion and has the feed as well. As well as now most of the blogosphere.

There is no value to the CNN network. I have to LOL to their expression for one of their news programs “NO BIAS NO BULL”

When you post something like that, people know your trying too hard to get new viewers and let people think your a decent network.

Wow! I had seen clips of this, but not the whole thing. Unbelievable. CNN should be very embarassed. This reporter proved what so many already knew.

This is why our Country is doomed. THe media who should be lobbying for the American people have become agenda agents of the extreme left. They are elitist who look down on Americans who don’t like in DC or NY. They don’t get it and never will. How can the Gov be changed if the media won’t listen to us.

well isn’t she right about Foxnews being anti-CNN?

    6. scott on April 20th, 2009 9:49 am

#5 – No nitwit, she’s not! FoxNews doesn’t care about CNN. They crush them in EVERY time slot! CNN is a tick on the balls of FoxNews!

That joke of a reporter (now on leave conspicously) from CNN was put in her place by the woman in the video.

It’s laughable how Obama and these leftist reporters and the left nutjobs on this site throw out that WHOPPING $400 tax credit when broken down comes to anywhere from $8 to $13 a week. A whole $8 a week while Obama and his administration CONTINUE to spend our tax dollars in ways that HAVE PROVEN THROUGHOUT HISTORY do not work.

These reporters keep touting this $400 as Obama’s promise of a tax cut to 95% of Americans…if that’s the case then you left wing fools had the wool pulled over you eyes you bozos!

And if you are a smoker who is getting $400, Obama basically took that back with his FEDERAL TAX increase on cigarettes, this coming from a smoker, Obama. It’s like Geihtner being the Treasury Secretary who can’t figure out his own taxes.

Obama and his whole administration are HYPOCRITES of the umpth degree and so are the liberals that are CLINGING to his coat-tails begging for a government handout!

I listen to certain things on CNN but for the facts or details I listen to fox news. I have know bias, but I go where I need to go for info.

    8. Jayne on April 20th, 2009 12:33 pm

This reporter needs to buy a clue. When she asked what has Liberty have to do with Taxes, I thought how can anyone be that stupid.

    9. caesu on April 20th, 2009 1:30 pm

still going on about that tea bagging party.
biggest non-news of the year. what a joke. LOL.

if this is all the right has left they better make some new plans else they are in for another crushing defeat in 2010 and 2012.

    10. Jessica on April 20th, 2009 2:47 pm

Caesu, this isn’t a right or left problem. This is a corrupt government, congress, senate and politician problem. The fighting amongest themselves is strictly a show and it fuels the flames of people that have your mindset. We all better start working together or our government will bankrupt our children, grandchildren and great-grand children, not just our generation. They are all working together to drive this country into the ground and that is the sad truth.

    11. scraps on April 20th, 2009 3:15 pm

CNN has become a joke, sadly. They had a “news story” today about how being overweight was bad for the environment. Funny, I thought things like recycling and not wasting electricity were what mattered…not one’s appearance.

    12. dennisintn on April 20th, 2009 4:34 pm

a highly paid public relations firm wouldn’t work as hard at bolstering and protecting the ONE as cnn and msnbc does.

    13. scott on April 21st, 2009 6:50 am

Really? Biggest non-news story of the year? Then why would CNN and MSNBC and NBC allowed spewed hatred and racism by the likes of garbarge like Garofolo? Then why go to the lengths of discredit it by the those losing companies? Why stoop the the 5th grade level of using “teabagging?”

Because it was a news story and the left is threatened…

Put your money where your big mouth is…there will be no crushing defeat…there will be a Republican back in the White House in 2012.

    14. SUPER DAVE on April 21st, 2009 7:18 am

CAESU: you are admitting that barry will bankrupt our children. yoyo is going to turn on you if you’re not careful. you really know that barry is bad for the country but still defend him. pitiful!

Dave, your kids were bankrupted by the Bush admins

Obama is taking care of there kids

If only the one Tea Party (Burleson Tx) I went to was the only one nation wide, it should have been news. Though as I flipped through the local network affiliate stations news casts, none reported it as the lead story. —When the traffic in and out was stalled; cops writing tickets for u turns with glee. At a big crowd of nice people, absent of rock tossing, kind to any in attendance. As you talk to the people in the crowd you saw they were folks who took care of their kids, keep trash up out of the yard, lend a hand to those in need, contribute time to thier community, listen to the details of news. I saw not one drunk and smelled no roll. The world is upside down when good people do not matter.

Being interested in geology. One of my numerous excuses for the insane thinkers of this time: Poles are shifting as they do from time to time. There is enough magnetic matter in the brain to angle cells. I assume it affects socialists first. ~

    18. scott on April 21st, 2009 10:16 am

Dolf – goes to show how little you know… Obama is bankrupting our children. Do the math…OBAMA has TRIPLED down on the deficit in just 90 days! TRIPLED DOWN IN 90 DAYS!

Actually, those Dems in Congress, Pelosi, Frank, and Dodd bankrupting this country not the Bush administration!

God, I hate it when non-Americans try to take a stance in American issues!

    19. Dolf on April 22nd, 2009 2:33 am

scott, your liberal point of view is somewhat wrong.

under Reagan the deficts spiraled (a weaponsrace is not cheap)
SM: and the economy flourished for years to come. It is not cheap to win a cold war against the Soviet Union, but won one the Gipper did.

    20. Dolf on April 22nd, 2009 7:35 am

      and thankfull we are.

and the war was won because the west (US) just had much more money to spend.

that and the fact that womans also started to work more (bringing more income etcetc)

well at least here they do. every woman I know works at least 20hours a week, almost all work more then that, only the ones with newborns (just had a babyboom in our circle) don’t work temporaly)

Red, Gipper, Where did that come from?

    21. scott on April 22nd, 2009 8:54 am

#20 you are a baboon. You have no idea what the word liberal means. Now Reagan was a liberal? F U. THE GREATEST PRESIDENT EVER! That is back when the world FEARED us. Go back and do some reading before spouting your trash mouth against Reagan and you lack of knowledge about him. He oversaw the GREATEST NON-WAR TIME ECONOMIC PROSPERITY IN US HISTORY! Can NOT be argued! He is credited with creating 20M jobs.

Yep, ok, the women in the workforce changed it. I lived here in the 80s and women hardly changed the economic shape of our country under Reagan. You indeed are a misguided and MISINFORMED minion!-

    22. Dolf on April 22nd, 2009 9:17 am

scott, instead of swearing you might actualy read something.

      a) I was happy with Reagan as a US president (stated that several times, but i understand that when your head is up your ass its difficult to read, i forgive you for that)

look with your choice of words and the arguments you bring forward you might score at the rightwing uninformed arrogant HOSTILE FULL OF SHIT playground.

But anywhere else in the world… luck for scottie there

but that doesn’t matter right, because they are not Americans and only Americans know how the world works

    23. Dolf on April 22nd, 2009 9:18 am

      where do you live btw?

    24. isaac on March 25th, 2010 9:39 am

Point proven with the article….However, I am still appalled by the level of hate rhetoric readily available in Tea-Party gatherings.

That woman talking to the reporter has discredited herself by hanging out with individuals who spread hate, racist and promote class wars. Look at how angry the crowd is. You’d thing a guy from the government knocked on the door and asked people to empty their wallets. To think they are bringing babies to such rallies…that’s despicable.

Of course the News won’t interview her if she is surrounded by such individuals.

      regarding “a more perfect blog”….
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union…

“So begins the U. S. Constitution, with one of the most famous grammatical “errors” in history. We are often told that “perfect” is an absolute. There is “perfect” and there is “not perfect”; there is no “more perfect”. Correct, we are told, is “nearly perfect” and “more nearly perfect”. Well, times have changed. “More perfect” is now correct, with good reason”

this tea party is just an off shoot of the klan masquerading as a conservative party. there in nothing party about them, unless you call a lynching party a party. these people are the same so-call christain right group, hiding behind the pulpit as a white supremacist group. who use the so-call church as a front group. the old hate doctor billy graham, pat evil robertson, jerry falwell all the rest, racist white supremacist, nothing else.
SM: Ignorance and hate alive and well on the LEFT.

This is yet another reason to Remember in November and vote of the fools that this clown would support.

You on the LEFT are just so loving and tolerant.
